Which is great, because if I take any more time off work, my sister and I will be out on the street. Being a mercenary keeps me off the Council’s radar, so I really don't want to get fired. Unless I win the lottery.
Then, I do. In a sense. A big job has come my way, and the pay is enough to keep me comfortable for the rest of my life. Except my client is Liam Pierce, my boyfriend’s father and an important member of the Council that wants all Fireborn like me dead or eternally imprisoned.
But the job hits close to home, and I can’t bring myself to refuse. As long as I keep my distance from my “boss,” things should be fine, but I'm about to learn there’s more to this job that meets the eye…. And it could cost me everything.
Magic Lost is the third book in the Touched By Dragon urban fantasy series.
Magic Lost is a fast-paced urban fantasy adventure perfect for readers who enjoy a kick butt heroine, a handsome, powerful hero, and some slice of life humor.
When Ashley Meira was a little girl, she used to dream about flying with dragons. When she was a teenager, she used to imagine skulking around with vampires. Now, she's too lazy to get off her couch, much less join the paranormal. So, she just writes about them from the comfort of her own home.

I have really enjoyed reading this series, and this book in particular is my favorite so far. I enjoy the characters, and their interactions, making them relatable, the mysteries that come to light keeping the book intriguing, and the resolution of some, while bringing forth new ones to unravel make it a truly enjoyable read. Can't want for the next book, or Fiona 's story to unravel!
So I still really like the characters, but the slow burn romance is getting pretty juvenile & frustrating we’re done 3 books now come on!
The story is okay we’re still finding out some information about our girls past, nothing is fully clear yet because for the fact that the evil man who held the girls captive wants to start a new world order with him as the leader and fire borns no longer hunted down to near extinction. (Apparently he was a twin and his brother was killed at 10 years old just for being a fire born) every thing since seems like revenge.
The girls went to the fae realm where her best friend/ sister potentially found out who her parents were and she made a deal ( which I think will come into play in the next book).
We also found out Adam had a 1/2 sister and saw he’s not as perfect as we thought, just another flawed human who made a mistake years ago injuring her and needing to talk things out.

I have to say it. I'm not a huge fan of cliff hangers. Usually I don't read a series until ALL the books are out. But this series was SO good, in just couldn't wait! Ashley Meira does an AMAZING job in setting the character stage. All her characters have depth and are so "real" you can almost see them jumping off the page. That's a talent that not many have and Meira has honed to a very sharp skill. This is the first series of hers that in have read and I will be anxiously awaiting the final 2 books.
I can not wait to read the final book & Fiona's series as well!!!!! I love this series! It's amazing, mind blowing an leaves you so emotional I'm reading the next book as soon as I'm done writing this review lol. I was hooked at the first book I could not put it down. I can honestly say I'll read it all over again while I wait for the final book and Fiona's book.
Now I understand the title. My whole heart hurts. It’s a beautiful thing to watch Sophia and Adam grow together but this book is a hurricane of epic proportions. I’m devastated for Sophia. Because to win, she had to lose. And omg I cannot wait for the next book. I know things are changing but the heart wrenching ending leaves me hoping for something more to happen because I don’t want her to lose everything.
This book continues straight on from the last book which I was quite glad of. There is nothing worse than having to 're read the same story in a new book. Good continuation and sets the scene for the next book. Recommend reading books in its sequence .
Have really been enjoying this series. Great characters and storyline. Only problem is the next book Magic Unbound says being released in April but it's now June and I can't find it anywhere.
So well written, the characters are so strong. I can't wait for the next book, this one has left me desperate for the next. Thank you so much for writing such wonderful books.
the anty has been upped... How are they going to make it through, the pressure is on and can they complete the assigned tasks.. Oh I just want to tell you, but that wouldn't be fair
This is a good series! It is action packed and full of love. The characters are very colorful and descriptive. I felt like I was right there feeling the hurt, pain and love.
This series of books is a must read. Fantastic characters brilliant storyline laugh out load reading in some parts tears in eyes in others but seriously good
I finished this book by reading every spare second and could have just cried at the end. I can only hope the next in this series will not be too far away!
Story I had trouble putting down. Characters will written. Story line unbelievable strong, moving smooth. Leaves you waiting for the next shoe to drop!
I love the story line and it definitely grabbed my attention to continue reading. The only draw back is the constant inner war for the character that seem to be repeated constantly which I think could be less of. However, it did leave a lot of questions unanswered and not asked which we could have more of. In the end it was a great read for me.
These were fun. The romance moved very very quickly and then stalled for most of the second and third books, but the mystery was fun in this one and it had a happy conclusion.
This book is a continuation of Adam and Sophia’s story with a little bit more of Fiona’s background getting included or the previous book. Either way this story goes in about how Adam and Sophia look to stopping Gadot and the Fairy God from causing mass destruction.
We see here how Adam and his dad interact. We learn more about Adam’s history with Charlotte and what role she plays in this.
And the final jump off the cliff is we learn something new about Sophia ans you are going to be biting your nails to find out what happens between her and her sister.
There is so much going on that that the book seems too short. Doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the read, it just seems like there should be more time to digest what is going on. Thoroughly enjoyed the book.
