Said it before and I'll say it again. I'm really liking these short stories by Jessie Lane. Sweet, to the point, and packed with lots of emotion, action, and love/lust.

This wasn't the first time I've read this author, but by far this was her best book. It was a continuation from book one and I really enjoyed this. Jenna is still on the SWAT team and ends up getting shot. Adam is beside himself with worry. It's customary for the male in the relationship to give their mate the Mark, but Jenna had promised to give Adam a Mark also. When Jenna gets shot and almost dies Adam realizes he wants a Mark also. When Jenna doesn't remember promising to give him the Mark Adams shut down on her and won't tell her what's bothering him. Well Jenna realize it in time to save their relationship?

This is book 2.5, just to warn you, this means you must read Big Bad Bite and Walk On The Striped Side before reading this one. In Big Bad Bite we got Jenna and Adam's story, about how they mated and all that jazz. Now they have been mated for a little while and for Adam something is missing. For Jenna things are fabulous and things have never been better, until she is hurt on the job. This is when Jenna realizes things aren't as happy as she thought they were. Can she fix what's wrong before its too late?
I loved this quick look into Jenna and Adam. I am so ready for Kent's story now more than ever. I give this 5 stars.

Book1.5 in the Big Bad Bite series this book is a fab short to bridge the gap between Big Bad Bite and Walk on the Striped side. Picking up on Jenna and Adams relationship and laying the foundation for what will be happening with Gage. Just 8 chapters long this is kind of a blink and you miss it read, I was that engaged in the story I didn't realise it had finished until I hit the epilogue. Oh how I wish it was longer so I had more to read. I always find shorts and novella length novels difficult to review add that to this being book 1.5 and it makes it even more difficult. An excited 4.5 stars can't wait for the next book filed with drama and humour.

Big Bad Bite Returned.
I absolutely love this series and was really disappointed back when i brought the 2nd book the series kind of just stop as the author had started on a new project. But im so wrapped that it has started up again as there are characters that need their HEA!. Cant wait for Kent and Chloe's book next and hope we finally get to read Delta's story too.

Another great addition
This short story ties the books in the series very nicely. I love getting to have a sneak peak of the characters in their downtime away from their main book. Adam is so deliciously sweet at heart and wants his mate to claim him in every way. Beautiful short story.

i really loved this. simple, easy reading, plenty of fun and plenty of action. lots of sass. great author. read all four books one after the other and they can each pretty much stand alone though there is lots to gain from reading them from the start

I was looking for a series to read while waiting not so patiently for the Honey Badger book and came across theses somehow. I love them. The are the type of shifter books I love. Not too much sex and a lot of laughs.

Short and hot
Adam sure is whiny for a big alpha male.
I was wondering how she was going to manage it. However, it all ends well for this episode.
This one will make very little sense if read alone, so at least read book one first.

Wow! Fabulous
I have differently found a new favorite author and series! You can not help but love the realistic characters and plots. The romance scenes are fabulous but due not over shadow the story or plots.

First off, I'm a huge fan of Jessie Lane's Big Bad Bite Series, and yes Jenna is my favorite! Well next to the Tigers but, I degrees. I love the interaction between her characters. There is a dynamic there that pulls everyone in close and you voluntarily hold one for the epic ride you're about to go on.
In this story we have Adam and Jenna, happily mated (or they're supposed to be) but one night while on an emergency call with her job as a SWAT officer. Jenna is shot. Her partner Kent breaks the news to Adam and of course it sends him into a tailspin. He has a total breakdown in his head because he doesn't wear his mates mark, as she had promised him.
The road to recovery for Jenna should have been easy, with her man taking care of her but that's not really the case. Adam takes care of her, but it's like a robot. She knows he's upset but he's left it up to her to figure out why.
Talk about a wtf moment. It took Jenna some serious time to figure it out. But once she did.... things go from quiet to oh, yeah baby, in no time.

Big Bad Bite Returned was a great wee read.
Following on from Big Bad Bite where we first met Adam & Jenna we find them happily mated (well ok, there was one issue bugging the big male wolf shifter - following her rant about equal opportunities when it came to the mating Mark his little she-wolf hasn't followed through on her end of the bargain!!)
I loved how he wouldn't tell her what was wrong and left if to her to work out even though it was becoming a bigger concern to the pack Alpha.
I LOVE this series and can't wait for more Big Bite paranormal fabness from Jessie Lane!
I've giving this read 4.5 big bad stars!!!

I was thrilled when I saw this was coming out. I have been waiting so long for these shifters. I loved being able to see Alpha Adam, Jenna who is the tough tenacious member of the SWAT team and even her partner the demon.
When Jenna and Kent are called out on assignment to defuse a gunman Jenna is hurt in the processes. Adam is beside himself when he realizes he could have lost her for a second time makes him want Jenna to fulfill her promise to him. However, he does not what to push her into doing what she promised but for her to decide on her own. Only problem is the longer it takes her for figure it out the more he sulks about it. Jenna is trying to heal and get better but with Adam being down right pouty about something that she is left to figure out on her own is trying.
I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I have been waiting for a certain Demon’s story and we are about to get it. This was a great re-intro to these wonderful characters and a great lead into the next book.

Jenna and Adam are back with a vengeance!
Jenna is still with the SWAT team and still the sharp shooting Annie Oakley readers remember from the first book. Only this time she ends up being shot. Adam loves his strong and independent mate, and while he knows that loves him, he is still missing his mating mark. When Jenna ends up in the hospital, it is Adam that feels the pressure of knowing that he could have lost her without having that reminder and causing anger to rise.
Jenna can’t figure out what has caused her Alpha mate to be angry with her, but he isn’t giving her any hints and he doesn’t want to discuss it until she has healed more from her injury. But Jenna is starting to feel the distance stretching between. With nothing else to do but think, she finally comes to realization of what is causing issue and knows that she needs to fix it. Time for some romance with a little bite!
BIG BAD BITE RETURNED is book 2.5 in this series and brings back Jenna and Adam, and I cannot express how happy I was to see them return. I love reading about returning characters and this story hit every happy spot that I have.

I received an earc of this story and voluntary choose to review it
This novella is one of those you really want to read to enjoy a series fully as it's more than simple bonus or side story however it's also one that must be read in order to get to most of it. We do get spoiler for book 1 and 2 and simply if you don't read at least book 1 " Big bad Bite" first it doesn't make sense.
That being said i will try to avoid as much spoiler as possible for those who are new to the story. This story focus on the main couple from the first book Jenna and Adam , though we do get news of a second couple just a bit too, and it's very strongly linked to some events in that first book .
I loved how Jenna and Adam looks to have adapted to each other in those few months and how they know and accept each other fully. It was really sweet to see. That being said if their story is sweet it sure lead to very steamy described scene so be aware of that. I did like Jenna more this time as well even if she is so stupid sometimes. Adam is simply perfect , an alpha male protective but still giving his mate a lot of freedom even to make errors and still being loyal and loving.
Jenna is confronted to a killer during a mission and is hurt which makes everyone think about the situation. I really appreciated to see Kent, her partner, reaction to the events and i do want to discover more about it ( i do wonder what a certain bet was for example)

If you are a fan of Jessie Lane’s Big Bad Bite series this is a must read but I do recommend reading the first two books in this series first.
Big Bad Bite Returned is a quick look into what is happening with Adam and Jenna. They are happily mated, until Jenna goes to work and gets shot. He never made her doubt his love. The ah-ha moment for Jenna was perfect. Her fix to the problem was hot, sexy, and full of love.

Jessie Lane’s writing is as flawless as ever, and this was another sweet and sexy short story, with some action.
I like to revisit characters. Adam especially is a favorite of mine. Maybe because what you see is what you get. He’s down to earth, though he does play the jaded, hurt alpha in this book--not speaking his mind and just saying what’s wrong, making Jenna worry over what she did wrong while she’s recovering from a bullet wound. Asshat.
Really too short to say much more about it, except that it's a fun read and gets you excited for more in the series.

I received an ARC for an Honest review. I was able to read book 1 BIG BAD BITE; however due to time I had to put down book 2 WALK ON THE STRIPPED SIDE so I cannot say with clarity if book 2 is a must read before this one.

Jenna still holds her day Job even though she is now mated to Alpha Adam. However something isn't quite right. One of the two is living in blissful peace thinking their relationship has skyrocketed while their mate is not as happy.
It takes a near death experience for the other to realize something is wrong. Will this tragedy be able to pull the pair closer or did it come a little to late to repair the unknown damage?
I do intend to finish book 2 and I am definitely looking forward to digging my claws into what is next to come.
Another solid read by Jessie, I absolutely felt this had more storyline and less filler than book 1, leaving me to give a higher rating.

Another solid read by Jessie, I absolutely felt this had more storyline and less filler than book 1, leaving me to give a higher rating.

Jenna and Adam are back with a bang! Jenna still has her day Job even though she is now mated to Adam. However there is something off. Jenna is hurt in the line of work and Adam realizes he could have lost her for a second time.

We get to come back and visit Adam and Jenna, and Adam is still crazy for his wkman as ever, “never. Killing you would defeat my master plan of effing you stupid every day.” I loved catching up with Adam and Jenna and seeing what they were up to.
