Toni Donovan is teaching a summer class at a community college in Springfield, Missouri. During a family reunion at Sequiota Park, her youngest son discovers a body in the lagoon, and then her colleague, John, recognizes the victim as a member of the summer graduate class he is taking. When the police question her child, who has a history of dreaming and finding things, Toni enlists the help of her youngest brother, who is a member of the local police force. Further shock strikes when John is mugged and his flash drive taken. To protect her son, Toni must find out what, and who, is responsible for the death of the murdered coach. When her sleuthing uncovers the illegal operation behind the scenes, she is furious, and the question becomes whether she can control her anger and stop the coach's killer before she becomes the one stopped—permanently.

About the author

Helen Brown grew up in a small Missouri town and changed colors when she married her pastor and became Helen Gray. They have three grown children, a daughter and two sons. Now retired, with the children grown and gone from the nest, she and her supportive husband still live in their native Missouri Ozarks. He likes to roam the woods, hunt and fish. She enjoys gospel, sacred, and concert band music and is a member of ACFW. Her idea of sheer luxury is to curl up with a good book and a nice cold Coke. She thanks God for the time and opportunity to spin Christian romance and mystery stories, and considers it an added blessing if they should touch others in even a small way.

Easy read

Garrett has just told his parents he dreamed about a fire chief last night.
A family reunion on Kyle’s side, with about a hundred present. Garrett is missing, he went looking for the fire chief. He found him in the water with an Indian chief on the front of his shirt. Toni brother is a police officer calling and asking him to come. Not wanting to involve Garrett. It the officer is getting suspicious. Another dream, a dead body and Toni is drawn into another investigation Good plot, and a good series, clean, with family, and a boy with dreams.
