Get all six of the bestselling Awakened Dragons book in this complete series set. Six sexy, larger than life fire breathers with unique, gemstone related powers who just woke up and are ready to defend humanity and learn the ways of the modern world while finding their fated mates. Warning: contains ferocious dragons, fearsome fights, fiery love scenes and fiercely cute kittens that can melt even a scale-covered heart.
Onyx Dragon Isaac Morningstar III, or Zach to the few who know him, has hit rock bottom. Once an immortal, nearly-invincible dragon, he's been awakened only to have his powers and his treasure locked away until he can prove himself to be a trustworthy protector of humans. Since Zach has never liked humans, he's pretty sure he's going to end up back on ice. That is, until he meets sweet, curvy Erin, a human hairdresser who might just turn his world upside down.
Sapphire Dragon Luc, the sapphire dragon, didn't want to be brought back into the world he left behind centuries ago. Especially with a collar that ensures he can't access his incredible powers until he's willing to fight for humanity. He tried that once and he's not willing to let himself care again. Until he meets Hallie, a kind shelter worker whose bright smile and sexy curves melt the ice inside him and make him want to protect humans once more.
Ruby Dragon Red used to have it all. Sexy, powerful and attractive to all women, as the ruby dragon he had the world at his feet. But now he's awakened and collared, unable to use his powers and alone in the modern world. His only company is his insane adopted cat and Faye, the curvy, sweet neighbor who makes his dragon sit up and say 'mate'. Too bad the only woman he finds irresistible has no trouble resisting him. Diamond Dragon Alistair Brighton, the diamond dragon, needs to escape. Imprisoned, chained and used for experiments, his only hope for escape is Bridget, the quiet human woman who brings him his meals (and intrigues him for mysterious reasons). But Bridget isn't sure she wants to let a dangerous dragon out of his cage, and Alistair can't promise he was ever much of a hero.
Amethyst Dragon With his dark, ominous powers, Dominic, the Amethyst dragon, has learned to keep his world secret. Bad things happen when he tries to let people in. Now that he's awakened, he's determined to help save the world and disappear back into the shadows. Until he rescues Lana, a feisty, damaged human who draws Dom in and tempts him to risk getting close to someone for the first time in so long. Too bad his dream woman has a no-shifter rule.
Emerald Dragon After centuries of searching, the impossible has finally happened: Aegis, the Emerald Dragon, has found his long-lost mate. The only problem? She's a captive of the dark forces he's allied himself with in order to meet his own selfish ends. But Aegis knows how to be a hero, it just takes the right motivation. Like saving the only person that has ever mattered to him.
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

This is a condensed version of my reviews for all 6 books. Each book is separately reviewed under my profile name 'Debra Johnson' on the book page.
Onyx Dragon 3.75 Stars There is some great snarky humor. The romance area was pretty good. I liked both Erin and Isaac (Zach). There are some editing errors, but not many........ ..I really liked it, but did not fall in love with it. ..... the story was good and a lot of fun to read.
Sapphire Dragon 4 Stars This is a sweet, little, light and easy dragon romance. ..... Well written with an easy flow. There is humor and very little tension of any kind. ......'Quirky, amusing, moderately adult, paranormal romance. ...a few typos/editing errors. ...A fun read.
Ruby Dragon 3.25 Stars ..... listed in the 'Adult' genre, they really are not overly graphic in any way. ...The writing is pretty smooth and flows easily. You will seldom find a typo or editing error. ..very mild, fun and sweet paranormal dragon romances. Even the bad guy is not all that bad. ...Red & Faye... They may be my new favorites. ....However... They also have humor... enough to make you grin. I recommend these for when you need some light reading...
Diamond Dragon 4 Stars ..few editing, etc. problems and nothing that interfered with the flow of the story in any way. Biggest problem with any of these is the 'Cheese' factor. This one is my favorite so far. ..light, sweet and easy reads. ....they barely make the 'Adult' genre. ..And these are definitely fun. ...great reads for those who want an adult read without it being erotic...
Amethyst Dragon 3.5 Stars ....Fun, sweet, sappy. ...less suspense in it until close to the end. ...I liked both MC's. The suspense at the end was super short and settled quick. Now on to the last book in this omni-bus. Emerald. He has actually been one of the bad guys in all the previous books. And already I think it will be the most intriguing.
Emerald Dragon 2.75 Stars The dialog and flow was very stilted. This is my least favorite of the series. It could have been the best. The humor was off. To much inner dialog. The whole thing seemed rushed. I was disappointed.
I reviewed each story as I read the boxset but putting all 6 reviews here just seems too long so I'm putting links here to each of the individual reviews if you want to check them out. :D
After reading about the double dragons in Terry's shifter world, I decided to read more about them with the new series of Awakened Dragons. It was interesting in the sense that these are ancient dragons, trying to adapt to modern times, while also looking for a mate. I thought it would be more collaboration between them and the dragons we already knew, and it was disappointing that they were so isolated, just interacting among themselves and with few interactions with the oracle, that most of the time did nothing. I didn't like the collars she put on the dragons, even if somehow necessary with some of them, it feels unfair. The character of the oracle is hard to understand, or like, the dragons on the other hand are very fun to read about.
I liked the different backstories and personalities of the dragons, and how, despite they all sharing the same background and goals, the author manages to change enough of each story to make them unique, even if the formula is the same and you already know what's going to happen at the end since they all follow the same basic plot, especially the first books.
Onyx
This is the first dragon to get into the world, he is truly out of place, and he acts like a crazy person most of the time, but he quickly recognizes that Erin is someone especial, and she teaches him how to care about humans. He was very cynical and haughty, feeling like he was at the top of the world, and Erin was very positive and always saw the best in everyone, that makes for a good match, since they complement each other.
Sapphire
The second dragon to be awakened, he is put under the care of Zach, the Onyx dragon. He has a lot of baggage that has been dragging him down. He doesn't want to care or be awake, and he is depressed, but when he meets Hallie, all that changed, and he is ready to accept the world again. He was a good dragon from the start, and his problem was that he cared too much, and again, Hallie was the perfect person to help him overcome his fears and guilt.
Ruby
This one was very fun to read. I felt somehow bad about the "sex" dragon, and how none of the other dragons wanted him near their mates. Again, he finds the perfect girl for him, the only one that doesn't fall for him at first sight. Faye is a woman with bad experiences behind her, that mistrusts handsome men, and manages to resist Red. I liked the fact that Red was very sweet and full of good intentions, even if he was doing the wrong things, he was almost childlike.
Diamond
This is the first book where the plot has a major change from previous books, since Alistair wasn't awakened like the others, but kidnapped and used for experiments. He has an even more difficult personality than the others dragons, in part because of his circumstances, and he keeps trying to act like he is purely selfish, even if it's clear he cares about Bridget, the woman who helped him escape in exchange of his help to find her friend. Their relationship is also one of the most complicated and it has a lot of misunderstandings in the way.
Amethyst
Dom is the sweetest and most misunderstood of all the dragons. I don't blame Lana for trying to resist him and not trusting him, not after being kidnapped by shifters, but everything was more complicated than necessary between them because of that. I liked them, the tortured character and the damaged one, helping each other heal. Many things weren't fair between them, but like I said, I understand their difficult circumstances. It was a different story, and even if some, or most things were easy to guess or predict. I liked how they became real friends, I liked how Dom was willing to do his best to make Lana feel safe, it didn't feel like he was trying to manipulate her, he really cared about her.
Emerald
Emerald was the bad guy most of the series, so it was weird watching him switch sides, but his back story was very interesting. From the first book we saw had problems with Onyx and that there was something that was affecting him, some of the other dragons insisted he wasn't that bad and he even helped them a couple of occasions, and in this book we finally get the backstory and the reasoning behind his behavior. The author does a great job of turning a villain into a hero. I also liked Opal, even if I didn't like how she acted like the voice of reason, and still managed to act like a little kid sometimes. Their relationship was a clear example of how simple misunderstandings can complicate things, and this case it was a few decades or maybe even centuries of misunderstandings that a few talks and a little communication managed to fix.
It was a good end to the series, even if there were a few things that didn't make a lot of sense in their war with the dark oracle. In a way it was fun to see all the dragons fighting and see them bonding together, and despite the failings in the plots and few errors in the story. I definitely want to read more about the world.
Onxy Dragon Zach hated humans and knew that they would never redeem themselves in his mind. Then he met Erin and everything started to change and Zach became confused about what he really wanted. She started to see how Zach was trying to protect her from the rough neighborhood she worked in and she slowly began to care for Zach. Sapphire Dragon Luc was frozen on the inside from the mistake he made years ago and now he didn’t know how to change. Then Halley came into his life to show him that there was light in the frozen field of humanity. Halley was trying to live her life as best as she could with as little as pain as possible. Diamond Dragon Alistair had been captured and was being used for experiments he had no clue about but knew they weren’t for the good of the people. Alistair had two things to look forward to during the whole day while being held and they were Bridget and a scraggy cat. Why were these people holding him and what should she do? Alistair and Bridget were both confused about each other but would they find their way to each other?
Amethyst Dragon Dim hates what he sees, hears and dreams about on a daily. He doesn’t believe anyone will have him the way he is nor will friends last either. Onyx dragon: Zach was pompous and arrogant but I thought he was instantly hilarious because of his belief of superiority on “humans.” The banter between him and his mate was very entertaining and towards the end, Zach’s outlook on humans was completely turned around. It really helped that he began a trend of adopting cats for calming dragons...
Sapphire dragon: Lucien is the sweetheart that has a broken soul. He cares too much about humans and when he discovers his mate, she ignites his “inner man” to come forward and protect her at all costs. And it all starts with a cat.. hmm sensing a theme..
Ruby dragon: Red just moved into a new place to call his own and little did he know he moved in next to his mate. Now, his particular dragon was always known for their promiscuity, so what is he to do when his mate wants nothing to do with him except as a friend? Well, Red becomes her friend and wears down her walls.. especially with the help of his “demon cat,” Pumpkin..
Diamond dragon: Alistair has been tortured and bled for so long, he can’t wait until he’s released to rip all of them to shreds and go back to his life where he was worshipped by the human women. But what is it about the plain girl that keeps bringing his food every day and that scraggly cat? Diamond’s hope for ever getting out his he’ll instantly changes and now he’s on the run with the plain girl and mangey cat from the dungeon...
Amethyst dragon: Dom has always been the quiet elusive one that prefers to be alone to deal with his visions and nightmares. So when he starts volunteering his help to his friends’ mate to find her friend, Lana, everyone is worried. Dom knows he must find her and claim her to protect her. However what Lana’s been through.. she hates shifters. So now what is Dom to do? Oh yeah.. buy not one cat, but adopt a BOX of kittens..
Emerald dragon: After all the brief glances of compassion and caring from Aegis in the previous books, I was beginning to wonder if Aegis would ever get his happy ending... I’m not going to shed any light on this one because it was definitely a page turner leaving you wanting more and I would have to say, leaving this best one for last was perfect from Terry. * Of course Aegis also gets a cat but OMG Cuddles is by far the most peculiar but fits Aegis and his stubbornness perfectly.*
Ever wonder what u would do being human n r confronted by a tall, sexy, drop dead georgous man who claims to be a dragon. Not only that, but u r also his mate. This is the premise of the books in these tales by the author. Each dragon has a different power according to their gem stone with the baddest being Emerald. They were re-awakened by "The Oracle" after being on ice n a collar is placed around their neck that inhibits them accessing their power until they prove themselves worthy. A war between shifters n humans unfolds, with evil shifters bent on ruling/enslaving humans. Dragons must make the choice to protect humans against this threat. Some choose to work along the side of the shifters. I had to chuckle a bit, because as a form of therapy, cats r used to bond with the dragons. Some of their choices were as broken or damaged as them. Such as a 3 legged cat, one with one bad eye or one that had been previously abused. Picked solely by the dragons because they remind them of a quality shared by their particular mate. Each dragon also gives each other advice on what finally attracted their mate. Which doesn't work. The last book in the set concerned Emerald. Who decided at the last moment to join his fellow dragons. He'd previously been working with the shifters led by "The Oracle's" evil sister. He changed sides after finding out the female dragon named Opal whom he loved was actually chained up by the sister n being used in her experiments. There's a lot of action, drama, jealousy, sexy moments, n secrets involved in each story to entertain you. Grab ur copy n find out for yourself.
These are the first books I've read by this author. I took a chance and glad I did. It is heavy on romance and has long adult scenes, that get pretty intense. I like Insta love so these books were great for me. I didn't give 5 stars only because, they weren't my favorite books, although they were good. They were considerably short compared to a full novel. (I read 1 to 2 each night) And there wasnt a lot of Dragon. What I mean by that is they talk about the dragons, and the shifters, and their dragon sides and qualities, but there are not a lot of scenes with the dragons themselves. I did love their protectiveness. Just because it is 4.5 stars doesn't mean it's bad. Seriiusly. If you like insta love, steamy hot romance, and dragons (alpha dragons I might add) then this is definitely a series for you. I'm excited to move on to the next one she has, as a spin off series from this one.
I loved the different gems and how each dragon had their own powers. Learning a new world differing from mid evil times is a shock to them, just as learning how to live among humans in this modern age.
Are they going to make it? Will they be put back to sleep? Will the dragons be on the good side or will they turn out to be evil? You will be kept guessing each of these things as you go through each book. So of the dragons are hiding things from each other. Will the oracle be able to get a handle on who is running the bad creatures to war against the dragons and ultimately the humans?
This series of books will keep you engaged. Watch out for grumpy dragons, humans, felines and other shifters. Beware of steamy love scenes, bad food and couples on the run! I loved it all!! So enjoy!
This was a steadily good series. It was fast paced, interesting, sweet, hopeful, sexy, and had some action to keep the reader intrigued/pleased. Yes there were typos, but not so many that it took away from the stories. I liked how each story had its own plot, twists, and different incidents so that the reader wouldn't get bored from reading the same old thing. Each one can be read as a standalone, but I rather preferred to read them one after the other so that everything from the previous story/stories was fresh in my mind.
Overall, this was a good shifter, romance series and I'd recommend it to others who like fast paced shifter stories.
I really liked this set of paranormal romance reads each dragon has got his own collar on and he has to find a way to get it released by finding a human mate and getting to like humans but while there trying to woo there mates there is also trouble from another woken dragon who is on the wrong side and wants to recruit these dragons to fight against the humans ....these books can be read alone and they all have happy endings but I like to read the whole series this author has got really good imagination and his writing style is very good if your looking for a good read then this is for you I was not disappointed .
This collection was just what I needed, and just what I expected. Nothing fancy or complex; just a group of super hawt dragon shifters who've been awoken from the Middle Ages, only to find that the world has changed and they must change with it if they're going to avoid being put back to sleep.
These are cute stories with heart, and while most of the 'twists' the author put in were well telegraphed, I didn't find the plot or the characters overly simplistic.
These were just I needed. When the world is going to hell in a handbasket, it's time to read something that makes you feel warm and fuzzy...and a little hot and bothered.
I read the first in the series. I had trouble connecting with the 2 characters. I dont know why...I just couldnt care about them. Maybe it was the way Isaac came off...hating humans. Which isnt a new thing I've read but I dont know his hatred kinda went beyond and just made me dislike him and I couldnt get on board with him. He rubbed me wrong. That kinda ruined me reading any of the other books. Yes, I know its not fair but if in my mind if I dont like how it starts I more or less might not like the rest. I'm not saying I wont give this a try again and read the next book in the series. Just not now. This is weird for me because I love her dragon books darn it! :)
Overall Awakened Dragons held my interest. The first book in series Onyx Dragon was a little hard for me to get into at first but by the time I finished book 2 (Sapphire) I was in love with the "gemstone" dragons!! I don't want to give away spoilers so I won't say much more. If you love paranormal romance with alpha heroes who happen to have a soft spot for animals (kitties) from the shelter along with a smoking hot romance that will make you laugh out loud and also tear up???? Grab this set and enjoy!!😜
Each book is completely HOT, with the beauty of the the masculine men, the romance, and it seems even the fights are HOT!! Such page turning, falling asleep reading, hanging on to the edge of your seat can't put it down love ,fights, and drama. (Falling asleep, because you just don't want to give it up, then you dream it!) I mean what do you expect with a house full of gorgeous men who are of course egomaniacs!! But, you will also see their hearts and the fun they have in sharing that. Totally recommend this to ALL you love a Great para-romance!!
When the gem dragons are first awakened they all go through different things when they find their mates and what how they use their powers to save them and their friends. At first Ageis was stolen and working on the evil side with the dark oracle until he found his mate Opal who was his bestfriend that he thought he lost ages ago,I'm glad that in the end all the gem dragons all went through the situations they did because it made them all into better people in the end that all have common goals which are helping win the fight for the good side of shifters who want to help protect and not rule over others.
I bought this book in a set for $.99. The set consisted of all of the serise. Even for that cheap of a price I couldn't get more than half way through the 1st novel. It was just plain stupid, boring, and repetitive. The dialog was stiff and ridiculous. It was just an impossible book to get into. The sex was boring and while it was somewhat descriptive it mostly just glossed over the parts you wanted in more detail. I will not continue w this author or these books.
This boxed set was full of daring dragon fights and intimate love scenes. As a lover of paranormal romance, I really enjoyed the way each dragons story intertwined with the next. Each dragons story moved a bit too quickly, making it hard to put down, but at the same time over too fast. This, and the several typos, were the only reasons I did not give the set 5 stars.
Really enjoyable series has everything you could want in shifter books. Red hot alpha dragon shifters who do absolutely anything to get their mates and who are the most protective caring lovers once they do. There is sizzling red hot sex, lots of romance hot protective alpha males, feisty females and crazy fight scenes, everything you could want in a good shifter series. Really enjoyable entertaining read.
I enjoyed this original world of shifters, especially the dragons with their amazing powers and unique personalities. Each true mate is strong and determined in her own right with a back story that forms her personality and interactions with her dragon. Each book is a true good against evil tale, increasing in danger and action as each adventure unfolds. The awakened Gem dragons are fantastic and magnetic creatures.
Oh, wow! I usually don't read dragons for some reason but knowing the great writing style of the author I decided to give this a try. To say I like this would be a lie. I loved each story. I hated to even put it away to sleep at night. The series has everything in it and plenty of action and giggles with some very memorable characters. There is sexual content. Got to read more dragons.
If you love shifters, Dragons, and Terry Bolryder's other books, you'll love this box set. This covers the awakenening of 6 dragons, how they meet their mates and the incredible battles they must fight. I think it's super funny and sweet how they all somehow, end up adopting rescue cats. Some sweet, and others a challenge. This collecting is very long, but kept me interested throughout.
I couldn't get enough of these books. I was laughing, crying and on the edge of my seat. I still wanna learn more about the babies and other dragons. More. I want more
These books had everything a girl could ask for, love, adventure, and amazing sex scenes. I just wanna know about the new dragons that werehinting at, and what kind of powers the next generation dragons would have had.
When i finished this box set i tried to think of my favorite couple but i just couldn't. Each story and all the charaters were so well written making it impossible for me to choose. I highly recommend this set to any supernatural romance lover. Terry's writting style with seriously sexy scenes, interesting plots, and never having cliffhangers; has made her one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend any of her books.
When I found this book on Amazon I was a little hesitant in buying this series. I had not read about dragon shifters before. I am glad I got this series! The author tells each story beautifully not straightforward like you know what will happen like other books...BOOM a surprise happens you did not see coming! I definitely recommend this book series and the ones that follow to anyone that loves this type of books or those that want to step out of their genre and read them!
Imagine a bunch of dragons frozen in time for centuries. Then imagine those dragons awakened centuries later to a new time and place. They scramble trying to figure But the new world they find themselves in. Along comes 21st-century women. Outspoken, spunky, and kind. It's a lot of fun reading about these ancient men falling for these modern women. Oh yeah these dragons are brought out of cyro-sleep to save humans from a evil Oracle.
5 stars is not enough stars. This is the best combined series I've read in a long while. I never got board. The stories, the pace and proofreading is perfection. If you want to learn about dragons then this is where you want to begin. Wolves, bears, cats and other forms of shifters are good too, but dragons are the ultimate.
This box set was perfect. I love the colors oxyn, ruby, sapphire, diamond and all of their great names for big beautiful dragons. I love their different personalities, their powers and once they found mates that love was so true. And the fact that these big strong guys I mean dragons loved cats oh be still my heart.
Dragon's that can walk in human skin is fascinating. To watch them change from human to dragon and back again is bind blowing and awesome. To read about and see it in your mind really is great. I give this book a five rating because of the dragon's and their mate's. I would recommend this book to everyone who love the fantasy of Shifters.
I have the other series first not knowing of the previous stories were available. I was hooked. Thrilled by them I wanted all of them and now have read them to the best of my knowledge. Aegis was the first they all fell in line. One of the top 15 series I have read and being 76 years old I have read a lot. I take my hat off Terry bolryder.
