Crystal Kaswell is the author of the Sinful Serenade series. She writes steamy new adult romance with flawed characters. She loves police procedurals, tea, and The Hunger Games series. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙🖤❤️💚💖 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍 Character development: 😟🤭😤😘🥰
The heroine:Bella - she is the good girl in her family, the intelligent one. She has always excelled at everything. She attended Harvard and got great grades and got into Columbia law school. Though after just one semester, she got her grades back and they were all C’s. That is like failure to her, who always has to be perfect. So, she heads to Las Vegas to blow off some steam and to forget about her life in New York.
The Hero:Joel - he is the drummer for the rock band Dangerous Noise. They are famous, but not ultra famous. He is often recognized as a celebrity and has 3 or 4 million dollars, but his band is still up and coming. Their next tour starts in about 3 months, and they will be the opening act to a really big-name band. He loves women and has a lot of one-night stands, but most of the women only want to say they had a night with The Joel Young of Dangerous Noise, they don’t want to know him.
The Story: When Joel finds out that his parents are getting a divorce, he heads to Las Vegas to try to get that news out of his head. Though he doesn’t want the same kind of woman he usually picks up. When he sees the strait-laced Bella, with her nerdy glasses, her hair in a tight bun and her sexy pencil skirt, he is immediately attracted to her curves and thinks she is beautiful. They have a wild night of drinking, dancing and they get married on a whim.
When they wake up the next morning, Joel knows they have a connection and he wants to stay married, yet Bella thinks there is no way she can stay married to a man she just met yesterday and married while she was drunk. Though since Joel’s attorney is on vacation for Christmas, they have to wait a week to get a divorce. Bella agrees to go home to Venice Beach with Joel, and they spend that time getting to know each other.
I liked both main characters from the start. They both had some deep-seated issues, that they didn’t talk about with anyone, so I really liked it when they started opening up with each other. I could really feel the connection between these two and I could feel how much they wanted to stay married to each other, though they were afraid of getting hurt if one of them fell deeply in love and the other didn’t. I also loved the fact that they both decided early on that they wanted to take the chance even if they did get hurt in the process.
The one thing I didn’t like about this book was that some of the conversations seemed over my head. I often had to look back to see if I was missing something because I was reading too fast, but I never was. I don’t know if it is just her writing style, or if she got lost between what the characters were thinking and what they were actually saying out loud, but some of the conversations seemed to jump topics and I didn’t know what they were actually talking about. It made me feel dumb, which I generally am not. I have my MBA and always got straight A’s in school, so I don’t think it was me, but who knows.
Bella has decided to go to Las Vegas to run away from her problems, she feels like a failure & doesn't want to deal with any of it. She finds herself wanting to shed her good girl imagine & to be bold & have some fun. Joel the drummer from the Dangerous Noise rock group has fled to Las Vegas to runaway from trouble news he received from his parents earlier in the day. The usual 'always happy' Joel found himself at a lose for making jokes this time around when his parents share they're divorcing. Joel is drinking at a bar & isn't interested in any of the willing young ladies hitting on him because he is famous. He immediately notices & is drawn to Bella when she enters the bar because she looks more like she is ready for a business meeting with her attire & her hair in a bun than at a bar to have a fun night. Bella starts to loosen up when she begins to drink with Joel & they are getting along really well for two strangers. Joel especially enjoys that Bella seems to like being around him just for who he as a man & not because he is a famous rock god. The next morning, Bella wakes not remembering much of anything from the night before but she finds herself in bed with Joel. When she notices the wedding ring on her left hand, she tries not to panic. Joel is disappointed that Bella cannot remember their night together but manages calm her down. When they talk later they both decide to head back to LA & wait for Joel's lawyer to get back to town so he can handle their divorce. But what can happen in a week's time? Will Joel be able to tell Bella he doesn't want a divorce? Will Bella be able to let go enough to see what is right in front of her?
In this installment of the Dangerous Noise series we get to know Joel, the drummer, & Bella. When they meet, they're both hurting & wanting desperately to forget about what life has presently dished up. Bella has spent most of her life escaping her feelings with destructive behavior. While Joel has spent all of his life using humor to make everything easy to deal with. They find a comfortable rapport with one another & begin to enjoy being together. But Bella needs to decide what she wants to do with her life. One thing is for certain, when Joel & Bella come together the sparks fly & they fly hot! This book is meant for mature readers.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
This is a story of Bella and Joel wherein Bella is just an ordinary law student, and Joel is a famous rock star. One night, they’ve met in LA and on the next morning, they have found themselves married to one another.
The plot is not unfamiliar to me. I’ve already read some books where the characters will have one night stand then they will just wake up only to find out that they were already married to one another. But, I still read this book, hoping to experience something more aside from that common starting scene on some similar novels.
The characters are fine with me, and I can say that they were really suited to one another. They both have flaws, but it was immediately covered when they were together.
Bella always has the good girl image, but when she finds herself falling in her school, she decided to come out of her shell. I adore her for being courageous on trying something daring and bold. For me, it’s not wrongdoing it, especially if doing so will make you brave enough to face the obstacles in your life. I’m also happy to know that she’s a Potterhead and it makes me feel connected to her more.
Joel, on the other hand, is a very famous rock star and he is the drummer on their band. He is the kind of guy who always makes sure to put jokes on things even if it’s not going well.
I just don’t like it when the characters were always having steamy bed scenes on every chapter because it’s distracting and it’s making me lose interest in the book. I also noticed that on the first few parts, the chapters were very short and it feels like it was rushed so I suggest to the author to make it longer and put more interesting facts or scenes about the characters that will develop them more rather than those sex scenes.
Overall, this is a nice story of finding your better half by an unexpected event. I am recommending this book to romance and mature readers.

Bella met Joel at a bar. They got hammered. Then they got married. Mazel tov! Then they agreed to get divorced a week later, once the lawyer got back from vacation.
At first, I wasn't sure what to think of this set-up, but as I read on, and the one-week deadline loomed, I found myself really rooting for Joel and Bella to find their happiness, hopefully with each other!
I loved that Joel helped Bella come out of her shell in some respects, and kept that shell firmly in place in other areas, specifically her love of Harry Potter. The efforts he went to were so endearing, and again, I couldn't wait for the final scene to see what happened at the meeting with the lawyer!
I liked catching up with other members of Joel's band, Dangerous Noise, and I'm looking forward to getting an update on Bella and Joel in Mal's story! (I can't WAIT for Mal's story!!!)

Two wandering souls + a Vegas wedding chapel = one hot accidental marriage!
Joel needs something to take his mind off of his parents' upcoming divorce. Determined to spend the night in the arms of a willing woman, he makes his way to a Las Vegas nightclub. Yet, the women who approach him just don't feel like the right solution. They only want a piece of the rock star and not the real "him". That is, until he spots Bella.
Bella shouldn't be here. She's dressed for an office and not a club. But after receiving some mediocre grades for her first semester of law school, she needs a break. A big one. Something to distract her from the disaster situation that she's found herself in. A handsome stranger with a dazzling smile and dirty mouth sounds like the perfect cure.
But after several rounds of drinks, some rubbing on the dance floor, and a trip to a chapel, Joel and Bella wake up with rings on their fingers and a whole new set of problems. One wants to chalk this up to fate and give it a real shot. The other knows the end is inevitable. So which one will prove right in the end? After seven days, our couple will have a tough choice to make.
This book was a steamy ride! I'm used to rock star romances featuring wild and crazy rockers with a filthy vocabulary and love of the spotlight. Joel fits this stereotype perfectly. However, there is a softness to him from the beginning that I could easily appreciate. He wants more than just meaningless flings and truly believes that Bella entered his life for a reason.
Bella was just as easy to connect with. She had insecurities about her future that she's always been able to hide behind her ambitious personality. But being with Joel helps her to see that life is full of surprises and sometimes you just have to go with the flow and see where it takes you. I could see her opening up as the story progressed.
The love scenes were hot, no lie. And there were lots of them. I didn't find myself skimming them, which is a good thing. There is plenty of variety here to keep it interesting and a good amount of emotion woven into the intimacy. It isn't just two young people having fun. There is a real budding romance happening between our couple. Could the sex scenes have been limited more? Sure. Do I think there were too many? Almost. But our couple was in their honeymoon stage and crazy hormones are to be expected.
In closing... A steamy rocking romance that definitely left me wanting to check out the rest of the series. Four suns!
This is a spin-off of Crystal’s other rock star series, Sinful Serenade. Even though, the Sinful guys do make appearances in this series too, it’s not necessary to read their stories too. Each of the four main books in this series are standalones. However, the entire series involve all the members of the Dangerous Noise band and thus, you’ll meet most of the characters in each book even as secondary characters. So, while it’s not necessary to read all the books, I’d recommend it to avoid spoilers and in order to connect with them all.
What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there!
Dangerous Noise’s drummer, Joel, needs to take his mind of life and where does one do that best? In the city of sin. Las Vegas is a great place to get drunk and for Joel to leave all his troubles behind. When Bella receives some bad grades from her first semester at law school she, too, needs to leave reality behind and let her hair down. As it turns out, a stunning stranger might just be exactly what Bella needs. Joel and Bella share several rounds of drinks, some bump and grind on the dance floor and a trip to one of Vegas’ many wedding chapels. When they awake the next day, with the rings on their fingers, Joel sees it as fate, but Bella knows it can’t last. The couple have seven days to figure it all out, before their annulment hearing.
Bella tries to hide her insecurities behind her professionalism, but Joel helps her see that life is what happens while she was busy making plans and together they learn to embrace the unknown. I absolutely love both of these characters, as a couple as well as individuals, so I was rooting for them all the way through the book. Joel and Bella are incredibly easy to connect with and while there is some drama, I loved that there wasn’t a lot of angst and stupid misunderstandings.
The plot is very straight forward, and ticks off all the boxes needed for these kinds of books: Boy meets girl instant attraction They get to know each other But oh no, complications arise and misunderstandings/secrets are blown out of proportion Someone is sorry HEA
So, don’t get your hopes up – this is not a new spin on that.
Dangerous Rock was my first read by Crystal Kaswell. I was intrigued by the blurb, and I decided to give this new-to-me author a try. The plot has been done before, but frankly I have no issue with that. It all depends on the author’s creativity, writing style and ability to inject emotions in her narrative.
When Joel Young, the drummer of the up-and-coming rock band “Dangerous Noise”, runs across Bella Chase at a Vegas club, he is seduced by her sweetness and inexperience. She is so different from his usual one-night stands. Bella just wants to have fun and forget her problems. The next morning, she wakes up married to him and can’t remember a thing about their rushed nuptials. And yet, Joel seems glad.
At first sight, Bella and Joel are an unlikely pairing, she is an uptight law student, he is a rock star. Bella wants a swift dissolution of their marriage but Joel decides that they should take some time to make up their mind and consider if they are meant for each other.
Bella has a complicated relationship with her father, she feels she will never be good enough for him. He is a talented lawyer and expects her to follow his path. But Bella doesn’t know what she wants out of her life. She enjoys being around Joel, he lives in the moment, is bold, confident and at peace with himself. And even if they did things out of order, their connection is genuine. Despite the media frenzy, they live in their happy bubble, without pretense and focusing on their relationship. Joel’s authenticity makes Bella feel comfortable. Their chemistry is off-the-charts hot. I found that the sexy scenes were a bit repetitive, though, to the point that I lost interest in the story at times. Although I loved the characters, I wanted more plot development and somes scenes felt rushed.
Overall, this book was an entertaining and sexy story of finding love unexpectedly, with sweet positive characters. I’m a sucker for rock star romances and I will definitely check out the other books in the Dangerous Noise series.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author and Xpresso Book Tours.
Joel the drummer from Dangerous Noise just found out his parents are getting a divorce and Bella just discovered she’s getting all C’s in law school. Both go to Vegas to blow off steam and are immediately attracted to one another after sharing a night together the two of them impulsively get married. Joel at first wants to make it work to prove a point and invites Bella to stay with him for the week. During the week they spend together the two of them grow closer and really like one another. I really loved this book and both characters Joel and Bella. They were opposites that just complimented each other perfectly. Joel was a goofy but great guy who was the life of the party. Bella was the good girl always out to please others but together they challenged the other to be stronger and go for what they wanted.
What I thought might be the best turned out the worst.
Joel's in Vegas and meets Bella there and intends a one night stand, but they end up married. It's all about how he deals with his parents divorce and how she comes to grips with her issues which are numerous -- cutting, failing out, parental pressure.
Little drama here. She has a hard time telling Joel about herself, but does. What fails to get resolved is what happens once she tells dad that she's not returning to law school and staying married to Joel. WE NEVER SEE IT. Also, cutting is a serious issues and is basically IGNORED. It's a disservice to people who do this to themselves. Why include it??
They say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but for rock star Joel Young that couldn't be further from the truth as an unexpected attraction to a woman full of uncertainties has him making a life-altering decision. With the clock ticking on their time together he and Bella find themselves growing closer as hard truths rise to the surface amidst hours of decadent delights. When time runs out they'll have to decide if what they have is real or will they walk away full of regrets?
Joel grew up thinking his life was perfect but the cracks in his parent's marriage soon started to weigh on him. To cope he made sure to keep a smile on his face while making everyone around him laugh. You can ignore the truth as long as you're the life of the party, but the truth soon becomes painfully clear. His pain sends him to Vegas and straight into the arms of a woman who wants him only for himself. When in Bella's arms he doesn't have to put on a show. In her arms he likes the man he slowly becomes and with their time together running out he grows ever more reluctant to let her go. Joel's a sexy beast with a heart full of gold. He's a master at dirty talk and revels in getting Bella outside her comfort zone which makes their time together even more erotically-charged. He likes taking care of her and his greatest joy is in making her happy which is immensely endearing. He's ultimately a larger than life hero who made me smile while making me blush and readers will find him the quintessential book boyfriend as they get a deeper look into the man behind the rock god facade.
Bella Chase has always been the good girl. While her sister was rebelling she was the dutiful daughter succeeding at all she tried. The pressure's gotten to be too much though, leading to hurtful behavior and dissatisfaction. On the cusp of failing for the first time ever she escapes to Vegas and meets a man who is unlike any she's met before. Joel introduces her to living, grasping joy when it's offered, along with freeing her from her inhibitions for a few hours. In the morning light she's shocked by all she's done but not ready to let him go. With a week to decide her future she gets to know Joel better and becomes a stronger woman in his arms. He entices her to live life to the fullest which has them making numerous erotic memories together. He breaks down her walls through his unconditional support which has her revealing hard truths that ultimately empower her. She was a bit lost at the start of the story, uncertain of herself and her future and full of self-doubts, but by the end she was woman...and you could hear her roar.
This was a fun and flirty romance with a bit of emotional depth as both Joel and Bella carried some baggage. His was hidden behind a playful facade while hers left its scars on her arms. Together though there was a no-bullshit agreement that had both of them opening up to the other in a connection full of heart and soul. Theirs was a sensual romance full of decadent delights but with a palpable feeling of angst knowing that their time together is coming to an end with a single signature. That gave the story a frantic feel as they had a lot of living and loving to do before their week ended which had me holding on tight as their relationship progressed. Along with watching this entertaining and likable couple scorch up the sheets readers get to reacquaint themselves with the rest of the men of Dangerous Noise. These men are like brothers with their playful and mocking banter and their scenes together brought a smile to my face. For those already paired up their interactions were sweet and sexy, but for single singer Mal there was a look of longing for what the others had. From start to finish this was a sexy and carefree story that readers will find themselves captivated by and I'm looking forward to what comes next!
Dangerous Rock is the first book by Crystal Kaswell that I've read and it seems to me she takes the standard "what happens in Vegas" premise and creates a unique story line. This has the bad boy rocker and opposites attract themes done up in it's own style. It's all about completely endearing characters, great dialogue and a sweet and sexy connection.
When Joel and Bella hook up for a one night stand, it's so that Joel can feel like he's helping this poor pent up girl, and Bella is doing it with the intent of simply escaping the pressures of Law school. Neither could ever have anticipated anything more coming from this night of fun and a bit of sin in sin city. Kaswell establishes a timeline giving Joel and Bella an expiration date. They get 1 week together and then it's done. It's simple right?
I was completely sucked into to both characters. I loved them equally. They are flawed in their own ways, but are two of the most accepting people that either of them have met. Joel could be secretive about his bad habits, but he's forthcoming save some family history. Bella herself is hiding things from Joel, but it's more a matter of when they will share certain truths. The trust is just there, they just need some time. For Bella, she's got some confidence issues but Joel has a way of making Bella feel courageousness and the desire to just be herself, if only she knew exactly what that means.
What kept me so engaged in this story is the banter and easy connection these two share. Plus, well it really is a super sexy read. This is the kind of story that you simply feel the characters falling in love, becoming a part of each others lives. The drama is low and the pace of the story is just right. I found it hard to put away, but then happy I had it to go back to. Kaswell has made a Dangerous Noise groupie out of me. 5 Stars and recommendation
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Unless you end up married to a rock star. It was just a thing. Bella wanted to let loose for one night. Joel was just the person to help her do it. But what happens when the rock star doesn't want to end the quickie marriage? Bella tries to get away and go back to her normal life, but Joel isn't having any of it. Loved seeing Joel fall in love. And as always you get little glimpses of the rest of the band.
This book is in my top 5 of all time favorites. Joel and Bella are beautiful together and the way Joel loves Bella for who she is despite not knowing what she wants out of life is amazing. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed with these characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
So I've been reading the Crystal Kaswell series in the wrong order, so I actually met future Joel talking about Bella when reading Tempting. Finally getting to their story was very exciting. It could have been super cliche Vegas wedding, but it's sweet, way sexy, and you a more mature side of Joel that you know exists, but have rarely seen. I also love Bella - how her perfectionism, type a personality is illustrated and the resulting stress - as well as her bookish obsessions - hits close to home. I keep having such respect for how Kaswell addresses such issues and shows them as more common/acceptable because although they may create unhealthy situations people do deal with such things (and internalizing) frequently. Its comforting to be able to relate to characters and makes them seem that more realistic.
I absolutely loved this book! If you've read the previous books( if you haven't you are missing out) you'll see that each book tells the story of the members of an up and coming rock band called Dangerous Noise. This book centers around Joel, the funny, hot as sin drummer. I was so happy to finally read Joel's story. Joel's flies to Las Vegas to forget his troubles and lose himself in Sin City. He sees Bella in a night club and is instantly drawn to her. Bella is also troubled and at a crossroads about her professional career. Although they are complete opposites on the surface, we see that they have so much in common. I love how Joel encourages her to find what makes her happy. And when Crystal Kaswell writes the scenes describing how Joel plays his drums with such passion, I could literally picture myself at their show! I have to say that this was seriously one sexy book. I actually think this one was sexiest in the series and it was smoking hot! I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in this series..Dangerous Fling. I received an advanced copy of Dangerous Rock and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I have been a big fan of Crystal Kaswell since I first downloaded one of her Sinful Serenade books for free on Amazon. It then led to me having to download and read the rest in the series because I loved her writing so much. I have to say that this book did not disappoint at all! What I like about Kaswell's books is that even though they may be part of a series, you can pick them up at any book and still get into them. While this is book three in the series, all that happens from me starting here, is that I know I need to now go back and find out how the other couples, that are the other band members, got together. I want to fall in love with those characters, even if some of them already were wonderful in this book that wasn't even their story.
I swear to the gods, these books are like crack, or Pringles; you just can't stop once you pop. This one was better than the last one. It had a pretty good meet-cute (although basically cribbed from the superior Lick). The couple suited each other quite well, but I thought the whole deadline for the divorce meeting was kind of silly. They clearly liked/loved each other, I don't understand why one of them didn't speak up. And I'm pretty sure you can't get a divorce in California in just one session with your lawyers. And the was a bit over the top.
I liked the premise, the main characters, and most of the storyline of this book--right up to the ending, and then I was disappointed.
Spoiler alert: This is a romance, so of course the hero and heroine stay together for their happily-ever-after. Right up until the end, both of them were hesitant to speak up, but she finally takes a chance and asks to speak to him at the divorce meeting and even then, he's encouraging her to go through with it, telling her that she'll be fine. She ends up being the one to take all of the risks--speaking up, giving up her life, swallowing her pride, while he happily but passively accepts it. I like more boldness and strength from my heroes.
Joel's always the upbeat member of Dangerous Noise. He finds himself in Vegas to escape. He's not feeling so upbeat. Looking for an escape in booze and sex, but instead he meets Bella looking for her own escape in Vegas. It involves the booze and the sex but he also finds himself wanting to make Bella happy. Which ends up involving their Vegas marriage. The decision is made for them to wait on the divorce and during that wait Joel hopes she decides to stay. Steamy, sweet, witty, all our favorite cast of characters in Dangerous Noise. And a very happy ever after. They both have their angst but they journey to the happy.
I liked how it started and I definitely like this one more than Dangerous Kiss. Somehow, by the end, it fell flat. But I loved Kit and Piper so much more now! I’m not sure if I want to read Mal’s story but maybe I will. I’m really not fond of that guy.
They only true way to sum it up is to say how sorry I am that it ended. I have read all of Crystal Kaswell "Sinful Serenade" and now her "Dangerous Noise" series is stealing my heart. Her writing draws you in and makes it hard to put it down. If I did not have to work the book would of been done in a day. Needless to say I am a big fan!
Dangerous Rock is about Joel the drummer of Dangerous Noise and Bella. It's a story about two people who are flawed and trying to show the world they are not. Joel is the 'I am always happy' guy making everybody smile, while Bella is the perfect good girl pleasing everybody by being who they think she is. They meet at a time when they are both lost and hurting and needing to find strength in someone who sees them and accepts it even though they think it's just about forgetting the pain in that moment and finding pleasure.
Joel goes to Las Vegas after finding out his parents are divorcing and happy about it. He is angry and hurt and does not understand how either of them is responding to this decision. He wants to just forget and in pure rocker style getting drunk and getting a woman's legs wrapped around him. But to his surprise when that presents itself it's not what he wants when he sees Bella. She is standing there out place with here business style dress and her hair in a tight bun, she just seems out a place and she is not happy. There is a sadness, an awkwardness to her. He is determined to help her since he can not help his parents.
Bella is feeling like her whole life is falling apart. She is going to let everyone she loves down because she is a failure. She heads from her uptight New York upbringing and head to Vegas to be the woman no one knows and to be the woman who is bold and has nothing but fun. With a little to much alcohol encouragement she lets herself get lost to what her body craves and even though she is nervous and awkward she follows her needs.
Only one problem they wake up after a night of lustful sex and happiness and find themselves married. One happy and one a little more than freaked out and wondering how that happened. You will have to read the story to find out.
This is a story of two people fighting their own demons of truly being vulnerable and asking for acceptance for who they are not who they pretend to be. Figuring out what they want and who they truly are by pushing each others limits. As always you share in the joy of finding that extended family with the other members of the band and seeing the love and support they have for each other.
If you want some laughs, and some tears and some very hot weak in knees moments, run, don't walk to grab this story and if you haven't read any I promise a wonderful start with her "Sinful Serenade" series Sing Your Heart Out....by the time your able to put your hands on this one you will be in love!
I voluntarily offered my review for an advanced copy of this book!

Dangerous Rock Dangerous Noise #3 Krystal Kaswell ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was such a great story. I literally loved every page, every word. If you want a gritty, dirty, sexy and heart warming rock star story this one is for you.
Hot dummer of Dangerous Noise, Joel Young has hit up Las Vegas for a weekend of women and alcohol. He needs to dim the personal trauma happening with his family….
1st year law school student, Bella Chase has a weekend in Las Vegas planned to commiserate her term results. Their good girl, all glasses, hair buns and a body made for sin, decides doing shots with a stranger is a good idea… Everything always sounds like a good idea, until the next morning, when her left had feels really heavy and there’s a man sleeping next to her… Yep, Bella and Joel pull of he Vegas wedding. Their wedding night was HoT… With the uncomfortable next morning, so many questions in the air, it is clear that what Joel and Bella share is something special. Crazily deciding to give their marriage a week before moving into divorce and a hot, sexy week it will be.
Moving into Joel’s beachfront property Bella tries unsuccessfully to live in Joel’s rockstar world. He’s sexy, tattooed, paparazzi loved and well could have any woman he desired, she struggles with why he would want her – the damaged law school failure and up tight woman. As each day arrives, this pair will singe your hands. Their chemistry is so freaking hot, I need a fan. Joel’s dirty mouth, that talented tongue, and his fingers well they’re made for music, both in a stadium and in the bedroom. He opens Bella’s eyes to the opportunity to follow what she wants, nit what her father wants… In a crazy 7 days all wounds on both sides will be opened up, truths be spoken, sex will be prevalent, but the fact that D word keeps coming up, neither wants to say what they feel, and it’s not until they’re in the Company of lawyers do they speak up. Before it’s to late, Bella comes clean, opening up a whole new world, really married to a rock god…
Joel & Bella are so different, but compliment each other so well. They both hide in different ways. They understand each other and call each other on the bullshit. Their romance was a whirlwind in the beginning and then a tantalizing build. It was definitely backwards, but it worked for them. It was fun to nerd out about Harry Potter with Bella. I’m pretty sure I was smiling bigger than she was half the time. I find it hilarious that she thinks she’s too old for Harry Potter at 22, but in reality Harry Potter’s biggest fan base is older than that. I read the books as they were released. As the movies came out, I was around the characters ages in each film. I literally grew up with them. At almost 29, I’m still an obsessive HP fan. I’ll never be too old. My Ravenclaw husband is a fan as well, though he’s nowhere near my level. I relate to Bella’s nerdy bookish side best, but I’m a Gryffindor. Even though I’m an introvert, I’m not shy. I’m outgoing and laugh more than anyone I know, so I get Joel too. Maybe that’s why I felt like they mixed so well. I am a little bit like both of them.
Quick Info Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone Part of a Series?: Yes ---------------------------------- Meeting the Characters Isabella Chase/ Bella Joel Young Mal Ethan Piper ---------------------------------- What happens? Bella and Joel meet in Las Vegas both running from feelings and hiding behind flirting and alcohol. They wake in the morning and they're married. Joel remembers and was more of a willing participant than her whereas Bella doesn't remember it and wants to divorce. They can't meet with Joel's lawyers for a week. This is basically a book set in a week that feels longer. Final thoughts I really enjoyed this one. This book is set over a short length but its a good feeling because you don't miss anything. There is sex, there is passion and there is flriting. They don't have a big downer its always up and a good feeling its more the whole do they love each other going through their minds. This may be my favourite book in this series but I'm really looking forward to Mal's story. Would I read again?: Yes Would I read this author again?: Yes
