Jeremy Greymont certainly qualifies. Sex rough and women loose is his credo—one he’s always taken seriously, with no deference whatsoever to the society into which he was born. Perfectly content milling along through life existing on courtesans and fine Scotch whisky...that is until his grandfather lets him know he’s out of time.
His station in life comes with duties attached. Jeremy must produce an heir—posthaste. Lucky for him, the lovely Georgina is the perfect answer to his predicament and intrigues him like no other woman before her.
Jeremy can’t wait to make her his lady and begin working on creating that heir he needs so badly. He’s even willing to tone down his preference for the wild romps he’s always enjoyed in the bedchamber, just for her sake. There will be plenty of time to teach his innocent bride all about that after the wedding, right?
No, not even close. Georgina’s demons trump his in so many ways. A brutal assault has left her wounded and vowing she can be wife to no man—not even Jeremy Greymont.
What is a libertine to do?
Georgina...I am so entangled in thoughts of you I could not find my way out if ever I desired. —JEREMY GREYMONT
Raine Miller has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland book at the tender age of thirteen. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop, because now she writes them too! Granted Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking, a hot, sexy hero never goes out of fashion. A former teacher, she's now writing sexy romance stories full time. She has a handsome prince of a husband, two brilliant sons, and two bouncy Italian Greyhounds to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. Her sons know she likes to write stories, but gratefully have never asked to read any, thank God! Raine loves to hear from readers and to chat about the characters in her books. ★★★★★! The Undoing of a Libertine, Prequel #2. Erotic journey as Baron Jeremy Greymont sets out seduce Georgina!
The Blackstone Affair and Rothvale Legacy’s historical prequels introduce us to the Rothvale’s, Greymont’s and Rourke’s and their homes in Somerset England. All of which will play a part in the contemporary series.
I read this several years back not realizing its connection to the Blackstone Affair. Thanks Ms. Miller for telling me about it.
Hallborough Estate, Somerset England, fall 1837. SIR JEREMY GREYMONT: 30 years/Baron/Heir/$$$$/Light brown hair/Blue eyes. GEORGINA: 21 years/Gold-blond hair/Amber eyes.
The Undoing of a Libertine is the epic love saga of libertine Jeremy Greymont and Georgina.
Ordered to take a wife and procure an heir he sets his eyes on the lovely Georgina. His goal is to appease his grandfather while teaching his wife his wayward carnal ways in the bedroom. In other words Sir Greymont is kinky and he hopes to corrupt the young Georgina.
But Georgina is broken and damaged where Jeremy’s seduction is not going to be enough. The story goes on to follow him wooing and seducing her, while she tugs at his libertine heart. An erotic journey of coming to terms in one’s past.
The concept behind this historical romance is solid, but the execution was very weak. I thought the characters were really inconsistent. Jeremy started out as a shallow manwhore, constantly ruminating on the contents of his pants, then he quickly became lovestruck and honorable when he saw Gina. Mr. Russell, Gina's father, was a close minded abusive monster, then he suddenly became remorseful and full of parental love and protectiveness. Nah, didn't buy that.
The first 40 pages were a very dull re-iteration of what is in the publisher's summary for the book. The middle was not bad, where Jeremy and Gina are building a relationship. Then, at about the 75% mark, Gina's character came undone, she became an idiot and she did the stupidest thing imaginable for a woman living in that time. I was trying to give this author a chance since I haven't read her books before but I closed the book at that point.

It's very easy to lose yourself within the words of a book, especially if the book is Raine Miller's. I finished this book a week ago and tried and tried to compose a review that I felt justified this story. Many times, I wanted to squeal and swoon at the same time. Other times, I had to set my kindle to the side and gain composure of myself. I found it very hard to concentrate doing my daily tasks as I dwelled upon the chapter I had finished. I absolutely did not find one single thing about this book I did not like. I loved being taken back in history. I loved Jeremy Greymont. I loved how he treated his Gina. I loved her wit. Truly, I loved everything. I have recommended it to many of my friends and family and I will continue to do so. I have a small selection of books I will read multiple times and this one is definitely one of them. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Miller has in store for us next.
Who wouldn't want a man who would try to change everything about himself all for the love and safety of the woman he loves?
I was gifted this book by the author as a winner of the “Shh… Holiday GIFT Drawing 2016!”. A special thanks to this author but also all the other authors gifting books in that GiveAway as well as a thanks to the amazing team which organized it.
Another wonderful story in this historical series by Raine Miller. It has been some time since I read an historical by I loved both books in this series.
This is a wonderful story of love, trust, caring, survival and another wonderful hero to fall in love with.
En realidad es 2.5 los protas fueron predecibles y la historia no me gustó tanto. De hecho... Me acabo de dar cuenta que es la misma autora de Naked y bueno... Esos libros NO ME GUSTARON NADA. Pero para gustos...
good read, pretty angsty and sexy 🔥Jeremy Greymont is a nice but slutty type of rake. He falls almost instalove with Georgina. But she is traumatized by a violent assault. The book deals with the aftermath and Jeremy using his magic wand 🪄🪄😘 to make it better heh heh. They are married and J is no longer a rake😇😇 The bad guy gets it in a really nasty explicit way. That he deserves, of course. fini *Georgina’s drama was hard and should carry a trigger warning.

This was my first book by Raine Miller and I really enjoyed it. The story was really good as were the character's. The hero said some really sigh worthy things to the heroine. It took a while for the heat to turn up but once it did, WOW! The heroine did have one TSTL moment near the end but I could understand why she would have done it. I might have done the same thing too, LOL. Of course we get the HEA in the end that wrapped this book up nicely for me.
I really do need to check out some other of Raine Miller's book's in the future.
the undoing of a libertine!!!! what a great story!
opening sentence...
"A proper blow always felt nice. Satisfying as hell, he thought. And he’d needed it. Badly. As usual, the sex played out just the way he liked—driving at full hop and more on the rough side of things than not."
i think i did a double take when i read this...seriously...i had to reread this! and then i laughed...yes, Ms. Miller, you have my attention!
And a few pages later this... "“You’d have to curb that whore-pipe of yours mind you. She is my sister after all. I don’t know how well she’d take to your proclivities—”"
I loved everything about this historical romance. This is a story about Jeremy who is a bit of a man-whore! lol He needs to find a wife and have an heir for his family.
He meets Georgina, the sister of a friend. He decides it is her he wants...but she doesn't give in willing.
Her traumatic past is haunting her..she feels she is not worthy wife or lover.
The more time they spend together, the more he wants her and the she starts to feel safe, learning how love should be between and man and a woman.
Georgina resists as much as she can...she has alot of pressure from her father to marry. his first choice is less than stellar and really is her only option until jeremy comes along.
jeremy recognizes this option of hers as a very bad one....he wants to rescue her, in doing so, he falls for her.
Ms. Miller creates characters that i fell in love with! they are strong but have weaknesses that you can relate to! The woman are very strong, which i love...nothing worse than a wimpy leading female character!
i like Jeremy is friends with Darius and Marianne from her other novella "his perfect passion". I love how she intertwines her characters into other stories..gives us more of the characters we already know!
If you loved Ms. Millers recent work Naked and All In, then you will love her historical romances just as much!!!!
The Undoing of a Libertine is the second historical written by Raine Miller. Set in 1837 England, the story revolves around Jeremy Greymont, a self-indulgent Libertine who must find a wife so that he can produce an heir at the insistence of his grandfather. Enter Georgina Russel, the 21-year-old sister of Jeremy's friend Tom, whose father is trying desperately to marry her off. After not having seen Georgina since she was 16 Jeremy is instantly attracted and sets out to not only protect her from the loathsome cad Lord Pellton who Georgina's father is trying to marry her off to but to win her for himself. Jeremy is entering into unchartered territory since up to now he's only ever had sex with prostitutes and as he professes, he likes his sex "hard and fast" so how does he navigate a relationship with Georgina, who is young and virginal?
When Jeremy learns of Lord Pellton's evil intentions for Georgina, he insists she marry him so that he can protect her. Georgina isn’t sure she can be a proper wife to him because of her past. The learning process these two characters go through and the emotions they feel for each other is a beautiful story. The transformation Jeremy goes through from being the self-indulgent Libertine he starts out as to the loving protective husband redeems him in my opinion.
There is also plenty of sex, hot steamy sex! Raine Miller has quite the talent for laying out a delicious sex scene, that is for sure! It is not just sex though, it is the depth of emotion these two people feel for each other, the extent that Jeremy wants to go to for Georgina to make her feel safe and cherished during sex and the change that Jeremy goes through in realizing that he doesn't want to have hard and fast sex with Georgina because that is not what he feels with her.
This book also has action and adventure, humor, drama, sadness but most of all, love. And this story intertwines with Raine's first historical novel The Passion of Darius. If you've already read that story, you will recognize several characters in that book that appear in The Undoing of a Libertine. And if like me you are a lover of all Raine's books and have read her book Eyes Wide Open, The Blackstone Affair, you will recognize several things in this book that you have read about in EWO. Raine has a gift for intertwining her characters and events and places through her books.
I realize that historical books are not everyone's cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and fell in love with Jeremy and Georgina. I highly recommend this book as a must read!
Holy Hotness Batman! I have never been one to get into Historical Romance, but along with His Perfect Passion, these two novels by Raine Miller have helped make me a believer!
Not only are the heroes swoon worthy but the heroines are strong women who with the help of their men get through some pretty incredible circumstances.
It is no secret to anyone who knows me that I am a HUGE fan of Raine Miller's Blackstone Series. Yet even with my love of Ms. Miller, I was still reluctant to start this book. I have had it in my TBR for months and would start and then stop. What a fool I am! This book is romantic, passionate, intense and has suspense leaving you on edge. And best of all there tie ins to the Blackstone Series inner woven with this story line.
Georgina Russell is being pushed by her father to marry. A brutal assault has left her damaged and vowing she can be wife to no man but her father has other plans. She is to marry a friend of her father's who is not only 4 times older than her but a total creepy man who has sinister plans for Georgina after marrying. Jeremy Greymont is also being pushed to marry but for the purpose of creating an heir. Jeremy has been with a multitude of women, but has never found a lover. His time is running out, so at the urging of a his friend Tom, Georgina's brother, he decides to pursue Georgina in hopes of saving them both.
Both have demons that are following them. In the end can they both be saved? It was an excellent adventure and one I hope to read over and over again!
This one was a slow read for me. The first half seemed to drag on and on, but the action picked up in the second half. The hero wavered between alpha and beta and I couldn't decide how to categorize him.
I had read this author's new work Naked just prior to reading this one. Although it was a much shorter, the writing in it seemed crisper and more focused which indicates to me that her writing style is evolving in a very good direction. Will certainly look with interest for her new releases, but don't think I will read any other older works.
Wow! I have to admit I was a little hesitant to purchase this book but O.M.G. Let me explain, I was hesitant simply because I'm not a historical romance reader, never, I just never got it, that is until I discovered Raine Miller!!!! I've been turned, I love, loved this book, the characters and their story! Thank you Raine Miller for making me a believer and reader of historical romance novels!!!
Hero went from rake to love struck idiot in about 20 minutes. After that, almost every scene is the same. Just awful. Could only force myself through two thirds of the book.
The Undoing of a Libertine was a heart-achingly beautiful, touching and very sensual story. This historical romance had love and passion in abundance as well as tragedy and angst. But as in all Raine Miller books we get a well-deserved HEA for our two protagonists after they've been trough some challenging trials and tribulations and experienced the healing power of love. I found myself once again in awe of this author's exceptional talent. Raine's ability to write captivating stories that go under your skin and create wonderful characters that leave a mark on your heart and soul is nothing short of remarkable. I've been a huge fan of her work for years.
Jeremy Greymont is a shameless libertine in his thirties who lives a careless life full of vices. Scotch and courtesans are his preferred company rather than the stuck-up, pretentious polite society. But when his grandfather sets him an ultimatum to marry and produce an heir in order to fulfill his obligation towards his family Jeremy finds himself in a predicament. Luckily for him his friend, Tom Russell, has a younger sister in her early twenties whose father is desperately trying to get her off his hands. Georgina has always intrigued him with her beauty, spirit and confidence but she's now changed into a skittish and anxious woman. Jeremy feels drawn to the lovely Miss Russell like a moth to a flame and can't wait to finally make her his wife and bed her. What he doesn't know is that Georgina's reluctance to marry and fullfil her marital duties in the bedroom is based on a traumatic brutal assault she still has not fully recovered from. Jeremy vows to be gentle and patient with his bride and to protect her. Can the charming, wickedly handsome rake entice Georgina to trust him fully with her body and heart?
Jeremy and Georgina were two well-developed, multi-layered and very relatable characters whose struggles felt real. I adored Jeremy for being such a dotting and devoted husband. Although his sexual preferences were on the raunchier side he didn't hasitate to tone down his appetite in order to not scare his sweet wife. He made Gina feel desirable, safe and loved. With him she felt cherished and comfortable in exploring intimacy. Georgina's kind and giving heart never left out an opportunity to show her beloved husband how much he meant to her and how high she held Jeremy in her regard. For a man who was still having abondonment issues this was a balm for the soul. I admired Georgina for her strength and perseverance. She was such an impressive heroine. Witnessing these two grow and evolve as individuals and as a couple was such a delight. They are without a doubt one of my favorite couples Raine has ever written!
I recommend this marvelous story to all fans of this genre who like me appreciate and enjoy a reformed rake as a romantic lead. I've thoroughly enjoyed The Undoing of a Libertine and give it 5+ brilliant stars.
It's time for Jermey to stop his playboy ways and find a wife. He needs to start filling his nursery with an heir and a spare.
Gena's reputation has been soiled, but not voluntarily by her. Her father wants to save the family shame and is thrusting her upon a old friend of his because he needs to get rid of her before the shame is known. Problem is, this so called "friend" has a dark side that her father apparently doesn't know about. Gena doesn't want to marry him.
Okay...this isn't a new storyline for those of us who read historical romances. My problems with this one was it was slow, dragged on, and the character's character was too diametrically apposed. A playboy who's bedded so many women he can't count them (claims over 100) suddenly see's Gena and become the caring, loving, protecting, sensitive man he's never been in his 30 years. Her father goes from wanting to pawn her off on whomever will take her to a pissed off, revengeful, caring parent. Gena's character was okay...she was beholding to the father's whims for her. (Until Jermey came along.)
The sex scenes were good (when she wasn't freaking), the writing was good, also the ending was good. I've read other Raine Miller books and this was my least favorite.
Jeremy and Georgina. It is time for Jeremy to marry and have an heir. He mentions this to his friend, Tom Russell, and Tom suggests Jeremy marry his sister. Jeremy would consider this and goes to spend time at Tom’s to reacquaint himself with her. It’s been years since he has seen her. He finds her changed from the girl he knew before.
Georgina was raped about 6 months before Jeremy visits. She is being pursued by Lord Pellton to marry and he is her father’s age with no scruples. She does not want to marry him. Jeremy wants to e a suitor too and she feels she needs to tell him about the rape. She also tells him she can’t be a wife to him. He leaves as he has to marry someone who will give him an heir. When back home, Jeremy can only think about Georgina. Finally he decides to go to a brothel. He sees Pellton there with his nephew. The girl Jeremy is with tells him that they come for a ménage and no one likes to be with them as they are rough. They told her that soon they wouldn’t have to come as Pellton would be marrying soon and they would ménage with his wife.
Jeremy leaves without having sex with the girl. The next day he goes to Georgina’s to ask her to marry him. She is surprised he came back for her but says yes. They marry fast as he wants to be able to protect her. He is nervous about how to approach Her sexually because of the rape and wants to be gentle, although that is not what he is used to. After the first time she is surprised and happy that she actually liked it. As their relationship develops they become very close in all ways. Jeremy is in love and never wants to go back to his old empty life.
Theresa Blufette, a brothel Madame, sends Jeremy a letter and says she needs a meeting with him about his family. He refuses to meet with her. Jeremy seems to be constantly concerned that he will hurt or offend Georgina sexually and she assures him that everything they have done is fine with her. One night there is a fire nearby and Jeremy goes to help. A coupld lose their child in that fire. Jeremy goes and gets drunk, goes to bed and tries to have sex from behind with Georgina. She panics and fights him as this way brings back to her memory the rape and the way he took her.
Georgina regrest her reaction to Jeremy and some distance develops between them. Jeremy receives another letter from Mad. Blufette that Strawnly has Marguerite (girl from brothel).
Jeremy lies to Georgina and goes to London to help. When gone Georgina finds the previous letter and heads to London after Jeremy. There, Strawnly takes Georgina and Jeremy saves her, getting a bad knife wound. Georgina stays by his side. It is arranged for Strawnly to be on one of Jeremy’s ships with the husband and father of another girl who strawnly hurt badly and Jeremy is sure Strawnly won’t survive the trip.
Jeremy calls Danny, the young boy who helps him in London and lives in the streets, in and offers him a job.
Jeremy’s grandmamma and grandfather come to stay awhile and plan a party.
Jeremy receives another letter from Mad. Blufette which Georgina gives to him. He is concerned about what she may want and asks Georgina for her support in this. She gives it. Jeremy finds out that Blufette has a son and had been married to Jeremy’s father so he has a half-brother and she is dying. Georgina is pregnant also.
I loved this book! 5 stars I love this author's writing style. She writes books that bring you in immediately and I don't want to put down.

The Undoing of a Libertine is a 5 star masterpiece from Raine Miller and a must read for all romance fans! If you, like me, have watched Bridgerton on Netflix about 15 times already and are currently obsessed with historical novels, then you definitely need to pick up this one! It's a great combination of sweet, sexy and angsty, with a very fast paced and intriguing story line. The two main protagonists are absolutely brilliant. Georgina is a strong woman who has suffered and survived a brutal assault. Now her father is determined to marry her off as soon as possible, in order to save the family's reputation. Enter Jeremy Greymont, her brother's best friend and a famous Libertine who is in desperate need of a wife and heir to secure his title.
The moment these two meet the sparks fly! Jeremy is besotted with Gina from the start, while she feels not good enough for him. Despite her predicament, Jeremy agrees to marry her. It's a beautifully written love story full of passion and emotions that will leave you breathless. Like all couples, Jeremy and Gina will have several challenges to overcome, but what will always be a constant between them is their undeniable love for each other.
I could swoon about Jeremy Greymont for hours. He was a Rake, there's no denying it, but once he met Gina, everything changed. Even though he was a man with particular tastes in the bedroom, he pushed his carnal needs to the side and was very gentle and considerate with her. He knew that a woman like her who suffered such a trauma would have difficulties to trust and let herself go. It melted my heart how he treated her like the biggest treasure in the world and was constantly torn between his unsatiable need for her and the need to protect her. He's most definitely one of my top favorite heroes written by this incredibly talented author.
Sweet, strong and goodhearted Gina was a very remarkable woman. I was in awe of her strenght and felt so much sympathy for her and her situation. Finding a husband like Jeremy who was extremely protective of her and loved her fiercly was a blessing! He admired her quiet strenght and determination to make their marriage work and make him happy. I loved watching her bloom under his care.
I could seriously read this book again and again and never get tired of it. It's the kind of epic love story that shows how love can heal and mend wounds we sometimes think will last forever. A huge round of applause for Raine Miller for writing such an outstanding book! She's not without a reason one of my top favorite authors. Now please do yourself a favour and pick up this 5+ stars gem right now.
The first 75% of this book was a passionate, absorbing, hot and interesting read. It was very annoying to be interrupted and have to put down my kindle and come back to the real world!
Jeremy has turned 30 and is being hounded by family to marry and produce and heir. He is a really honorable and good man who has drifted through life emotionally untouched, his evenings being taken up by drink, cards and women. He feel incapable of love and has never pursued it, lots and lots of meaningless sex is good enough for him. He is dominant and he likes it rough, so he has always paid for his pleasure rather than trying to have affairs.
Georgina is 21. She has survived a brutal attack where she was beaten and raped by a stranger and feels that she is ruined both because she is no longer a virgin but also because she can no longer bear a man's touch. Her father is more concerned about the family's reputation than her suffering and insists she marry before the family name is tainted by the scandal of an unmarried daughter.
The story is told from both Jeremy and Georgina's point of view and we get to see what they are thinking as well as saying, which was a wonderful. Jeremy is astonished to find himself strongly drawn to Georgina and quickly falls in love with her. He feels for the first time in his life, and feels deeply. Georgina feels safe with Jeremy, but is afraid she could never bring herself to be a true wife to anyone. Jeremy's gentle ways and persistance ultimately convinces Georgina to trust him and try a life together. Some of my favorite scenes were when Georgina is praising Jeremy for being so kind and patient with her while in his head Jeremy is berating himself for his nonstop sexual fantasies of all he wants to do with her! Jeremy is not perfect, he makes mistakes, sometimes pushing too hard, but his devotion lends him patience to lead Georgina back from being afraid of touch, of having flashbacks and being stiff and rigid. Her trust in him allows Georgina to first tolerate then enjoy then revel is sex with the husband she has come to love.
The last 25% seemed to fall back on hr convention. The heroine TSTL moment, threat to life and limb, tooth achingly sweet ending. Even though the last part of the book is more conventional most of the book is edgy and hot enough to be worth rereading. I recommend it!
"The mind is its own place, and in itself Can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven." —John Milton, Paradise Lost(1667)
I really loved this book ... a classic love story in every sense even if predictable it was nice to go back to something like that after so many brooding angst ridden billionaires with mental issues.... made this story seem most unusual these days! Jeremy Greymont for all his faults IS mentally sound and able to love Georginia in a way that is both beautiful and rare these days and well Georginia is passionate, brave, loving and strong willed.
Jeremy to his Gina “When I see you, I can’t look away. When we are apart, I feel you on my skin. I can taste you on my tongue. I smell your scent and I am so utterly and blissfully lost in you.”
I had forgotten how much I loved this genre I am so glad I went back to Raine Miller to rediscover Historical Romance and read this one in addition to His Perfect Passion :) It probably shouldn't be a 5 star book there could have been more story but this book was great for me and it IS my review ;) I I am looking forward to the upcoming books Ms. Miller has coming out namely the 4th book Rare and Precious Things and the Novella Cherry Girl in The Blackstone Affair series and the next historical romance now too! :) Oh oh and all the quotes through this book... loved loved loved that! Maybe that's what made it go from a 4 star book to a 5 star for me... I am a sucker for great quotations!
"Oh happy state! when souls each other draw, When love is liberty, and nature, law: And then is full, possessing, and possessed, No craving void left aching in the breast." —Alexander Pope, “Eloisa to Abelard” (1717) December, 1840 London
THE UNDOING OF A LIBERTINE by Raine Miller is another exciting Erotic Historical Romance set in 1837 London. I was once again captured by hero Jeremy Greymont and the heroine Georgina Russell. Jeremy is a libertine who likes his sex rough, and is looking for something in all the wrong places. Georgina Russell, has been raped and brutally assaulted by an unknown assailant, therefore, can not stand a man's touch, until, that is she meets Jeremy. Fast paced story filled with secrets, passion, betrayal, danger, learning to trust, romance and love. A quick read that will leave you breathless and an awe of this writers' compassion while addressing a very serious topic, with her engaging characters and her plot you can go wrong with one of her stories. I would recommend this title, especially if you enjoy a great read,do not let the erotic romance stop you from reading "The Undoing of a Libertine". Although, it does have hot, steamy, sizzling sensual scenes it is not all about the sex,it addresses a very serious topic along with two awesome characters in Jeremy and Georgina. It is an enjoyable, compelling, and compassionate read. Received for an honest review from the author.
RATING: 4.5
HEAT RATING:Steamy/Sizzling: Sensual, with more explicit love scenes, and the language may be more graphic and direct. REVIEWED BY: AprilR, Review courtesy of My Book Addiction and More
I really enjoyed this book, which was a pleasant surprise for me, as the publisher is known for some raunchy tales. However, this story was sweet, sweet romance, particularly due to the wide romantic streak of our hero, Jeremy Greymont, who quickly became a besotted fool for his heroine Georgina and spoke many lines worthy of a Hallmark Valentine's Day card. He is, as one earlier reviewer put it, "swoon-worthy."
In fact, the whole story strongly reminded me of child's tale, one in which the good guys are really, really good - here, Jeremy is strong, heroic, loving, kind; Georgina is sweet, loving, needs to be protected - and the bad guys are really, really bad - psychotic rapists - can we get worse than that? The HEA is so sweet at the end it hurts your tooth - besides the standard love, marriage, and baby carriage trifecta, Georgina reconciles with her dad, and Jeremy discovers a younger brother he never knew he had while being offered a dream job in British government. Niiice. Got a winning lottery ticket with that? :)
This book was a winner with me - excellent escape reading.

Another great historical erotic romance from Raine Miller. I absolutely loved this book and the Characters (Jeremy & Georgina) and so many others that made this story great. What a beautiful love story from a dark man and a damaged woman. I was so glad that the story started strong & stayed that way until the end with a few twists & turns along the way. Jeremy was unlikable right from the beginning and then how can you resist falling in love with him. Georgina, you had to love her from the start and how she changed into such a beautiful person in love. I loved how it tied in His Perfect Passion characters into this book and now I can't wait to see what it does in "Eyes Wide Open book 3 of the Blackstone Affair. So excited to read that one now. This book was filled with strong emotions that surprised both Jeremy & Georgina. Both did not think that they could feel the things that they did. Georgina & Jeremy both had fear, trust, abandonment and sexual issues but in different ways. This was an easy read.
Steamy hot lovin!!! This book is full of it. And full of great characters and a plot that just keeps giving. Georgina is brutally attacked and "ruined" for marriage. She's being forced into a marrige to a horrible man and Georgina has no idea how truly horrible he is. Jeremy is an established businessman being pressured by his family to find a wife and make an heir. Neither expected to find love in each other. But juat as the begin their life of bliss Georgina's attacker strikes again.
