I received this book in exchange for an honest opinion and review.
This is the third book in the Stratham Dragons series. Book 1, Aris, was great and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Book 2, Ilias, le sigh was totally disappointing. This book is a combination of both. I love Zarin and Willow is an okay heroin. One of the issues that I had with this story is Willow. She, I understand that she is confused, is just so wishy-washy. She doesn't know what she wants and she feels as though everybody is pressuring her into choosing Zarin when everybody is giving her an out. I just feel as though Willow should have been more definite with her choices versus assuming that the choice she made is for everyone aside for her.
There were just multiple things thrown into this book even though this book was super short there were so many things happening. There was a witch, water nymphs, abusive husband, a pregnant dragon, a crazy drug addict who does not realize that she needs to calm the fuck down, and a son who just mysteriously comes out of nowhere. With everything that was happening within this book there was really not that much time for romance and for Willow and Zarin to get to know one another.
What's so much new things being thrown in the series I have so many questions that need to be answered. What is the witch doing in Stratham? What is the son's purpose? Was there an ever get rid of that crazy side of him? What happened to the other pure dragons that were hunting the half-breeds? I know there's a war coming, does that mean that all these new characters will be fighting in the war? Where is the abusive ex-husband?
Even though this book technically did not end in a cliffhanger there are so many questions that are left unanswered that it's so frustrating. I just really hope that Sarah J. Stone does not forget about all of the new questions that she threw into this series and addresses them in the next couple of books.
I chosen this story because of the narrator. I enjoyed listening to Mr. Brown's voices, so versatile for the various characters. - 4 stars
I think I should have started with book 1, it would have been an easier start and filled out the continuous background story, a personal preference I guess. It can be listen as a standalone though. I am glad that Willow got away from an abusive relationship and found Zarin, a dragon shifter who gifts her with her own dragon, also that both accepted Kai, an orphan sent to them by the Goddess to protect. The story is fast paced and many things are happening, the book is so short, I am thinking that will get to find out more in the next books. - 3 stars
I should have listened to my instincts and stopped at book one when I saw how badly put together the story was. But nope sill me wanted to give the author a chance in the hopes that she would get better. Did not happen. One day the Willow is nice to Zarin and then the next morning for no reason at all she is a total bitch to him. Ugh I just can't explain how bad it is. It's so sad thought because it had such potential to be a great series.
Not the best fantasy fiction series but each story does get a little better. The Stratham clan keeps growing as Zarin finds his mate in Willow and they gain a half breed water nymph as a son and with each addition their clan's power grows. The writing is a little stilted but is improving with each episode, this series has good potential I only hope it achieves it.
Zarin finds Willow by her running into him. But now she tries to make herself invisible to all, the man she is running from and the one she ran into. Many things and other entities show up.
Loved to catching up with the characters and see how they were going.... The book was a great addition to the series... But in my opinion the ending was to PG.. needed more... More drama more action.. going to read the next book...
Sarah J. Stone writes a great series of hot, sexy, steamy love story about finding your true mate. This was the third book I read that she had written & I can't wait to read more of her books.
Like the other stories, I liked the idea of dual dragons, and the family that they made. However, like the other stories, it needed more depth to the story and characters.
Enjoyed this read really good. Sarin the grump cold angry dragon finds his mate. Lol and a lot more. This is a good standalone no cliffhangers read of a good series
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The previous two books were okay and this book was a bit better. The story was more appealing than the others. The narrator did a good job.
Dragon shifters are among my favourites, and I enjoyed this tale of one finding his mate and saving a child who would become part of his family. (I voluntarily reviewed this free ebook)>
Another fabulous book from Sarah J. Stone you don't want to miss!! Finding your true mate after years of misery, becoming part of something you didn't even know existed. Love, family, friendship, destiny and paranormal creatures. Excitement for sure - can't wait til the next book.
In this self-contained story that's also part of a series, is Zarin's turn to find his mate. But it becomes more then just her to join with him and making the clan or tribe a bit larger. You have a woman that's running from her old life and an abusive ex. And you have Sarin that's still running from his own past to get past. Loved this story and the new twist mixed in. Well written and entertaining to read.
Loved Zarin and Willow's story !! It brought not only the dragons closer together, but brought out new and unusual paranormal creatures you don't often see in romance books !! I can't say mire without giving the whole story away, I'll just say I can't recommend this book more highly !! 4.5 's . I received a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.
I loved Ms. Stone's Exiled series, and Zarin (Stratham Dragons Book 3) is proving to be just as amazing. She has a way of bringing the characters to life, whether they're endearing or annoying. I loved how Zarin and Willow's first encounter was so brief but yet so intense. Zarin knew the chase was on! Willow didn't know what she had gotten herself into when she hit the town of Stratham! Good action and suspense in the plot as they rush to save a half human boy. Add in the mating attraction between Zarin and Willow and it's a riveting, explosive ride. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Zarin finds his mate! Willow is a young woman that has had a difficult life and is running from her past. Willow meets her mate by literally running into him. At first Willow has a difficult time accepting Zarin and his tribe but eventually she learns to love and be loved.
This was really well written and a fun and interesting story. The characters were superb.. the writing was amazing and overall it was a very good story and plot. i loved the issues in this story that they had to work agauinst and work with.. i loved how they found out who they are.. it was all wonderful and im glad i got to review it
The original book is decent, though could use more development. The whole thing has been a bit like a beginner writer would submit to a CW prof.
As for the bonus, which a whole series and is the majority of the pages of each book in the Stratham Series, wow (and not in a good way). The Udora story has good points, but the author had some major technical issues. One major point is she changed the name of a main character between books 1 and two. She also mixed up a major player's clan name between two books. To me, these things are not acceptable.
