Crazy Over You

Rate this book
My savior isn’t prince charming.
I’m not that lucky.
He’s my worst nightmare.
He’s my one-night stand from two years ago.
And he doesn’t remember me.

What happens on vacation doesn't always stay on vacation. Especially in a place like Aspen. I moved to the mountains for my dream vet job. I never expected to run into the man of my dreams. Again.
*
I never thought I'd see her again.
My Cinderella didn't leave me a shoe to find her.
Not that I'd need random footwear to recognize her.
Her kiss is something I'll never forget.

Work hard. Play hard. I'm paid to be a nice guy on the slopes, but what I do in my off time isn't always about making good choices. That's the fun of living in a ski town. I stay while the women come and go.

Crazy Over You is a standalone romantic comedy and the second book in the Love with Altitude series.

Sometimes you just need a romance that is low on the drama and angst and makes you laugh, giggle and sigh happily: that's exactly what I got from Crazy Over You.

"I’ve always had a thing for beards."

Daisy Prescott has taken the second-chance trope and put a fresh twist on it as neither the H or h think the other remembers their first tryst two years previously. And whilst it's what I would term a slower burning romance, the story is held together by fun, flirting, fabulous characters and a reacquaintance which builds momentum to a point which leaves you completely satisfied and with a smile on your face.

description

Mara is adorably awkward--the places her brain goes to at times is just hilarious as she has no filter--but she's also smart and honest. And Jesse was the perfect blend of confident, yet charming which leads to plenty of sexual tension between them. I can't deny the pacing slipped a little in the middle, but it didn't take long to pick back up and when they cross that line it's well worth the wait.

"We’ll never get another first time and I want to make sure she never forgets tonight."

I'm not what I would call a seasoned Daisy Prescott reader, I only discovered her late last year, but the fact this led to a bit of a one-click spree, I think, speaks for itself. And I'll certainly be going back and reading the first book in the Love with Altitude series, because with her easy, witty style, focusing on real, relatable and down to earth people, Daisy is an author whose writing works so well for me.

4.5 Crazy Fun Stars*****

An amazing one-night stand that even two years after it happened Mara can't still forget about. Mara's new job takes her into the snowy mountains, and straight into the arms of the sexy stranger that got away from her years ago.

Gorgeous snowy mountains, a couple of sweet dogs, and a fun, and sexy story, make Crazy Over You a cozy, weekend read that will entertain you to no end.

Mara and Jesse met two years ago while she was still a student, and Jesse going through some dark times in his life. The chemistry between them had been perfect but the timing, totally wrong.

Mara just move in town and is trying the slopes, while she suddenly gets a bad panic attack, and Jesse is the one who saves her. When they first met, two years ago, Mara was very drunk, but she remembers every beautiful feature of Jesse's body, and she also remembers what an amazing kisser he is. But does he remembers her?

Is not quite clear who remembers what, but even throughout the confusion their chemistry is still as explosive as always. Are these two crazy characters ready to indulge in the sweet sensations they cause together, or is their timing still off?

Is no secret that I adore reading a Daisy Prescott novel. She writes happy, smart, funny romances that are always memorable in my heart. This one was no different, and being a total animal lover, the dogs in this novel were the perfect compliment to an already wonderful story. I loved it!!!

Crazy Over You is the second book in the Love with Altitude series by Daisy Prescott and it can be read as a standalone.

Two years ago, Mara was having the best vacation of her life till her foot slipped on a wet spot and she lost her balance. But instead of things going wrong after that, she found herself in the hands of tall, dark, and handsome. She kissed him, tongue included, you know, to show him gratitude for not letting her fall... and because she was drunk.

Right person, wrong time.

The sparks between them were there but it wasn't their time. She was just there on vacation. And he was going through a dark time in his life.

Now, Mara Keiley is a modern day female Doctor Doolittle. She talks to the animals, but she doesn't expect them to talk her back. She's not that crazy, LOL. She decided to move to the mountains for her dream job. But what she never expected was to run into the man of her dreams, aka her prince charming, just this time he was her worst nightmare.

What happens in Aspen stays in Aspen, right? Well, not for Mara Keiley.

Having a panic attack on a ski slope wasn't embarrassing enough for Mara. Oh no! She had to be saved by her one-night stand from two years ago and on top of that, he doesn't remember her.

Jesse Hayes, at your service. Oh yes, yes yes, yes. Being nice on the slopes and rescuing people is part of his job description. 2 years ago, her Cinderella didn't leave him a shoe to find her. Not that he would need it after that kiss.

description

Is there no secret that I adore Daisy Prescott's witty writing style. Sure, we have had our little differences...ehem, Next To You, ehem...but that's in the past.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Crazy Over You. A total delight to read from start to end. It's one of those books where drama isn't needed to end up satisfied and with a smile on your face.

description

My love for Mara and Jesse is endless. She's my spirit animal and he's my kissing match. Usually, it's hard for me to get into slow-burn romances but this one had me feeling giddy, high as a kite, from page one. One reading isn't going to be enough to quench my addiction for these two. I'm already going through Mara & Jesse withdrawals.

And no content with that, Daisy Prescott goes and add dogs and Fred to the mix!!

I'm an animal lover, dogs, cats, a rooster, a goat.... I don't care. It always melts my heart. So adding them was the perfect compliment to an already delightful story.

description

Daisy Prescott writes characters I want to tackle and keep as my best friends, woven into adorably awkward, sexy, funny, and toe-curling tales of love. I can't wait for the next one!!

Meanwhile, Gigi & I are ready to pack our shit and move to Aspen to find our kissing match!!!!!!

YAS, YAS, YAS, YAS, YAS!!!!!

If you're looking for a romance that will make you sigh happily, laugh, and fall in love over and over again, Crazy Over You by Daisy Prescott is your book!

Crazy Over You is the story of Mara and Jesse. Two years ago, they met while Mara was on vacation and shared an unbelievable kiss. So unbelievable Mara is still thinking about it two years later, along with the fact she can’t really remember what happened that one drunken night. When she moves to the Aspen area for a job, she unexpectedly runs into her kissing soulmate and disastrous one night stand from two years ago, Jesse. There’s just one problem. They both think the other one doesn’t remember the night they first met. Hilarity ensues when they both try to get the other one to confess the truth about that night.

I was laughing out loud while reading this. Mara was hilarious. At some points I felt like I was reading about myself. I would say out loud, ‘oh my gosh, she’s me!’ We’re the same age, wear a similar size, both unmarried singles who moved to a new place where we knew no one. Granted she’s already settled in her career, and I’m definitely not, but I felt a sort of kinship with her. Mara is tired of living the same ‘ol boring life. Her move to Snowmass Village is the first step in what she hopes is an exciting new direction. Her life takes a definite turn toward not boring, when she runs into Jesse, her disastrous one night stand from two years ago.

Jesse is just… wonderful. He’s a local guy who works as part of the ski patrol team. He has an adorable dog, Fern, and he just stole my heart. He is pretty much the definition of a good guy. Nice, respectful, responsible. A lot of times those things can make someone boring. But Jesse is anything but boring. I loved how open he was with Mara. He totally wore his heart on his sleeve, and it was so refreshing. I’m not super keen on alpha-males, which I feel dominate the majority of romance novels. Jesse has confidence without arrogance. He’s assertive without being dominating. He doesn’t shy away from showing, and telling, Mara how he feels; whether it’s about his dog, his brothers, or Mara herself. He goes after what he wants in life, but doesn’t control others to get what he wants.
“I brought you here, because you’re important to me. I want you to know me. All of me. My history, my dreams.”
My only complaint, if it can be categorized as such, is that I wanted more. We have these fantastic characters, and I wanted to know more about them. We learn a little about Jesse’s brothers, but we don’t learn much about Mara’s family. I wanted to know more about how these characters came to be who they are today.

On a positive note, this book doesn’t have any of the over-the-top drama that new adult novels tend to have. No major miscommunications (with the exception of one thing, which isn’t really a miscommunication, more a misremembering) to tear them apart, causing agony for both characters. None of that nonsense.

This book was just what I needed. I’ve been in a bit of a book slump. Nothing has sounded good or whatever I did start, I just couldn’t get into. I can always count on a Daisy Prescott novel to bring me through a slump.

If you’re looking for a heartwarming, laugh out loud, drama free new adult novel that is a perfect weekend read, I highly recommend Crazy Over You. You’ll fall in love with Jesse, Mara, and the beautiful village of Snowmass.

I received an eARC from the author and Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

Ya'll, I have found a new favorite author. Daisy Prescott is amazeballs! I'm seriously going to have to go and get her other stuff that I haven't read and devour it. Her writing is smooth, her characters are relatable and lovable (even Logan...I'm hoping he finds his HEA), and her stories have you smiling (and sometimes crying).

Mara and Jesse met a few years before this story starts. A one night stand thing that Mara couldn't fully remember. Except for his kisses. She remembered those because they were outstanding and he was was her soulmate of kissing. When they meet again, it takes them both a little bit before they realize they know one another. This time, they're both sober and in better places in their lives.

Jesse had me swooning. Daisy's heroes do that often. He was sweet and a little cocky and he liked to tease. Mara? I swear to God, I think Daisy has spied on me because as crazy and unfiltered as Mara was, I laughed because I have actually thought and said some of the same exact things as her LOL I LOVED Mara.

There were several places I laughed out loud. There were several times I cried. I closed the book with a giant cheesy grin on my face knowing I'll reread this at some point.

All'inizio non avevo ben chiaro dove l'autrice volesse arrivare, fino a rivelarlo a poco a poco.

I am mad about Crazy Over You. Daisy Prescott has written a book full of feels and every single one is way beyond wonderful. She has once again managed to make me laugh until I sigh. There is this incredible balance between humor and tenderness and I couldn't help but smile with each turn of the page.

This is the ultimate feelgood kind of story that will fill your heart with utter joy. Mara Keiley and Jesse Hayes find themselves face to face again after an interesting night two years prior, and it's anyone's guess whether or not they will admit that to the other. With the gorgeous backdrop of Aspen as their home, they play a flirtatious kind of cat and mouse game and I loved every minute! I have a huge girl crush on Mara, the new Vet in town. I couldn't help but fall for her honesty and wicked sense of humor. It's no wonder Jesse regretted not getting her phone number when they first met. She is addictive, being the kind of woman we all want as a bestie. And her furry roommates in Tapper, Fred and especially George will have you giggling often.

And Jesse. Holy swoon. He is a sexy, bearded member of the Ski Patrol and what I wouldn't do to get rescued by him on the side of a mountain. He is so perfectly suited for Mara, knowing when to let her ramble incessantly, watching with adoration. In addition, the love he has for his faithful companion in Fern the wonder dog, made me fall for him just like Mara did. He exudes this quiet and almost restrained kind of masculinity like he doesn't know what he does to womankind yet is comfortable enough in his skin to know when to flirt mercilessly. Who could resist? Not this reader!

We get glimpses of the other characters we previously met in Next to You and I'm thrilled that the author has decided to continue this series. It is so smartly written and has the most endearing characters from Jesse and Mara, to even the man who owns a sled dog kennel. Even Landon, the man full of classless bravado was a necessary component despite my lack of affection for him.

Daisy Prescott knows how to craft a story that will not only win your heart but will have you begging for more. Her attention to detail continues to set her books apart from so many and you will feel as if you are right there in Aspen, hearing the crunch of snow under your feet while staring up at an endless blue sky.

Crazy Over You is a book NOT to be missed. It is pure delight from start to finish.

A huge 5 stars!

So after reading two books in this series I can say with no doubt that I will be reading the entire series.
I love the setting.
There are mountains, there is lots of snow, there is a winter romance and hot guys.. do I need to say more?

Add to all ove the above: Prescott's wonderful writing, her wit and the slow(ish) real romance- and you got me all smitten. Utterly and totally smitten.

The romance is cute and swoony and has a nice sizzle to it. The storyline is interesting. There are no unnecessary dramas, just enough angst and insecurities to add a little drama. Otherwise this is straightforward and feels utterly real.

The character building,as always with Prescott, shines above it all for me. Definitely character driven for me.
I totally adore Jesse. Sweet, honest, honorable. And yet so straight-forward it refreshing. At first however I wasn't a huge fan of his POV. I swear it got better though, honestly I'm not sure if it just grew on me or if there was really an improvement. It's interesting to see behind the hot dude mask and discover more about him. Though I feel there are loads of things I still don't know about him.
Despite all that I'm totally fangirling.
There are some interesting moments written from Jesse's POV and he isn't fairing as well because there is Mara POV. Mara on the other hand is brilliantly written. I love her POV, it's super witty, it's quirky and unique. I feel like I know her, and I would totally be friends with her in RL.
The support cast is interesting. There is a nice group of girls coming together.. I am wondering if we going to get stories for the clique? Also which male specimen will we admire next?
Then there is Landon. And I don't know where to cast him. Because let's face it he is an ass, but that's all we get. He seems just the resident asshat, not reason nor rhyme. I mean he is apparently gorgeous and... an ass. Even though he featured in both books little else is known. Wondering if he will just stay the "villain"or if we get some insight in future books.

A must read for fans of the author. Though it is a series it works as a standalone, so if you never read a Prescott book, it would be a good one to start with.

Crazy over You is the kind of book with magnificent scenery places, amazing and so fun characters, awkward moments and a bit of crazy heroine, a broody, sweet and so sexy hero, that can make you laugh so hard, swoon and sigh just like that, to make you want to try new things and let the unexpected surprise you.

Reading Daisy Prescott’s books is always to me, a breath of fresh air. Jesse and Mara had history, the ones involving drunk memories, and some awkward moments. What if on one “wild” night you met someone with no chance to meet again and then in the most unexpected way, the past and the present collide? I say yes!

Mara is just a woman after my own heart. She is so funny, a bit weird with a wild imagination and her inner ramblings … so priceless! After one amazing one night stand two years ago, she couldn’t find the right guy, living with her two broody cats and her lovely dog. As a vet in a ski town, she was dedicated to her work but needed some fun and trying new things .. but she wasn’t successful either.

Jesse … I really liked him a lot! A guy with a heart of gold, more comfortable at home than partying, unless a few years ago. Tired about random hookups, he was enjoying the quietness and peacefulness of his home. He had this charisma that attracted lots of women of course, but there was something very different and refreshing about this character. Honest, loyal and really persistent, tender and caring but mostly not afraid to show his vulnerable side.

The way the author managed to pull these two together was well done and so entertaining. From the moment these two met again, I was so eager to see each other’s POV, each side of this specific and so intense moment. The recollection from this night and how things were evolving as the story unfold were just well-delivered. You’ll fall in love as the same time they did and that was just magical. It goes without saying that I loved the sexy parts as well!

I loved Lee in Next to You but Jesse ... le freaking sigh, swoon ... I think I have a crush. Definitely crazy over him for sure! Next book please?

Sweet! You can always count on Daisy Prescott to deliver a cute, feel good, sweet romance. Crazy over you started out with Jesse rescuing Mara off the mountain. Mara was stuck in a very compromising position and handsome Jesse escorted her to safety. Mara thought Jesse looked familiar and she was right – Jesse was her one-night-stand / one drunken night out with a friend, or so she thought. Since their encounter, both of their lives has changed. Jesse always thought Mara was the one that got away. Now, Jesse is a ski patroller and Mara just settled on a farm working as a veterinarian. What will happen when Jesse finds out their past?

Mara and Jesse are easy characters to love. Mara is feisty, smart, beautiful and apparently owns a kiss that is impossible to forget. Jesse is adorable. He is a hot ski patroller spending his time on the mountain taking care of people and he LOVES his dog. That’s a must I adore Mara and Jesse’s love story. Everything about them is sweet, sexy, and flirty. Watching these two fall in love just makes me want to curl up in my bed with dessert and tea and feel all swoony inside. This is a light-hearted read with just a touch of drama, a whole lot of passion, humor and romance. Yippee!!!

Delightful and Witty Read with a Cozy Setting and Thoughtful Character Development

Quite simply, I think Crazy Over You is Daisy Prescott’s best book yet. I adored this charming, fun and tender romance. Ms. Prescott was able to find right balance between fun and serious in this story – there are some very tender moments in this book that hit me right in the heart, and yet I laughed so much while reading Mara and Jesse’s story too. It engrossed me so much that I didn’t want to put down at night to go to sleep. I devoured it!

Timing is a big theme through the book – just as it is in life. Mara is a veterinarian who just moved to Aspen and Jesse and his dog, Fern, both work as ski patrol. The two meet in an interesting way while Mara is skiing, but Mara realizes that this isn’t the first time they have met. They crossed paths two years ago when she was visiting Aspen on a trip. Both of these characters first meet at the wrong time when they were on the cusp of growing up, and now they are two people who are settling down in their life with their pets and are ready for something more.

As in all of Ms. Prescott’s books, the characters and the setting are the gems of this romance. No one else writes locales in books better than this author in my opinion. I love how she describes settings - I can close my eyes and be transformed there. And isn't that why most of us read? To be whisked away to an exotic location with characters who are relatable and could be our friends? I could feel the cold temperature on my cheeks and the snow crunching beneath my feet and see the Rocky Mountains through Jesse’s bedroom window.

The character development is well done as well. Written in dual POV, the reader has a chance to experience how the characters feel, and gain insight into their life histories. Ms. Prescott specializes in writing average, ordinary characters who I want to hang out and have a beer with. I can relate to them. Mara is quirky and delightful with sassy wit and Jesse is a bit of a hermit who cooks some amazing TexMex. He loves his dog, his job and has a quiet sense of honor and respect for those around him.

Additionally, I loved how the author made both characters dog lovers and how important their dogs were to them. They are written well into the story, not as props but as a way these two characters relate to each other. My favorite secondary relationship in the book was Jesse's relationship with his dog, Fern.

Also, the chemistry between these two is palpable! The author creates excellent sexual tension with humor and teasing dialogue. I loved how these two verbally sparred with one another

Daisy's books are like warm blankets, hot tea and a cozy fire on a cold, snowy day. They are refreshing, fun and charming with a dose of wit. I adored this one. It's easily become a new favorite. I highly recommend Crazy Over You for when you just want to smile and get lost in a story with everyday characters who are embarking on a special journey of love, commitment and family – definitely a 5 star read.

You can find more of my reviews at Forever 17 Books.

This is my first book by Daisy Prescott but it definitely won’t be the last! Though Crazy Over You is the second book in the Love with Altitude series, it reads completely as a standalone. But I now have every intention of going back and reading the first book as well!

We are introduced to Mara, a quirky veterinarian, as she finds herself in a precarious situation on the slopes in her new town. Feeling some major embarrassment but still needing help, rescue comes from ski patrol in the form of Jesse, a man she may or may not have had a one night stand with two years ago on vacation. But does he remember her?

The whole initial introduction (or re-introduction) was pretty hilarious. In fact, I found Mara to be a complete delight from start to finish. She had an amazing inner dialogue and made me laugh and smile with every page. Jesse was right there with her with his sly smiles and swoony words. They had some much chemistry together.

“Your virtue is safe with me.”
“Sounds like something the wolf would say to Red Riding Hood right before he lures her into the woods.”
His deep laugh echoes close behind me. “Woof.”
My laughter dies in my chest when I see the glint of lust in his eyes.
“My what full lips you have,” I say, softly.
He stalks closer to me. “The better to kiss you with.”

We do get a few flashback chapters to two years ago and those were pretty great as well. I’m not always a fan of flashbacks but they worked perfectly here. The attraction between these two was undeniable and the plot really focuses on them coming together. There are a few small instances for the potential of drama but they fizzle quickly. This is definitely a fluffy type romance. A very small part of me wishes there could have been just a touch more conflict to kick it up to a five-star read, but that is only the very small part of me that thirsts for angst. I absolutely loved this read and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a fun, light romance full of laughter and heart.

“I’m crazy,” I tell him. “You should be warned.”
He leans across the table and kisses me. “It’s okay, because I’m crazy over you.”

I can't remember the last time I devoured a book in one sitting, but I couldn't put Crazy Over You down. Thank you, Daisy Prescott, for Jesse and Mara's story.

I have been in a reading slump for the last 4 month. Every book I start, I end up shelving... Nothing was cutting it for me. Crazy Over You was exactly the kind of story I needed to read. The writing is witty and endearing, and the characters are fun and loveable. Every thing about this story had me wanting more. I can't forget to mention that this book is chock-full of sexual tension, the kind that had butterflies fluttering around my tummy... These are my favourite kind of stories to read.

Jill Shalvis has been one of my go to authors for years because her books are fun and sexy and now Daisy Prescott has now been added to my go-to list. I can't wait for more books from the Love with Altitude series.

If you are looking for a light read full of witty characters, a story to make your pulse race and fill your heart - look no further! Crazy Over You is definitely a book you need to read.

4.5 STARS!!!

A palate cleanser. Charming, with chemistry that’s au naturel, relatable and palpable, so sweet you want to devour it. Crazy Over You put a big smile on my face that I know for sure I cannot easily erase. We’ve established that I am a sucker for uncomplicated but genuine love stories. Beyond stories that are heavy on twists, I think I totally crave those that give off subtle angst, but with feels to die for – yep you’re hearing me right, this book absolutely delivered!

I fell madly deeply in love with Jesse and Mara. Dr. Mara Keiley was an unforgettable woman with imagination that goes to unchartered crazy places and inner monologues that will crack you up. She’s bold too and I’d laugh at her pretty face when she’d be trying to be sexy. She was ADORABLE! Jesse our hero is a gentleman but with a pleasant arrogance. And what I truly can’t get over with was how would tease Mara. I became mildly obsessed with the man to the point that in between doing my usual morning rituals I’d think about him. He’s smart and swoony but not over the top. I loved their contagious, easy friendship and lingering adoration for each other.

Crazy Over You was amply paced for a fairly short novel. Its love scenes were slow and sweet with hints of humor but I guarantee you they were toe curling! And the ending was simply beautiful, nothing too elaborate. In short, Daisy Prescott made sure that every element, all aspects were seamlessly tied up. I felt like I was reading a new adult rather than an adult romance sometimes. Nevertheless, it was addicting and I couldn’t put my heart to rest. I wanted to grab my kindle and just declare to hell with adulting. I could get forsaken in a mountain of snow with our MCs and I wouldn’t complain.

This story reminded me of holidays and cocoas. Of kisses, first love and second chances. Daisy Prescott got a new best friend in me and she doesn’t know it. I can’t wait to read the rest of this delightful series. And if you’re in a book funk? All seems too sluggish for you? Then this is one of your best bet!

I was a little unsure when I asked for an ARC of Crazy Over You by Daisy Prescott. I had never read any of her books but I decided this weekend was all about the authors I have never read before. I absolutely struck gold! I really loved the cover and blurb, so why not give it a shot? I was 100% loving this story!

Crazy Over You is a feel-good story that made me happy. Mara and Jesse hit it off two years ago, in a drunken night of fun. Mara was in a drunken stupor and Jesse found himself having the time of his life with her, despite the issues he was going through at the time. After the night ended, Jesse left without more than a simple note to Mara and was never seen again. Did they have sex? Was it so bad that she just didn’t remember? Mara chalked her lack of memories to a lack of a memorable night with Jesse.

Two years later, in Aspen, Mara is now the new veterinarian in town and has had an anxiety attack on a ski slope. Can you guess who’s going to come to her rescue? Jesse is a sexy bearded man who works for the ski patrol and is absolutely just as stunning as he was two years ago. Problem is, Mara doesn’t know if she should be happy he has no idea who she is or should she be mad she was so forgettable? Little does Mara know that Jesse knows exactly who she is and has a plan to make her remember him also.

“My savior isn’t prince charming. No, I’m not that lucky. He’s my worst nightmare. He’s my one night stand from two years ago. And he doesn’t remember me.”

Mara and Jesse are such an easy hero/heroine to love. They fit together seamlessly and an were so very enjoyable to read. I loved all of the secondary characters as well, and will be going back to read the first book in this series. There was no overly intense drama which made this book absolutely perfect for my weekend binge reading session! I am in total awe of these two characters and this will definitely be a re-read for me, many times over!

“Life’s never long enough if you love someone.”

Crazy Over You is my first book by Author Daisy Prescott and I am absolutely in love! This story had all the feels with very little drama and some laughs thrown in for good measure. This book has such a good balance of everything I was looking for, it was a good way to start my weekend! Ms. Prescott, you have a new fan

RECENSIONE QUI: https://thereadingslove.blogspot.com/...

Daisy Prescott is becoming one of my favorite rom-com authors. Crazy Over You, is her latest and now a favorite on my book shelf. The premise is the long forgotten one night stand coming back to haunt(possess?). Mara, is the new veterinarian in town who humorously finds herself in the need of assistance from Jesse, a ski patrol rescuer.

The writing is sharp and engaging. The characters are just what you like in a rom-com. Mara is funny and likeable and Jesse has some good moments too. Mara's internal dialogue has that fun sarcastic wit that I enjoy. This is a quick read but I purposefully slowed my reading down because I didn't want it to end. Well recommended!

This was an ARC provided to me by the author which I happily exchange for an honest review.

I won an ARC of this book in a contest, and I was thrilled to have it. I love Daisy Prescott's books, and this series has been so much fun so far. Both books have been sweet and sexy, very funny with a few tears thrown in.
Jesse is terrific hero material. As Mara puts it, "Tall, dark, and rugged man skies down the mountain with a dog on his shoulders." Yeah, I'm swooning with her. He is respectful of Mara, too. I don't like jerky guys.
Mara is my favorite part of the book, though. I do love a smart but slighty awkward heroine. Her sense of humor is perfect, and she gets the best lines of the book. Also, her pets are hilarious.
To sum up, this was exactly my kind of book: well-developed characters having fun while falling in love. Definitely worthy of rereading in the future.

Mara and Jesse were fun characters tonread about, they had so much chemistry, and I loved all light hearted-ness in the book, “like if you show me yours, I have to show you mine? Haven’t we been doing that. Twice last night and once this morning in the shower.” I loved this book, the characters were just so lovable.

Happiness is reading a Daisy Prescott book. Seriously. From cover to epilogue, she weaves her stories with wonderful characters, clever dialogue, sly humor and Romance. Oh, the Romance. Crazy Over You has all those things and more. This book is pure magic and had me laughing (a lot), tearing up and just downright swooning.

Mara Keiley and Jesse Hayes’ connection is serendipitous and way better than anything produced by Hollywood. Their chemistry was off the charts in every way – from the how’s and why’s of the way the met and their every encounter after, I was under their spell. And banter? Oh, lord – funny to swoony to sexy – I could not get enough.

Mara Keiley is us. She is the woman brave enough to pursue her dreams and move somewhere that she doesn’t know anyone, but pushes forward. I loved this woman, the words that came out of her mouth and in her head made me laugh, made me think and most of all, made want to find her and just be her friend.

From Daisy’s mind have sprouted some of my very favorite BBF’s and I can happily report that Jesse Hayes has been added to that list. This man’s amazing heart has been ravaged, but he hasn’t lost sight or hope that it will be healed. In the meantime, he lives his life, does his job and adores his dog. But it’s seeing Mara through his eyes that will make you love this man all the more – He not only sees her, but appreciates every facet of this gift of woman and what she brings to not only his life, but his community. Sigh.

Daisy's attention to detail is amazing and as always puts you in the shoes of her characters, to where you feel as though you are actually skiing a black diamond trail or spaying or neutering a cat (okay, maybe not that far), but she also paints an amazing picture of the Roaring Fork River Valley that goes beyond the glam life we see in the pixels and pages of the celeb-centric sites and publications. Daisy allows us to appreciate the natural beauty of this region and experience it through the eyes of those who live it and love it every day. This makes this makes Crazy Over You all the more enchanting.

Daisy Prescott's books always make me happy. But Crazy Over You? It sent me over the moon. This is a book you absolutely need in your life! Happy reading!

‘Jesse is a giver.’ ~Mara

★¸¸.•*¨*•★ Minor spoilers alert★•*¨*•.¸¸★

Writing style:
Dual POVs

Cover design: I like the style and the fact that it makes me think of my past annual trip to ski each year during my 8.5 years of living as a non-native transplant in Denver, CO.

Format owned:Kindle e-book

My tags for this rom-com novel are…
HEA / Whimsical / Sexy / Easy-to-read / Entertaining / Original / Page-turner / Romantic / Funny

One of my favorite early scenes was Mara and Jesse’s true first meet-cute outside the bar and their silly formal introduction after they’d already indulged in a mini public make-out session:

“I tried to introduce myself and you stared at me like you were starving and I was a cheeseburger. ”
“Mmm, cheeseburger. ” She licks her lips and I feel my dick get hard.
“Are you picturing me as food?”
“No, that would be weird.” She extends her hand. “I’m Mara.
“Jesse.”
😉😊

In sum, I liked the sense of adventure Mara had as she started her new career as a veterinarian in her new resort town home. The mystery surrounding what really happened two years prior between her and Jesse was solved a little at a time with revealing flashbacks. I happily cheered them on as they cleared that up and got down to really getting to know each other. Jesse and Fern, his faithful fury ski patrol partner, were irresistible and a perfect match for her.

Well, I gave it up at 80%. I know .. why didn't you just finish it? It bored me to tears and just couldn't pull it out. It didn't engage me and nothing clicked for me. I kept thinking it would get better, but it really didn't. Finally, I realized that it just wasn't going to get better and I gave it up.

It may be better for you. I hope so anyway.

Happy Reading!

Spent my afternoon blissfully tagging along with Jesse and Mara as they skied and tangoed around one another. Daisy Prescott has such an ability to write real characters--ones you'd love to hang out with, who have quirks, feel ALL the feelings, and remind you that second chances can end up in happily ever afters.

Salve lettrici,
Buona lettura!

There are just some books that come to you at the exact right time, when you need them most. Crazy Over You by Daisy Prescott was one of those books. I was coming off a darker read and needed something to lift my spirits and take me away. And away I went to the resort town of Aspen. One of my favorite things about reading is all the places I get to travel to without spending all that money. Daisy did a wonderful job setting up this town, the environment, that I felt like I was right there. On the slopes, in the lodges, with the tourists and with the townies. It was really easy to get lost in this story, and fall for these people. This was probably my favorite book of hers since Confessions of a Reformed Tomcat. I am so happy this is a series, and I'll get to visit again soon!
