My honest opinion about Ghost by Jason Reynolds is that it is very detailed and it is filled with a profoundly inspiring message. Jason is an outstanding author who knows how to grab the reader and keep them interested throughout the whole story. Throughout my school years, I have had trouble picking up a book and committing to reading it. I struggle with reading because it’s hard for me to focus on whatever the subject is, and sometimes I just can’t relate to the characters in the story. However, as soon as I started to read this book, I instantly fell in love with the story, and it was a total page turner for me. The main character is so authentic, and I could really relate to him because it felt like I was having a genuine conversation with him. I also really appreciated the bond Ghost and his coach shared throughout the book. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to be motivated throughout life. In my opinion, I would rate this book 9/10 not only because of how strong the message is, but also because of the precise vocabulary used throughout the text. Every word felt powerful and encouraging, and inspired me to be more confident in reading and in my very own life.

I think this book because it has a lot of diversity. Also i like how it can relate to someone because they could of ran track in middle school and could have past life problems.

I fell in love with this series and it started here. I cried. I laughed out loud (literally). I didn't want it to end.

Ghost
The average American teenager doesn't realize the power of reading diverse books, until they experience them. Ghost by Jason Reynolds is the story of a young african american teenager living in a low poverty arrangement, who has a love for basketball but the natural talent for running. At a young age he discovers his talent for speed but trying to maneuver around getting in trouble and staying on the track to success. An engaging book who many can relate to such as Ghost is hard to find, yet it does a very good job to portray a true story. More importantly I recommend this book because it's a book many kids can relate to, and they can learn from this story.
More importantly this book presents a story that examines the opportunity some are able to acquire, and the opportunities some cannot get. Teenagers can relate to this story because many suffer from not having the favorable circumstances as other do. This story shows the kids who do not have the resources others possess, and yet find a way to thrive, when most do not have the confidence to try. This book is a window into the lives of so many. The lives of kids who have struggled to make a name for themselves; to be able to stay on the track to success. Ghost is a very good read for everyone. Many can relate to the story and the characters which is why it is such a engaging book.
