Wow! This is one romance read. Word of warning--this book contains scenes and subject matter that may be hard to read. This is definitely a dark romance book and Leah and Jacob have really great chemistry. Jacob Renaud is a hot and sexy man who is also a thief who steals things when he sees feels like it. Jacob is at the Waterson house for a painting. But instead found something even better-- Waterson's daughter Leah. He ends up taking Leah and the reason he left with her is so wicked yet so delicious. Jacob and Leah go on this journey that is fraught with angst, anger, despair, passion and there great plot twist and turns. I loved the sexual chemistry and the sex scenes that even had some intense sexual heat. I will admit I didn’t know where this story was going to go or if there was ever going to be a HEA…you definitely need to read this book to get the full effect. It is one story that will linger after its over. Leah and Jacob are a couple that deserved to find happiness – Leah deserved it after the unhappiness she had at home with her father and Jacob, he deserved to find love after his colorless life and to be shown he was someone worthy of love. Do they end up together or will they burn out and break apart? You definitely need to get a sizzling copy of Stolen. I loved this story by new author Lana Hartley and I will be reading her again!

Definitely not for the faint of heart. Take warning that this book contains scenes and subject matter that may be difficult to read. This is a very dark romance with some themes that aren't "nice" at all. I am not completely comfortable with the "bought" and "kept" aspects of this relationship but the chemistry and encounters between Leah and Jacob are compelling. The elements of sexual slavery in this book give me the heebie-jeebies, but I can see how those intense emotions were necessary to get both Leah and Jacob to their happy ending. I enjoyed watching the pair of them come to realize how important the other person is to them and just how far they would go to protect their partner. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
Loved this story, Leah and Jacob were so drippy (as a friend of mine says). Enjoyed throughly. I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book.
Jacob might be an art thief, but it was Leah's heart he stole. And in turn he got his heart stolen as well. This book had a dark theme running throughout it, but I could see that their need for each other transcended beyond the immediate gratification of sex, and there was plenty of it. There were good plot twists and turns that had me wondering where it was going, who was going to do what, but in the end there was a satisfying HEA for this rough, tough man, and Leah with a will of steel. Sparks fly in this quick read. An intriguing plot with dark elements and twists of drama that will have you reading in one sitting. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
The sex is sizzling. The plot intriguing. To me it did feel a little disconnect between the story line and the flow (If that makes sense) I really wish there was more dialogue to help with that. Just put more of that in there to help understand what's always going on it it would have been phenomenal.
I got this as an ARC for my honest opinion and review. This is my first book by this author, but I am looking forward to reading more. Jacob is an art thief and he is there to steal a piece of art, but what he left with is a woman. He knows that he has to make her his. The desire in this book verges on wickness. I love that. There is just something about how they came together. Will Leah be free or will she happily given in the man who Stole her?
This is a hot, steamy, very intense sexual dark book. Jacob is at the Waterson house for a painting. But instead, he found Waterson's most prized possession- his daughter. See Mr. Waterson was keeping his daughter pure and sweet for when he needed her the most. But Jacob has other plans for her.. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. First book I've read by this author and damn I will continue to read them as well.
Jacob Renaud is one hot and sexy arrogant man who steals things when he sees fit. Well bumbing into the lovely Leah Waterson in the hallway while stealing a painting is just what he wants instead of the car he was going to get for a deal gone bad. Leah cannot believe her father is selling her because of his mishandling of business. Well Jacob is the least concerned of her disapproval he's already explained she's not leaving one cage for a new one. He's saving her from a worst fate and hopes she understands. He's happy to be getting this innocent piece of woman who's never been with a man. The thoughts that are going through his head to have her the way he wants her to be had.
Ok so you will just have to read the book. The sex is HOT AS HELL. There's drama especially when Leah leaves and is attacked when she returns to Jacobs home. I truly loved this dark and sexy book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Wow, well that was different. The romance/ relationship between Jacob Renaud and Leah Waterson. Very intense but you can understand why. Leah is basically under her fathers controlling ways, not really caring for her as a father should, a selfish greedy man. What man sells his son and now his daughter, an asset. Jacob is, as he says a selfish man but he wants Leah as his so she is basically going from one controlling man to another. He does love her in his own way but Leah has the biggest journey of all. Finding out what she wants in life to feel safe, dealing with her own emotions. Jacob makes her feels things she never has before. A sort of love/hate relationship but knows she has to take control of her life. So major decisions are now made and Leah will have to live with her choices. A different slant on boy meets girl but a brilliant story non the less. Loved it.
this was a first book of yours i read and i loved it! its about man who is a thief so he steals this guys daughter to make his own. he has some dark needs that may scare her away. she gives everything to him even her heart. thanks for giving me a chance to read this book!
A dark and steamy read by Lana Hartley about a man, Jacob, who gets whatever he wants but is also an art thief. When Leah is offered as payment by her father to Jacob he can't resist, there's something about her that he wants to possess and yet set free from her father's prison. Leah feels as though she is leaving one prison for the next but the feelings that Jacob evokes out of her are confusing. When she betrays Jacob she feels guilty and lost, wanting him back...but is it too late...read and find out. I enjoyed this dark, steamy, intense read but there was no epilogue and I enjoy my epilogues. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
Stolen is a story about Jacob Renaud, an art thief, and the young woman he steals. Jacob actually gets her as part of a business deal that he had with her father. And oh boy he really has plans for her. The basic story was good, the execution was flawed.
I had a horrible time following the story. There was the scene where she was getting her hair done and then the next chapter ended up in the bedroom….I think…I thought maybe she was dreaming, but I think it was real….still not sure….I was so lost I can’t really say what happened. And the part about calling the detective….not sure how that evolved. It seemed like a bunch of bedroom scenes all jammed together….there was very little character development and interaction.

This book was on the dark side. The female character - Leah, has just been sold by her father to Jacob Renaud, a art thief. We aren't sure why her father sold her other than she was going to be sold to the highest paying business partner.
Jacob is older is a professional art thief. We don't know much about him other than he likes the kinky sex side of things.
This book had the makings of a good story but I think the author focused to much of sex scenes than making the book work together. In one scene Leah is out getting her hair cut and pampered and then the next chapter she getting herself hot and wet. I wish their was more fluidity in this book. I don't think things were explained well, or we didn't seem to know what all was going on.
