Rock Candy #4

Rock Wild

Rate this book
True love is always worth going wild for…

With his rock band on hiatus, bassist Corbin Ross goes searching for the spark that once made him feel alive. He finds it in the small town of Pontmaison, Louisiana, not only in the energetic and unabashed sounds of zydeco, but in a curly-haired Cajun girl who makes him feel even more alive than the music.

Baker Aimee Bodine knows what she wants, and it’s not a musician. But when a sexy bass-playing stranger ends up staying in the same boarding house for the summer, she throws caution away for a no-strings fling. Too bad her emotions keep getting in the way.

Soon, Aimee begins to believe that temporary passion just might turns into the love of a lifetime. Then she learns the truth about her past and who Corbin really is. Now Corbin must act fast—and even a little bit crazy—to heal the heart of the woman he loves.

Corbin and Aimee’s Story was sweet and a bit more emotional than Liam and Tucker’s.

This one is my favorite from the Rock Candy Boxset.

Its ok

Well I liked the first book and felt it was more real. The second one at least he still wanted to be in the band. This book felt a little off and I was sure he was gonna quit the band. Not liking the music he made with his band felt wrong. And that's how it came across I'm not crazy about the music he turned to but just felt he had lost his love for what he did. Having the band all over the place is strange too. Gonna read the next one and hope there's more music and rock.

Corbin is on hiatus from his band and he just wants to get away. Corbin finds himself in a small town where a lot of people don't know his name. Aimee is a baker who is trying to get her own bakery. Corbin and Aimee meet and you can immediately see the chemistry between them. Aimee doesn't know who Corbin really is and Corbin loves that he can just be himself. Corbin and Aimee can't deny their attraction any longer but will Aimee forgive him when she finds out the truth?

I thought this was great read!! I was drawn in with both Corbin and Aimee's characters. Corbin just wanted to have a normal life for a little bit and found that in a small town. Aimee just wanted to open her own bakery but it seemed like there was something standing in her way. I cannot wait to read more of this series!!!

I enjoyed reading the book. The characters were well written and I think things could have moved a little quicker. Aimee was not my favorite in the book, Corbin was a nice guy. This was a good story.

While on vacation, from his world tour with Point Break, Corbin ends up replacing the bass guy in a small band for the night. He winds up in following them to small town Louisiana trying to keep his identity secret while wooing a girl. Aimee, the girl, is fiercely independent with dreams and goals, and a heart of gold. A temporary relationship during the summer should satisfy his need for a connection and her need for stress relief. They got more than they bargained for and then some. DePaul set the story in Louisiana, where accents are thick and traditions run deep and the internet is severely lacking. Corbin is not the typical rock star, anymore, and Aimee is not the small town naive bumpkin. Together they mesh completely and maybe bring a small tear to your eye for their perfection. I received an advanced copy and wrote this review voluntarily hoping to entice readers to enjoy her books.

I think this is a close 2nd for me out of the whole series. I like Liam and Abby's story best but this is definitely a close second.

Corbin is trying to get back his musical mojo and drive and enthusiasm. He ends up picking up a gig with a zydeco band. Which sidenote, I LOVE zydeco! It's so fun and the beats are just great! Anyway, Corbin picks up a gig with Bayou Beaux. He decides he will come help out for their bass player in Louisiana.

Aimee is running her uncle Daniel's bar/restaurant while his band has a gig in Texas. Suddenly there's a new bass player in the band and whoa is he hot! Aimee has sworn never to be a rockstar groupie like her mom and Corbin is part of one of the biggest bands around.

This was a great story with a total dash of Louisiana flavor! I could hear the accents and words these people were saying. It just makes me wonder what Wes' story will be and how will he get his HEA.

ARC Review: Rock Wild Rock Candy by Virna DePaul

An undercover rockstar meets his match in a saucy little vixen in spicy Louisiana. Ms. DePaul never lacks flavor in her passionate pieces of heaven. Why should Rock Wild read any different. Aimee and Corbin's course involves countless moments of soul searching, endless situations of self doubt and high levels of heart-stopping attraction. From naughty sensuality to emotional roller coaster ride, Rock Wild is a dynamic twist on the topsy - turvy fairytale of rock -n - roll love. The good, bad and unexpected keeps the dreamy of love alive.

Oh, how I loved this book!!! Corbin is sexy, hot, and has such a sweet side to him when it comes to Aimee. Aimee is an amazing heroine, who is trying not to make the same mistakes people in her past have made, and is trying to make a name for herself. I loved catching up with where some of his band mates have been, and seeing how much some of them have grown. This story is definitely a must read!!!

cute story. Corbin finishes the tour with point break and needs a break. he finds himself in a Louisiana town where he meets Aimee. he is quickly smitten and intrigued. Aimee is not looking for love, everyone in her life basically never but her first and she felt abandoned by her mother, her father that never wanted her. but their attraction is hard to ignore and soon they decide to just keep each other company for the two months he has decided to stay. she has some abandonment issues but they get through it, hitting a rough patch when she finds out who he really is. Corbin gets his happily ever after. something he didn't realize he wanted until he saw how happy his band mates are and he met Aimee. nice easy read
