Rate this book
After attending finishing school and ministering to orphan children, Grace Chapman returns to her hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming to plan her wedding to Dr. Robert Walcott. Becoming the wife of the promising St. Louis doctor will grant her a level of propriety and respect she fears she lost two years earlier. However, when she goes to the aid of an injured woman she encounters the brusque but handsome new doctor of Cheyenne who sees her well-meaning help as little more than meddlesome.

After scraping his way out of the tenements of Denver and gritting his way through medical school, Dr. John Kittrick has relocated to Cheyenne to build his medical practice. All he wants is to apply the latest medical findings to help ailing folks and repay his hardworking, self-sacrificing ma with a life of leisure in her final years.

Sparks fly and feelings develop between Grace and John as they help the injured woman and her family of which a broken arm is the least of their troubles. When a danger arrives in Cheyenne that threatens the entire population, Grace and John are forced to confront not only their beliefs about the world, but their feelings for each other.

Grace's Purpose ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ written by Ruby Merritt

Our heroine Grace Chapman has return to her hometown of Cheyenne to be with her family and plan her wedding. Grace is engaged to a prominent doctor Robert Walcott from St. Louis. She plans to return to St. Louis after the wedding to make her home there.

However, while Grace is home she finds herself coming to the aid of the local doctor's John Kittrick's patients. As she observes him she see what a truly kind not judgmental human being he is. We learn of the hardships he was able to overcome as he did not have an easy time growing up.

Dr. Kittrick knows Grace's betroth and even speaking harshly about Grace to him. It is when Dr. Walcott return to St. Louis and Grace remains that Dr. Kittrick and she are thrown together in various situations. Kittrick sees for himself what a unselfish person she is and begins to find himself very attracted to her.

As this sweet, tender romance blossoms you find yourself rooting for them and cannot imagine Grace anywhere else or with anyone else but John. When they both declare their feelings for each other and Grace breaks her engagement she is met with resistance from her mother but soon she too sees them as a perfect fit.

Ms Merritt is quite the storyteller. Her characters leap off the pages and you just take them into your heart. She is very clever how she knits them into a perfect country blanket. This is a book that can be read by all ages. Hats off to Ms Merritt another beautiful accomplishment.

I think that Grace's Purpose is by far my favorite book by Ruby Merritt so far... Her Characters are more developed and some of the twists in this book and the unexpected happenings that I wasn't expecting caught me off guard and made me wonder what was going to happen next. In the beginning I didn't know how I was going to like her Heroine... or the Hero.... but she brought them into focus really quickly and I was off to the races shall we say.... This book is a fine read for me and i thoroughly enjoyed it... This writer touches on subjects that a lot of other writers shy away from,,, Rape, Abuse etc... and she really helps put things into perspective that there is truly life after such things .. That you shouldn't let it define who you are .. but use it to become a better you in spite of it..

This unforgettable story engaged my emotions on all fronts! I laughed, I cried, I cursed, and I sighed. Grace is a heroine that seems flighty and
fretful at first, but the many deep and delightful layers to her character and the unfolding of the romance between her and John gave me one of the greatest reading experiences ever.
