Love is in the air! Barbie takes a walk and sees lovebirds resting in a tree, a child blowing a kiss to Grandma, and other signs that love is all around her. The simple, rhyming text will make little girls want to step out with Barbie and step into reading on their own. https://openlibrary.org/books/OL74292...
This is great for Barbie fans. Barbie goes for a walk and finds lots of different examples of love, from lovebirds to families to friends. This book is written in very short simple sentences and rhymes. Good for an early reader. The pictures are all drawn cartoons and not the photo picture of the Barbie figure like on the cover. I liked how everyone was modestly dressed in this one, sometimes Barbie gets a little risqué. ;) Barbie even takes water on her walk and recycles! My 4 year old loved reading it. My toddler enjoyed looking and listening to it.
This isn't the 'traditional' Valentine's Day book but I have 'tagged' it as one since Barbie on her walk through her community she finds things showing caring and love toward one another, including when she returns home her mother and sister are making her heart shaped cookies to enjoy.
My 3 year old granddaughter loved looking at the bright illustrations and enjoyed this simple story. It is a level 1 storybook with a few words on each page so would be a good book for a beginning reader.
