They call me a bitch, and I own that shit... My Name is Angelica Fontaine, though I’m known to the world as Angelica Joplin, the Lead Vocalist of the Southern Rock Band Fallen Angels. I’m a fireball in a tiny package but I can carry my own and take care of myself. Have been for years now. Unfortunately, a nasty bit of binging and an overdose has gotten my mates in a bit of a tizzy landing me in rehab… Again. Now it’s all let’s talk about your feelings and why you want to kill yourself. Fuck me, it wasn’t exactly on purpose. Not totally… I’ve heard that rock bottom tastes like shit, well I’ve been served a big heaping pile of it that’s for sure. The guys say I need to finish rehab and then I need to consent to a new kind of bodyguard. They are talking a full-blown MANNY!! Somebody to watch everything I do, all the time! They can’t be serious? Can they?

"Hell in Heels" by J. Haney & S. I. Hayes
My Thoughts...
I really enjoyed reading this second book of 'Hell in Heels' by these two authors which featured Angelica [Rock Singer] and Maverick [Manny]. How these two were brought together...' a self-proclaimed Queen Bitch and a dominate Manny' [OCD Therapist/Bodyguard] was really one steamy hot story that will keep you turning the pages. Will this Manny be able to help Angelica by watching over her every step of the way after she comes out of rehab? Will, they b able to help each other in this emotional difference that is between them?
Be really for lots of drama with {omg} craziness and secrets as these two come together giving the readers a delightful as well as an entertaining story. These authors really put together quite a read which showed their magic of what it is truly like on a 'road to recovery' as it was for Angelica. In the end, the reader will get it all on Angelica background in what really made her tick and will the help of Maverick helping make her the best that she will be especially now that it seems like she has someone else who has come back into her life. Now, to truly understand all that has gone on I would suggest you read book one, two and the last book 3 to fully understand the whole series from the 'A Sex. Drugs and Rock Romance.'
Hell in Hells (A Sex, Drugs and Rock Romance Book 2)
Hell in Heels is book 2 in the A Sex, Drugs and Rock Romance series, this book is about Angelica who we kind of hated in book 1 because she is our Queen Bitch. Can she change our minds about our love hate relationship? Angelica is the lead singer of Fallen Angels and has major issues with drugs still which leads her to very destructive behaviors and near-death experience. Angelica wakes up in a hospital after her accidental overdose and is given an ultimatum from the bands label. Get clean or be replaced. Will she be able to do this again and stay clean this time? It won’t be easy, but she loves her life with the band and decides to give it a shot. As Angelica is getting closer to getting out the label hires her a live-in counsellor to keep her on the right track. Maverick is her “Manny” and he takes his job very seriously. He goes in and clears her house of everything that will get in the way of her recovery. What he doesn’t bargain for is the Queen Bitch and her attitude toward what he has planned for her treatment. He is very dominant in his job and life, will this work, or will it cause him to throw in the towel and leave. When Angelica decides to go against Mavericks wishes and puts on a naked display it turns into an attraction they both can feel. Only problem is if they act on it he will lose his job and then he will not be able to help her get better. Angelica starts to have more feelings for Maverick and feels she can trust him. She starts to divulge her past with him but soon finds out he has demons as well. The main difficulty is how can they restrain their attraction to each other and still have a professional relationship as well. Angelica’s story is a heartbreaking story that can have triggers for some when her true demons come out, but it is a rewarding story in the end. Can they help each other to deal with the things that trigger the emotional difference between them? You will find it is true opposites attract and the sexual interactions are very hot and intense with these two. Which leads Maverick to losing his job and wondering where it will leave them? Will Angelica fight for him and will they make it together? You will have to read to find out. One-Click this one and be prepared to laugh, cry, scream with frustration but in the end fall in love with the Queen Bitch and her dominant “Manny”.
This second book in the series centres around another member of the Fallen Angels Rock Band. Without proper help, some life traumas can lead to destructive behaviour.
Angelica is the lead singer of the band and this instalment sheds light on her unpleasant portrayal in the previous book.
Having taken an accidental drug overdose, Angelica is given an ultimatum by the label. Get clean or get out! Easier said than done.
Maverick is a counsellor with enough other experience to help someone like Angelica. He takes his role very seriously and doesn't leave any stone unturned. What he doesn't expect is mouthy Angelica. Their first encounter is a little dodgy but, once they've gone through this first hurdle, they come to an agreement. His treatment doesn't allow for any manipulations, not uncommon in her case. Knowing that she is being watched, she decides to put on a display, knowing that he will be upset. The effect of this display turns into attraction. A forbidden attraction. Acting on it can lose him his job.
Angelica starts to see him in a different light and feels that she can trust him. She divulges her past, something that she has never done before. His reaction is far from what she expects. They fall into a comfortable routine and she soon finds out that, he too has demons. She shows her true self that reinforces how strong she is, after everything that she has been through. The difficulty is, resisting their attraction!
Angelica's story is quite heartbreaking and her biggest secret is even more upsetting. Maverick is a tower of strength but, it turns out that despite their differences, she can help him too. It's an emotional story where, both characters have been through distressing time but cope in completely different ways. It's a captivating and emotive story. Opposites attract and the sexual interactions are hot and intense. Some of the contents might act as a trigger to some readers.

* I received an ebook from the author, but that in no way affects my review or opinion. *
This is book 2 in the series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend reading book 1 first. There is a lot of back story and the characters are all properly introduced in book 1. This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I love the drama, the cursing, and the overall realness of the books. The characters become more like friends and by the end of the book you are genuinely sad to see them go.
This book focuses on Angelica and I have to be honest, I disliked her in book 1, and at times in book 2 - but by the end I understood her and even liked her. She had a really rough start to life and one that the author goes into detail about in book 2 so it helps the reader to understand her issues, demeanor and outlook on life. We meet her "Manny" Maverick and between the two of them they create a bond that neither of them knew was possible.
This book has some triggers that may cause people to become upset, trigger anxiety or cause the reader to exhibit all types of emotions. Be prepared to laugh, cry, yell, and at times scream with frustration, but you will end up loving each and every moment of the story! The story itself is written with respect, ideas to help and with a type of caring that you can feel as you read through the pages. This is a must read series! Make sure you start with book 1, but don't miss out on this series or these authors!
Hell in Heels is book 2 in the A Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll series and while this book may be able to read as a stand a lone I would recommend reading book 1 first to get the background on the members of the band. This book picks up about where book one ends but this time tells the story of Angelica, the lead singer while she not only deals with personal issues that may ruin her career with the band but with the issue of a live in "MANNY" that is in complete control of everything she does. When you put together Angelica the self proclaimed Queen Bitch and Maverick the dominate "manny" who have a intense physical attraction, you get a hot read with some intense moments and a little comic relief. whole hell the hot and steamy scenes when they finally give in to their attraction. This is a must read!
3.5 Stars This is the second book in the series. Angelica is the lead singer of the band "Fallen Angels" and recovering drug addict. When she got out of rehab this time the music label hires a rehab "Manny" Maverick to keep her straight or else she is out. Can these two opposites find a way to overcome her addiction and find their HEA?
My only con was the book had numerous misspelled words and grammar errors.

This book by J Haney was very heart touching in its emotional highs and lows of the two main characters struggles as they help each other try to get what they each need. But oh yes, it was certainly hot reading with some very deliciously juicy sexual encounters by them as well. I enjoyed the way the characters' roles changed as the story progressed. I thought the story seemed extremely realistic and sad to say can actually be seen in many real life people's troubled lives. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
She is hell in heels. She almost dies due to her drug use. The record label sends her to rehab then they hire a man who will be there to support her and get her back to where she was before. They both try to ignore the fact that there is some chemistry between them. But it;s wow. Love the way they all come together and support each other

I loved this Rockstar Romance. The entertaining storyline is well-written, intense, with great sexy interactions and backstory. The characters are developed, flawed, must find a way to overcome past heartbreaks and on to their HEA. I was captivated by the sass. irreverent behaviors and am looking forward to more from this series.

Angelica is the proof we need that things are not alway what they seem. You dont know what someone is going thru and the way they handle it might not be the way you handle it. I love this book because we got to see the true Angelica and I love her. Maverick is just what she needs in her like and she is what he needs love it.
The one you hate to love If we are being honest I think we all went into this story hating the main character. Note really wanting to give her a chance. Then the Authors worked magic and showed us a broken soul in need and made us cheer for her. I didn't think it could happen. I am a little skeptical of how fast Maverick fell for her so I'm giving it 4.5 stars
she plays hard and rocks hard but her life is in the toilet so she is in rehab. they want me drug free and sober before they let me back into the band. now they say she need a manny who will watch everything I do, drink and even eat. how is that going to even work? she was in for it now

I really loved following along with Angelica and Maverick on their romance. The story is well written and the main characters are interesting. The only thing keeping it from five stars was that I felt Maverick needed more explanation for his feelings. I definitely recommend this book to romance lovers. I went into this book not liking the Heroine. The author told her story and redeamed her. Rough life, suprise kid. Tragic childhood. Her hired help was Dominant and bossy but I felt his weakness threw me off. I'm not a fan of weak men though. Emotions of one time are ok but eh idk. Over all I thought it a good story.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just couldn't get enough of it and once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I recommend that you read it.
Wow. This series just keeps on getting better. This book had me turning pages and saying just one more right until the end. I can't wait for the next book. A definite must read one click book.
I like this story It is well written and quite and engaging read, as the hidden secrets unfurl and love blossoms when obstacles are thrown in leads to a breathtaking conclusion.
J. Haney and S.I. Hayes has done it again with another well written novel. The characters speak to them and they know just how to place it into a book. The two authors know what the readers want to see and work together in putting the pages together for everyone.
If you like dominance, rock and craziness this is the series for you to pick up and read. I highly recommend this novel to follow the star-crossed lovers through the rest of their journey.
I highly recommend all of J. Haney and S.I. Hayes work, rather they write it together or the work they have on their own.
