A cry for help answered too late. A woman’s soul lost to the sea. Now three children are left without a mother, and Sandi Beck is driven by guilt to search for answers.
As she sifts through the remains of Liz Bryson’s life, Sandi is drawn into a web of lies that shakes her belief in the woman she once knew. Every new clue brings her closer to a truth that threatens to destroy a grieving family---and the man she loves.
Great read! Well-written; setting descriptions, plot, and character development are well-presented; I was surprised several times when I thought I knew what was coming next.
Met the author and purchased a signed copy at a small, independent bookstore in Historic Corolla NC in August of this year, 2019. The book did not disappoint. A solid read. Plan on reading the next one.
I was delighted to find this book on the Northern Neck! Thank you, Ann for offering a book signing at our local Irvington art Gallery! I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this novel, the enjoyable main character, and the writing style. It is fun to picture local places as described in the book. I recommend this 1st in her series!
KIND LIES is a very short novel which kept me intrigued, but I had some issues with believability. I recommend this novel to someone who wants to read a quick mystery.
