So, I ended up binging all of the previous 8 volumes just to get to this point again. I forgot the rollercoasters this series goes on, but after the first two volumes set the tone, it actually has some peculiar worldbuilding too. I'm pretty invested at this point... The only thing that COULD stop me is what stopped me the first time, that being that it wasn't translated yet, but I intend to persevere.
This volume itself was mostly just short stories, but it's a nice change of pace since you hardly to get to know some of the characters otherwise. In a very unfair comparison, it reminds me a lot of reading King, where new faces are introduced in a handful of paragraphs and discarded just as quickly. I think this series could use more establishing background material like this in the normal arcs themselves, but better late than never? Marika's short story, Primula Farinosa, was actually very endearing, I read it a few times over before moving on.
Please don't judge me, I swear for a light novel it's actually pretty go- what's that sword for? Wait a se-
I wish I was a magical girl in this universe. I’m aware of the obvious downsides to that, but I can’t help it. I would like to see another boy who can turn into a magical girl like La Pucelle. This series is up your alley if you like/d Madoka Magica. Enjoy :)
