I like Barbados rum, old, fast motorcycles, playing guitar and books by authors like Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Alex Berenson, Craig Johnson and Lee Child. I write action/adventure thrillers. WHITE JADE is the first in a series featuring the PROJECT, a small, elite counter-terrorism unit. There are currently 23 books in the series.

Now here is a fast paced story with a hint of the real world; “High Alert” offers us a not so funny caricature of Pres. Trump’s “Little Rocket Man.” Alex Lukeman’s story reveals the exalted lunatic leader of North Korea who wants to deploy nuclear weapons on the world. The series centers on a covert intelligence unit called the PROJECT, which answers directly to the President. “High Alert” is another non-stop action, suspense filled, twist around every corner book by Alex Lukeman. I greatly enjoy his story lines and especially his characters, a group of Characters about whom the reader grows to actually care.

The story opens with an American missile submarine sunk of the coast of North Korea in the Sea of Japan; it is the opening move in a madman's plan to plunge the world into war. A day later the Chinese ambassador to Washington is assassinated driving to the White House. Meanwhile, the unstable leader of North Korea prepares to attack America with a terrible weapon. Even worse, the U.S. has a leak, a General feeding information to an American billionaire, whose company builds high tech military equipment.

“High Alert,” the fourteenth in the series, is another exciting book, and it is very apt at the moment as it focuses on North Korea and their drive to develop a nuclear bomb. "High Alert" grabs the reader from the beginning and the velocity of excitement does not slow. Although the book can stand alone, I strongly suggest that you begin with the first book so you can appreciate the character development and continuity even more. So why not just suspend reality for a while, relax, read, and enjoy the ride. That is far more enjoyable thing to do then sort socks. I really enjoy this series and recommend it to you.

High Alert by Alex Lukeman from BooksGoSocial publishing holds your attention from the first page.
This fact paced exciting thriller is like reading a page from today's news. The story line is excellent, A nutjob North Korean leader ready to drop a nuclear bomb with a few exciting twists. It is well written and has good, highly likeable, interesting, and believable characters. What else can you ask for? It has left me wanting more and interested in reading the other books in the Project Series, and there are currently 17 books in the series. I would strongly recommend this book to fans of Action Adventure books, you won't be disappointed.
Thank you NetGalley, Alex Lukeman and BooksGoSocial publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another well written and well researched book in the series. Lots of twists and turns, and international intrique. Personal developments too, between Nick and Serena, as well as with their Russian counterparts. A black opps team working with the equivalent of Russian marines and dealing with the secret services of both China and North Korea.

Several points follow on from previous books so it follows in the series nicely, and is by far one of the most enjoyable to read. So much so I wished the book was longer. It makes this series a pleasure.

Action-packed, suspenseful, and exciting thriller!

Who wants World War III? An insane man wants it and is determined to start another world war. He is dying, and he wants his legacy to be the end of the world. The Project team is assigned to find out who and why the person is trying to start another World War. Alex Lukeman brilliantly takes the reader through many obstacles and surprises along the way. Will they find out who is behind all the difficulties? Read this compelling book and find out! Happy reading! 😊

This was another good book in this series and is very apt at the moment as it focused on North Korea and their drive to get hold of a nuclear bomb. As usual the Project came to the rescue and was another fun read, even given the serious nature of the subject. Some important developments in this book both personally and professionally as one person joined the team and another left. If you haven't tried this series I would strongly encourage you to.

This is another good book by this author. The "Project" team gets called in to help stop North Korea from starting a Nuclear war. This is being led by a deranged person out of the Projects past. Selena is reunited with her half sister to solve the problem. I did enjoy this book.

Audible Audiobook: shallow storyline, poorly developed characters, narration that was difficult to listen to; for instance the AI computer sounded like robot from “Lost In Space”. Audiobook “did not compute” for me.

High Alert. Alex lukeman

To say this is a nuclear powered high energy action thriller is an understatement of massive proportions!! The exalted lunatic leader of North Korea wants to deploy nuclear weapons on the world. The U.S. has a leak, a General feeding information to an American billionaire, whose company builds high tech military equipment. He wants to nuke Russia. Oh and did I mention the Chinese? This is a thriller of epic proportions!!

Timely

Another solid entry in the Project series. North
Korea is a timely antagonist. If only we could
be certain that reality would follow fiction. Great
Series!

Ok read

It’s pretty basic, pretty unbelievable and pretty predictable. I like the characters but it’s just too simple. Ok I guess

The team is called in to go into unknown territories, and hunt for a madman who could destroy everything. Fast action to the last page. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

When a madman plans to sends to United States into a nuclear war by sinking one of its subs and laying blame on another country it is The Project that sees through it, and is tasked with going after the real madman and stopping him before he causes other countries to launch their nukes, but will Nick and the team make it in time?

This is another non stop action, suspense filled, twist around every corner book by Alex Lukeman. I love his story lines and the characters, especially as they have become friends, and I fell instantly in love with the newest member of the team, Freddy, he is awesome. If you are lucky enough to get the hear the audiobooks of these wonderful books than you are in for a real treat with voice actor Jack de Golia lending his voice to the many characters and making each and everyone different, individual, and with their own little swagger to them as well, it is a production not to be missed.

Book: High Alert Book #14
Series: The Project Series
Author: Alex Lukeman
Publisher: Alex Lukeman
Genre: Political Suspense
Release: March 26,2017
Rated: Mature
Length: Pages

Alex Lukeman at his best, brings us Book #14 of The Project Series. This contemporary Black ops group working for the President of the United States has been sent around the world tenfold saving the world from itself.

The few in this team have grown to be our family, Elizabeth Harker at the helm Stephanie at the key board at one of the most mind blowing computer systems, Selena being drawn in through wealth and schooling being strong in languages and deciphering ancient documents. The other three last but not least are the retired military, Ronnie, Lamont and their leader Nick.

Mr. Lukeman writes stories in the here and now, topics like this one so relevant in today’s news and world I shudder as I read.

China, North Korea, Russia and America are the hot buttons for this story. Can it get any more exciting? I have sworn allegiance to this series from Book #1 and will follow you forever Mr Lukeman, unless one of these idiots becomes as real as you write and we are all doomed…

As always you make my palms sweat and my heart race….Great read

New character : Freddie

I enjoyed the addition of Freddie to the team. Once again, they solved an impossible problem with complex angles. We can only hope that the real world powers can actually do some similar cooperating to save the world from disaster.

Another great Project book.

Elizabeth is still recovering in the hospital so Nick is in charge.
This time a U.S. sub is sunk in the Sea of Japan with our own technology.

Brings to light the tension between North Korea, China, and the U.S. Fast paced.

Changes are going left and right to the Project. It will be interesting to see where it all leads.

Another great book about the Project. Nick is still temporarily in charge but Elizabeth has woke up but not ready to be back to work. Someone is trying to start the third world war. Can Nicvk and the team figure out what is happening and who is behind it. North Korea seems to be the catalyst for starting the war but none of the big powers are wanting this to happen. Can they work together? Many things going on and need to be brought together.

Too Near to Reality

This 14th in the Project series is too close to reality for comfort. Technology has advanced far enough that in the hands of mad men, all could be lost. Also, the Project team is aging and battle scarred. How long will they be able to stand between us and so many enemies? Can they defuse the conflicts once again? See for yourself.
