The Vault #2

Union of Sin

Rate this book
He’ll do anything to protect her. Even if it means letting her go.

Tate Jackson made a big mistake. No, a monumental one. He picked the wrong place to introduce his wife, Cassie, to the alluring lifestyle they’d fantasized about.

Instinct told him to get her out of the poor excuse for an adult club—but he didn’t. And she was assaulted because of his carelessness. He’ll do anything to protect her from another traumatic experience, even if it means making the agonizing choice to convince his wife he no longer loves her.

Cassie’s not buying it. In fact, Tate is the last person she blames for that horrific night. She’s willing to give him the space he thinks he needs to get his head straight, but when divorce papers arrive, she realizes she’s out of time.

She has twenty-eight days to figure out why Tate is ruining a perfect marriage. Twenty-eight days to figure out what he’s hiding. But when she learns the truth, she has to decide if her heart can take the strain of piecing their love back together.

Product Warnings: Dirty tactics, dirtier sex, ropes, masks, guilty consciences, and love stretched so far, no one escapes unchanged. Not even you, dear reader.

Please note: This book was previously released by Samhain Publishing. This new edition contains a few slight tweaks as well as a new setting for the series.

Hot love scenes, intense romance, good story...okay, I really enjoyed this book! The overall tempo of the story was extremely fast paced. The emotional bond between the characters was strong and long lasting. I read through it a little faster than I thought I would. Actually, I devoured it in one sitting and I wanted more!!

The chemistry between T.J.and Cassie was exciting and electrifying. The romance in this book was definitely one of my favorites, but I also really liked the character development. T.J. and Cassie went through quite a bit in this book, and they came out of it even better. And the ending was perfect.

T.J. and Cassie have been married and very much in love with each other. Sweet Cassie gets to know and expresses her kinky side of sex by exploring more intense sexual acts with her more sexually mature husband. T.J. is dying to explore sexual pleasure to the fullest with her, and only with her, without sharing.

 photo cGRTFlA_zpsec3m7oyl.gif

An unfortunate incident on their first visit at an underground sex club will make him pull away using it as a protective mechanism that eventually causes the downfall of their marriage within a few months.

Although T.J. loves his wife, he believes that asking her for a divorce is the only way to protect her from him because he proved incapable to protect her as he should and wanted on the occasion of that dangerous incident. He craves her and loves her with all his heart but he keeps her in the dark about his true feelings and the reasons behind those divorce papers. Until the finalization of their divorce within thirty days, they both live on the brink of emotional snowballing. They are deeply affected and their relationship becomes bitter, although they still love each other. Cassie, however, isn't going to give up so easily. She wants to win her husband back and is willing to do everything in her power to save her marriage from falling apart.

Emotional turbulence arises when outcomes do not align with our intentions—when our experiences do not fulfill our expectations. T.J. and Cassie will endure pain, sadness, fear and distress but in the end it is the expectation of healing and pleasure that will drive all of their desperate actions and choices. All emotions derive from needs and these two will realize it when pain from staying apart becomes unbearable. T.J. is so incredibly sexy that he burns up the pages!! Five BIG stars!!

I was hoping that this book would be better than the previous book in the series, but I was sadly mistaken, as this story had even more issues than that previous story!

Tate/T.J. is a complete jerk! He thinks he knows best, so he acts in a way to "spare" his wife from feeling guilty. His method of doing so? A divorce, with no real explanation to her as to the reason why. It was as if he thought Cassie was a sexually submissive slave, instead of a partner in their marriage, though it is never actually labeled as such. I couldn't believe that he thought her so weak that she couldn't handle the truth, and yet his actions caused her transformation into a more dominant woman, one who goes after what she wants, which was him. His actions were totally unbelievable, and his beliefs unrealistic.

Cassie's not without her own problems, though. I found it hard to believe that she'd want to be that taken care of and not want to do for herself in the long run. I also couldn't believe that she'd insist on not reporting the incident at the first sex club, even if it meant opening their relationship up to public scrutiny. However, I did like seeing her grow as a woman as the month wore on and she tried to win Tate back.

This book also gave us more insight into the club as well as Leo and Shay's relationship from the previous book in the series, which I did enjoy reading. It was good to see Shay settling down a bit and growing into her relationship with Leo. Brute was also in this book, and I think he is the best of the three owners of the club. I am eager to read his story!

I saw a TikTok about a particular scene in this book that intrigued me enough to pick it up, as it was free on KU. But it got an instant 1 star rating from me as soon as the reason for him wanting a divorce was revealed because it was stupid and made 0 sense at all. 'I don't want to hurt my wife by telling her something, so I'll break her heart instead by leaving her.' Like, what?!? The reasoning was just so stupid.

4.5 STARS

I read A Shot of Sin just recently, and I fell in love with the world and the characters that Eden Summers had created. It’s a sizzling world, with strong male leads, who find love with their soul mates. Union of Sin is T.J.’s story, the broody part-owner in the business, who is separated from his wife Cassie.

Seeing T.J. in the beginning, I could see that he still loved Cassie, but was determined to remove himself from her life. He believes that she can do better than him and wants her to move on. But I soon saw that Cassie still burned for him, even though he had left their bed, their home and her life. After Cassie decides to make a visit to Vault of Sin, she is more determined than ever to win him back, with the help of one very cunning, Shay!

Cassie was the perfect match for Tate. I saw how easy their relationship was in the few flashbacks that I got, and also in the way that they reacted to each other when they were together. T.J. had secrets that he was hiding from Cassie that he believes will hurt her too much.

Union of Sin was a great sequel in the series. I liked seeing deeper into all of the characters and how close the guys are. They are willing to do anything to protect each other, even confront the woman that may break their friends’ heart. I liked going back to Vault of Sin… it links all the guys together, with the girls that they love! I’m looking forward to Brute’s story, I tell ya!

Eden Summers always brings so much heart and emotion to her stories. She helps you to feel what the characters feel. She takes you on an emotional journey of a man and a woman going through the process of divorce. It's a hard subject, especially when the couple are still in love with each other. One horrible event in the past manifested into so much more. Now, the love they share is threatened - not by an affair - but by someone getting stuck in their own head and making something more than it had to be. Have the tissues at the ready with this one because this story of love, hope, and perseverance will absolutely reach your heart.

What Tate and Cassie had, was nothing short of a fairy tale kind of love. But their happily ever after was just out of reach. One night, one event, changed them both. When something traumatic happens to your loved one, you immediately go inside yourself and wonder how you could have prevented it. You blame yourself. You shoot yourself down over and over again. Tate did just that when Cassie was assaulted. Cassie never blamed him, but that didn't matter. She was his to protect and he failed. Communication could have saved them, but Tate didn't want to worry Cassie more. Tate made the mistake of acting before thinking and decided on his own the that divorce was the best option for them. Well, Cassie isn't having any of it. She will fight for what is hers. She will fight for their love if Tate no longer wants to. She will fight for her happily ever after.

This is where I get excited because I think Cassie was a kick ass female lead in this story. When a romance has a fierce and tenacious heroine, it's an instant thumbs up from me. In most love stories I read, it's the hero fighting for their love, but with Summers switching it up and focusing on the female kicking ass and taking names for their love, I just couldn't keep the grin off of my face, or the HELL YEAH's that came out of my mouth.

With all that said, I'm really excited about this series. The author did a fantastic job at giving her readers an amazing set of characters who evoke so much emotion out of us. The storylines are amazing, touching on a realness where the readers can connect on a deeper level. Summers never gives us fluff. She dives in, head first, and give us romance junkies exactly what we are looking for - an enjoyable, beautiful, and emotional read with scorching hot sex scenes, sprinkled with a dash of kink. Keep em' coming Eden! We can't get enough!

If I could give a book 10 out of 5 stars this would be it.

I've read A Shot of Sin, which was very steamy and I'd expected something similar with Union of Sin. OH NO! Not at all. I'm not saying there isn't spice in this book, but it is a garnish rather than a main dish.

I just need to say that OMG I've had books that have made me ugly cry once, twice and occasionally even three times. But this book, woah, this book had me snivelling and crying so much I'm glad I wasn't out in public reading it! There are books that you enjoy and then quickly leave behind, there are books that leave you with a warm, snuggly feeling and then there are books like this that leave you with a MASSIVE book hangover.

Reading this, my heart was torn to shreds, stomped on and then, thankfully, put back together. My emotions were put through the wringer, a mincer and then a blender! I started reading this at just after 10 pm, with the intention of reading for an hour or so, I closed the book, having completed it, at just after 3 am!!!! I think I can safely describe it as "un-put-downable".

Cassie and TJ are excellent as the heroine and hero. I loved how the dynamics of their relationship changed, mainly because TJ realised Cassie was stronger and more independent than he allowed her to be.

When we discover WHY TJ was divorcing Cassie I did think Really? followed quickly by Why? and then by Surely no normal person would react like that?.
It seemed quite a 'weak' reason and VERY strange reasoning. However Cassie had felt like their love and marriage had been like a fairy-tale it was so perfect and this is the crux of the problem. TJ doesn't allow Cassie to make her own decision's because this might lead to her making mistakes. He controlled everything in their relationship, not in a bad way but just because he was so determined to make it perfect.

I think BOTH characters grew up and accepted that life can't be perfect all the time - although TJ certainly left it VERY last minute! Thank goodness for Leo and Brute and their wise words. Thank you Eden Summers (I think) for one amazing read.

I'm going to start off by saying that T.J. & Cassie frustrated the heck out of me. I wanted to punch T.J. in the throat throughout the entire story. His decisions were not completely reasonable. I don't like it when a character decides to act in what they feel is the best interest of someone else without consulting them in any way. T.J. destroyed his marriage over something that they could have worked through together. His lack of trust in his wife's ability to handle what happened showed his lack of belief in Cassie's strength as a woman. T.J. is supposed to love and respect Cassie but he doesn't trust her to be strong enough to handle some truths. His level of guilt and self inflicted punishment was a bit over the top as well. I didn't mind that Cassie wanted to keep her husband at almost any cost, but I also wanted her to have more fire and get angry at his lack of communication with her much sooner than she did.

With all that being said, I finished this read in one sitting because I couldn't stop swiping the screen. Summers writing is smooth and keeps the story flowing well. The erotic detail is good and there is even a bit of a twist that I didn't really see coming that was able to surprise me. Summers was able to get me invested enough in the characters that I immediately went and bought book one so that I can read Leo and Shay's story. I am also looking forward to reading what Summers has in store for Brute in a later book.

Firstly, here - if you are anything like me, you are going to need some of these.

This is the second book in the Vault of Sin series but you could read it as a standalone - though why you would want to miss out on any of the goodness that is an Eden Summers book...

We met Tate Jackson - TJ - in A Shot of Sin, and knew something was going on with him, but man oh man were things going on.

Right from the very start, this is what Ms Summers did to me.

TJ and his wife Cassie are having some marital troubles. When TJ decides to take things into his own hands, he breaks his wife's heart - and his own.

Gah! I wanted to scream at T.J to stop being an idiot, to talk to Cassie, to make things right. There was just so much sadness, a sense of resignation surrounding TJ, you know he is going to keep moping around, never making things right.

I cheered as Cassie decided enough was enough, and worked on getting T.J see what an idiot he was being.

For every glimmer of hope Ms Summers gives us, she breaks our hearts twice. Oh my goodness, there were times when I just couldn't read through my tears. This story just got to me in a big way and I just could not put it down once I started it.

I loved how we got more of Leo and Shay and where their relationship is at (from book 1) and I think i just love Brute more and more every scene he is in.

I can't wait for Brute's book - it is going to be a lot of fun on the ride to find the lady who brings him to his knees!

With each and every book, Ms Summers makes me fall more and more in love with her characters.

And I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Kindly provided by the author with an ARC in exchange for an honest review...

Quite the story line this one.....

This is the 2nd book in the series and is Tate and Cassie's story. Oh Tate, you nearly made a HUGE mess up buddy !!!

Tate & Cassie are happily married or at least they were, or well Cassie still is.....sounds like a plot doesn't it ?!!!.

I felt so sorry for Tate and his misguided guilt. Eden enabled the reader to feel his torment at giving up the love of his life, in an act that he felt as if he had no other choice but to do.
I at NUMEROUS points bellowed into my KINDLE......just explain and stop pushing her away !!.

Cassie......loved her, she is a strong women, being forced by her husband to get on with her life and she is heart broken. For Cassie there is still that big WHY he ended their marriage ?, which Tate has never answered (yet). So, when she and Tate come face to face.......game on. Cassie has her shot !!!!

Cassie basically wont go down without a fight and I loved how the characters from the Vault were all included and interwoven into this story.....Shay and Leo (they still are as funny and as hot as hell).

Fans self.....woo wee Eden sure can produce steamy story lines. For a few readers, this erotica might appear a little to sordid as there is a theme of exhibitionism and the world of subs, but I felt Eden hit the topic spot on....hell even I thought ermm it would not be that bad.....see ? thoroughly engrossed in the story line.

I adored the duel POV as it enabled the reader to understand the mind set of our leading guy and gal.

Would I recommend this series ?.....absolutely. Will I want to read book 3 "Brutes" story......dear god YES, I NEED to know what's going on inside his brain !!!

Many thanks for the opportunity and well done Eden.

Later peeps xxx

Hotness Rating 4 out of 5

I quickly became a fan of this series when I read Shot of Sin the first book of the Vault of Sin Series by Eden Summers. You can imagine my excitement with the release of this second installment. This series surrounds a group of 3 friends who own a secret sex club that resides hidden below their legitimate bar/restaurant. Each guy has his own reason for needing the sex club and we get the good fortune of reading each of these stories.

In Union of Sin we get TJ's story. I was looking forward to his story, I must admit due to the mention in book 1 of TJ's being married and hints of problems. I wondered how a man could be married and lead this kind of life yet his wife have no part in it. Be careful what you ask for. TJ and Cassie's story is heartbreaking and sad. It left me feeling such strong emotions that seemed so real. There were times I was so mad at TJ for being so noble and stubborn. There were times I found myself annoyed with Cassie. I just kept thinking have some pride and tell him to go to hell and move on with your life. Thank goodness Cassie didn't listen to my thoughts. The end result is beautiful and everything that this couple deserves.

WARNING: This book touches on the sensitive subject of sexual assault, but it's mildly written and not too intense.

All I gotta say is that the sex scenes were great, the basis of this second chance was great, the writing was easy and flowed really well, but where this book slacked was the reasoning behind the divorce. And the lack of a good apology and groveling to the female MC.

The reason behind the divorce was just underwhelming and frankly a bit childish and controlling. Maybe if that would have been a stronger more solidified point with more danger in a sense, this story would have soared. Also the half apology and gaslighting the male MC did to the female CC just fell short for me too. If he would have groveled more then it would have been better too.

This really does have good bones and the author has a page turning writing style too which I appreciated, but this story just wasn’t my favorite.

union of sin is book 2 of the sin series and can be read as a standalone but best to be read in order.
Tate (t.j) and his wife cassie are the main characters in this story, we start out with Tate filling for divorce and cassie not knowing why, turns out Tate as some secrets his wanting to keep.
I volunteered to read a copy of this book

*if you liked this book that’s totally fine and I’m happy for you!! but I’m entitled to my own opinions and I did not like this book. Please do not leave rude comments on my post nor on anything the author of this book posts please and thank you*

TW

I was finding this book interesting until 2 things happened:
1. We found out why TJ was divorcing her and it was stupid as fuck
It’s not Cassie’s fault she was assaulted nor is it her fault that the man who physically assaulted her r*ped a woman later on. TJ’s whole excuse for wanting to divorce her was pitiful and made me roll my eyes. He was treating Cassie like a child and not an adult. They kept talking about how wonderful their marriage was but if you cannot even have the most basic of communication over a divorce then you shouldn’t be in a relationship.

2. The scene of Shay and Cassie kissing was homophobic. Shay cheated on her boyfriend by making out with Cassie but in the book it was treated as no big deal. Idc who you are…making out with another person while in a monogamous relationship is CHEATING. But in the book it becomes basically a joke with Shay’s boyfriend saying “the way those two look together, I’m starting to think Shay might leave me for a better offer.”
🤨🤨 it’s just so annoying because for queer women and non-men, especially those of us who are attracted to multiple genders, our sexuality is constantly invalidated and one of the standard ways this is done is by our relationships/sexual encounters with women and non-men being seen as unequal to that of our relationships/sexual encounters with men and this book played right into that. Both of Cassie and Shay’s respective male partners would have been furious if they made out with a man but because it’s a woman it’s fine. No fuck that. You can think it’s not serious but it is because this kind of thinking leads to the fetishization of our sexuality and the high levels of abuse perpetrated against us. After this happened, I had to skim the book because I was done.

I’m just disappointed because the book started out interesting…I do love a good grovel 😩🤷‍♀️

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Firstly I have read all of Eden Summers books and the Vault Series would have to be my favourite. The concept of a 'classy' sex club owned by three friends Leo, T.J and Brute is different to other books by Eden.

After reading A Shot of Sin, the first book in the series and getting to know the main characters I was looking forward to Union of Sin and learning more about T.J and his wife Cassie. I became engrossed in the book from the beginning even though T.J isn't one of my more favourite characters. At times I wanted to slap him up the side of the head with his lack of communication that was threatening his marriage.

Throughout the book Cassie came across as a strong, passionate, indepedant women who still valued the protective nature of T.J.

I liked how the storyline flowed from A Shot of Sin and we got more insight into the other main characters from the series. The friendship that developed between Cassie and Shay (Leo's girlfriend introduced in first book in the series) gave Cassie an opportunity to get some much needed support (although misguided at times).

My favourite character in the series would have to be Brute and I look forward to the next book in the series and learning more about him and the soft heart that lies under his rough exterior.

Overall it was an engaging read with strong characters and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

Well damn TJ! I was pissed at him most of the book for not trusting his wife's judgment. He was a typical caveman, who knew best. No, wrong! Step back and let the lady handle herself, she's been doing it for years. Cool your jets, baby! Instead he blamed himself and decided to act before thinking.

Cassie took the reigns and showed TJ, that she is a big girl and can deal with her life and what she needs. She didn't want to lose her husband, she's always wanted him. And now she was going to prove it. Right under his nose!! TJ kept being stubborn and thinking this is for her own good. NO! Can they pull it together before the Divorce is final? Can they be okay? Can this work?

I love Eden's writing style. She draws you in, makes you the best friends of everyone. The characters are well written and we all know a TJ, who thinks he knows better than you. How many Cassie's do you know? Not many. I can't wait to read Brute's story. Keep those stories coming! It's how I escape reality!!

Wow, was this story very disappointing. I mean the reason behind a man who supposedly LOVES his wife....I was like WTH?????? Also, I don;t like when my h's have to do the chasing. I want the MAN to take charge and be the go-getter.

For me, this story was disappointing. The whole storyline for me just didn;t work at all:( I did however love getting more of Shay and Leo.

Oh, my.., The first book in this series was about Leo and Shay and I really liked them, but TJ and Cassie are amazing. I loved how much there love for each other showed all through their story. Poor TJ thought he was doing the right thing and protecting Cassie, but boy I liked how they worked things out.

Brutal Sin is going to be next and I can't wait to see Brute's soft side, because I know his has one hide somewhere.

Soooooo I saw Eden Summers TikTok video about this book three hours ago and downloaded it thinking it would become my read for the next couple of days…..nope. I literally consumed this book in three hours because I couldn’t stop. I’ve been locked in my room getting worked up over this book this whole evening and I will be staying up to finish the other two in the series because at this rate no one can stop me.

This book is hot and emotional and HOT. I have a bit of a thing for books that include this type of club setting and it didn’t disappoint in that aspect at all!

Cassie is my girl! She’s so damn fierce and I loved her progression throughout the book! She’s badass. TJ on the other hand had me frustrated to no end one moment and then panting in the next. This man gave me whiplash and I can’t say I hate him for it either because it kept me so dang invested.

The secondary characters were amazing too! Shay is a bombshell and I can’t wait to read her and Leo’s book! And I just know that Brute is gonna keep me entertained too!

I’ll write a more thought out review eventually but I had to come here to word vomit after finishing because I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m gonna go and jump back into the series now 😂

TJ and Cassie had the fairy tale happy marriage and the promise of a perfect future. But then due to some circumstances TJ distanced himself from her and eventually left her. She gave him space when he said he needed it. But now with the threat of divorce, she is ready to fight for her marriage. Although he is stubborn and not forthcoming on what the problem actually is.

TJ is usually strong, protective, devoted and loving. But he is struggling with feelings of guilt and has a secret he refuses to reveal. But it is important enough to him that he is willing to leave his wife that he was happy with.

Cassie is usually quiet, polite, sweet, and loves TJ and the life they shared together. She feels like they were compatible in every way. She is clueless as to why he distanced himself from her and is willing to them give them up. But she is done sitting back and letting him dictate her future and is determined to get answers.

She sees a way to try to get his attention to win him back, and it involves Vault of Sin, the sex club he owns with his friends that she has not been a part of. But trying to get back into his life to get closer might just result in pushing him farther away or hurting her even worse.

He is torn up by guilt and fear of ruining her, but at the same time is making them both miserable. He is buried under a secret and guilt. He holds tight to his decision. And she has no clue what the real issue even is, and time is running out. Will she find out his secret and be able to deal with it? Will she make him see they still belong together or will something else make him realize he also needs to fight?

It was well written, intriguing, and interesting, but I had a big issue that affected by enjoyment of this installment. I spent most of the book mad at TJ or just plain frustrated with him. I could not imagine what secret he was holding that could be worth the pain he was putting them both through. I was anticipating the thing keeping them apart would have been a more fundamental difference in beliefs, desires, or lifestyle that would be hard to fix. And when it was finally revealed, I still did not buy it as worth giving up their marriage for. But with that being said, TJ was the ultimate protector. He really thought he was keeping her from getting hurt and that it was something he could protect her from. And the protective, caring, sweet parts of him are some of the reasons I liked him in the first book. But his martyr tendencies in this one really got to me. I liked that she had a back bone and some self preservation.

There was a lot of back and forth between them. I wanted to throw them in the vault, lock them in, and let her pull answers from him by whatever way needed (Using those sex toys as torture devices seemed like a good option to me to drag answers from him). He was so stubborn and tried to be so stoic. And even though they thought they knew everything about each other before, they will have to revisit trust, forgiveness, and faith if there will ever be a chance to overcome their situation. Sometimes they are both guilty of underestimating the other's strength and devotion.

I enjoyed getting more with the side characters Shay and Leo (Shot of Sin) and the mysterious, harsh, voyeur Brute. I like their rapport and bond between the friends even when they are fighting over important decisions. I am not a huge fan of sex club shenanigans in books, but their club is more of a place for like minded people to explore their sexuality in a safe environment and is respectful of the clientele. There were more peeks to the kink and just a few club scenes to deal with. I am interested in Brute's story since he is intriguing and a very strong personality, but I sense that underneath his tough exterior is a man as needy as his friends.

Union of Sin
The Vault series book 2
Release Date: October 27, 2015
Review copy provided by the author for an honest review

I have been anxious to read this book. I was so curious about Tate Jackson ( TJ) in the first book. He was surrounded by sadness and resignation. But of course he wasn't talking. I knew he was having problems with his wife. My first thought was that she must be a vapid bitch, because TJ was completely likeable. I was wrong, heartbreakingly wrong.

TJ has served his beloved wife, Cassie with divorce papers. She's absolutely devastated and wants nothing more than to have her husband come home. TJ thinks he's doing the right thing. His misguided guilt and attempt to shelter her from a secret is tearing them apart. Cassie isn't ready to let go. She goes on an all out assault to get answers and to put a stop to the divorce.

Jesus, TJ made my damn head ache. I was spitting mad at him for the vast majority of the book. So much of the pain that they were both feeling could have prevented if he would have been honest with his wife. Shared his secret and opened up about his guilt. I don't think he gave his wife enough credit. Cassie is strong and worthy of being treated as such. TJ couldn't see that and it was the crux of all their problems and heartache. I wanted to throttle a fictional character. I admired Cassie for not accepting his crap. She wasn't willing to do nothing and let TJ destroy their marriage.

Cassie decides to play dirty. Insinuate herself into her husbands life at the sex club he owns, The Vault of Sin. Anything goes behind the closed doors. And she wants a part of that. I was proud of her for not letting a past horrible experience dampen her need to explore that darker side of her sexuality. Every attempt at winning TJ back is thwarted by his stubbornness. It was at the point where I was getting frustrated with Cassie, where she decided it was time to walk away. I was like, hallelujah! I knew she was hurting, but I didn't want her to be a doormat anymore. I think Eden Summers did a good job of pulling Cassie up by her ears and shaking some sense into her. It was time for the woman to gather up her wounded pride and find a new normal...whatever that may be.

Of course TJ pulls his head of the sand just in time to stop the divorce. Again, I wanted to smack him. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY liked him. I was just tired of him being a martyr. I was excited to see him finally grab his marriage by the balls and fight for the happiness they both deserved! I would have liked to see him grovel a lot more. I do think that Cassie took him back way too fast. I'm not sure I would have been able to accept his apologies so quickly, despite him finally sharing the whole truth with her.

I am a huge fan of all of Eden Summers books. And this one was fantastic too! There's so much depth to the characters in this series. They're kinda like onions, so many layers to peel back and discover. TJ wasn't my favourite hero of hers. But he was realistic in the sense that he wanted to protect the woman he loves. And sometimes we do stupid things in the name of that love. Ms. Summer's needed to make TJ flawed. He needed to be stubborn and unwilling to see the path he was on was only causing more pain. I think he needed all of that to fully appreciate that he's married to a kick ass woman who is capable of holding herself together during difficult times. Sometimes we discover the best parts of our relationships only when we've lost them. And then, like TJ, you have to fight to build it up again.

I can not wait to see what torture Eden Summers puts, Brute through! I can't quite figure this guy out. I'm betting his onion is going to be many layers...and cause a lot of tears.

A welcome return to the the Vault. The club down under where all things go bump in the night! How I have missed this oh so naughty club. This is the second instalment of the Vault of Sin series and I personally couldn't wait to see what was coming next from the pen of Eden Summers.

A quick re-cap. The vault is owned by three friends. They run a successful business and each one of them plays their part in it. This second book revolves around Tate Jackson, one of the three. There's something about Tate that draws you in. He doesn't involve himself in the running of the vault, he leaves that side of the business to his partners. The question is why? Right from the beginning you could tell that Tate had a story to tell. This tortured soul who was hiding something from his friends, more importantly, had hidden the truth from his estranged wife Cassie.

As a married couple, both Tate and Cassie had often fantasised about visiting a sex club and visit one, they did. And that is where it all fell apart. Without giving too much away, I highly recommend you one-clicking this book to find out what occurred the night which left them both devastated and alone.

Tate wants a divorce, Cassie cannot understand why and neither could I. "Get a grip Tate," I shouted at the book! This couple are so in love with each other it was frustrating to watch and read. I just wanted to dive into the pages of this book and bang their heads together. Cassie has let Tate steer their relationship thus far; however, now is the time for her to take control. She has twenty-eight days to make him see sense. And this is where the fun begins.

Fun I hear you say? Yes Fun...*Winks* The club will be hosting a masquerade party giving Cassie the ideal opportunity to go incognito. With a fake ID in hand, off she went full of nervousness and a large dose of curiosity. Perfect! Tate was to take a turn in the Vault that night which found himself irrevocably drawn to this mysterious woman. After exchanging a kiss, the feelings of guilt and betrayal to Cassie, his wife, makes him turn and run in a completely opposite direction.

All is not lost though. Tate realised that he can no longer deny the feelings he has for his wife and the pair are reunited. But what is the big secret that set this whole scenario in motion? All will be revealed. This revelation will leave Cassie distraught making Tate wish he could have saved his wife from hearing the truth about that one fateful night. Can love conquer all, or will it divide?

Last but not least, a note for Author Eden Summers. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book but then again, I knew I would. It was well written and the story continuously flowed throughout; hence the five sinful stars I have awarded. Congratulations!

The Vault Series has been my first exposure to Eden Summers. Not sure where I've been that I haven't discovered this amazing author before now. In the first book we met all the major players for the series - Leo and Shay, Tate (TJ) and Cassie and Brute. We got the in depth view of Leo and Shay in Shot of Sin and now it's TJ and Cassie's turn. And boy what a turn they have!!

This was one of these books that I just couldn't put down. Which doesn't happen as much as I would like it to that's for sure. The concept of opposites attract is so true in TJ and Cassie. Cassie is quiet, somewhat shy and reserved, but very devoted to her marriage. Whereas TJ is somewhat more boisterous (he'd have to be given the Sex Club he, Shay and Brute own and operate), strong and almost alpha like and loves his wife without question. However, there's a secret that he's keeping that he feels will destroy Cassie so he does the only thing he can and that's ask her for a divorce.

I literally sat on my couch talking, actually almost yelling at TJ for this dumbass move! He obviously didn't give Cassie the credit she deserves by doing this and Cassie in no uncertain terms decides this ISN'T what her fate is and takes actions to not only get TJ back but their marriage as well. I wanted to give her a fist pump for taking a stand and going after what she wants.

To do this, Cassie decides to get involved in The Vault so she can participate in a lifestyle that TJ has always wanted his wife to enjoy, but just hasn't given her the opportunity to show him she too can and is interested in taking their sex life to that next level. It involves TJ trusting her to know her limits though. And he's just not sure he can handle that side of his wife.

Both their actions will either decimate them or make them stronger individually and as a couple. The way Eden writes their story is intriguing, compelling and driven with great details. As I read more and more I got so much more invested not only in TJ and Cassie but the series as well. I can't wait for Brute's book to wrap up this series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Union of Sin is the second book in the Vault of Sin series by Eden Summers. A Shot Of Sin is the first book and is Leo and Shays story. It's absolutely amazing and gives you glimpses of TJ before Union Of Sin.

TJ and Cassie have a marriage I honestly think we all dream of having. He's so amazingly good to her and goes to great lengths to protect her and keep her safe. After an incident at a sleezy club he blames himself and decides that Cassie is better off without him and he leaves her and files for divorce. Cassie however has absolutely no idea why TJ is wanting to divorce and is going to fight the divorce win everything she's got. TJ is the love of her life and Cassie is the love of TJs life. Can Cassie hold on to TJ? Can TJ except Cassie is not a wallflower and actually a pretty tough cookie that he's sheltered and kept secrets from? While his intentions may be good they both are suffering and will love each other forever. This is their journey.

I loved this book. It's a quick read but there is so much packed into the book. I love Eden Summers writing style. She never fails to connect you to the characters in such a way you feel like you know them like your best friends. TJ is so stubborn at times that I just wanted to shake him. He's got a secret and he had gone to great lengths to not let this secret hurt Cassie. Cassie is a character I think anyone whose ever been hurt can relate to. She's sad, lonely, and confused by TJs motives. She was a sweet innocent girl when they met and I feel like TJ didn't really know how tough Cassie can be. I loved watching her find her inner strength and fight for what she wanted. I don't want to give anything at all away. It's a book you need to experience and one you certainly don't won't to miss.

Once again Summer Eden has blown me away. I can't wait though for Brutes book and where his journey takes us. I have a feelings it's doing to be one wild ride.

Union of Sin is book #2 in The Vault series and can be read as a stand-alone although I would recommend reading book #1 A Shot of Sin, it was really good!

This book is one incredibly emotional ride. I found myself cursing Tate for his dumb-ass decisions and cheering on Cassie to go after what she wanted! Tate has distanced himself from his wife, the love of his life, because of an idea he got stuck in his head. He is miserable but adamant that his decision was the right one. Cassie can't figure out for the life of her what went wrong in their marriage and wants what they had before and she finds the perfect way to get Tate back in her life with a little help from a couple of friends.

Union of Sin is one hell of a hot, super-sexy, frustratingly aggravating story that just sucks you in and makes you feel and I loved it!

Received an ARC for an honest review. Not sure about T.J when I started reading this book, he was so torn, about something in his marriage to Cassie, that he felt it was better to divorce her and keep it from her, and give up on their love, to continue protecting her. She was fighting so hard to get him back, trying to see their love could bring them thru anything. It was heartbreaking for both of them, seemed futile, as he wasn't going to give in. Then there was the BDSM club that he and the other guys owned, she had never been to, hoping that might help pull them together ? Can anything save their marriage, or will it be to late when / if he realizes he has messed up❤️❤️.great story, a must read.

I was given an arc for an honest review.

Bloody hell woman. You have a very powerful way with words.
We where introduced to TJ in the First Vault of Sins series.
Union Of Sin tells TJ and Cassie story.
Tate or TJ is separated from his wife Cassie.

They made a decision that effected there marriage.

Cassie is fighting to hold TJ.

This story is a very emotional read.
Be warned Vodka and Tissues will be needed.

Will they or won't they find the way back to each other.

Trust me adding this series to your TBR list and buying them. You will not be disappointed.

The Vault Of Sin is a different story from her Reckless Beat series but also a very enjoyable series.
