o save her beloved steed Vassago from eternal torment, Lady Death is drawn to the wasteland city Siduri where lust isn’t a sin, but a way of life. Instead, she encounters the demon sorceress DEMONIKA and is put under an ironclad spell and made to be a plaything to be auctioned off to the highest demon bidder. Is all hope lost?
Mike MacLean is responsible for writing the most outrageous monster movies ever to prowl cable TV, including Sharktopus, Piranhaconda, and Dinocroc vs. Supergator, all produced by Hollywood legend Roger Corman.
Mike then leapt into the Hellish world of Lady Death, co-writing the incredibly successful Coffin Comics line of graphic novels with independent icon Brian Pulido.
Mike’s other credits include a creature feature thriller and a slew of bone-breaking crime stories that bloodied the pages of The Best American Mystery Stories and Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine.
A good issue, though the starting and stopping of Lady Death cast under a spell that made her exotic dance for hedonistic demons went back and forth for a bit too long, but once the action picked up, the issue was really good. We also get more of a story to Lady Death’s ward, Jake, and learn that there is more to him than just being an innocent human caught in Hell’s crossfire. Additionally, the storyline for Chaotica begins to expand, and makes me interested to see how the two storylines will eventually converge.
