I throughly enjoyed this book, it had short chapters and is just an easy and pleasant read. The only criticisms I have is that some of the characters manner of speech and internal thought was rather similar especially Owen, Elsa and Kaia. And the other is that I would’ve loved if when Elsa faced the king she showed more than just anger but some remaining love for him just as he did for her, I think it would have helped add depth to the situation and the complex feelings. Same should go for Kaia as her father was thrown from a window never to be seen again.
Overall I really liked this book and would totally recommend it, if you’re looking for a chill and fun read.
Also I’m calling it now, the azure stone has healing properties and the king isn’t actually dead.
