It was only supposed to be one night.
Now I’m pregnant with his baby.
I didn’t even get his phone number, and now I’m carrying his child.
Flash forward four years. A family tragedy has changed my life and left me in charge of the one thing I hate the most: a professional football team.
Guess who's the new player? Cocky, gorgeous, impossible-to-manage, all-star quarterback Blake.

BLAKE:
It’s been four years since I’ve seen her curvy body, and now, here she is in front of me once again.
She’s got secrets, I can tell. But so do I.
My plan is to get her into my bed.
The only problem?
She's my new boss.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Contains 1-2 spoilers.

This had a lot of potential but really fell flat for me. I liked Dirty Baller better. This seemed way rushed. Plot holes and that had to do with how rushed it was. Cami was spineless and had NO self control. I get the lust and wanting the guy but she had no control and couldn't say no to save her life! It really bothered me that when she found out he hated kids she continued to be with the guy. Didnt come clean with the child they made til the last moment when she didnt have a choice. He was way too full of himself. I do expect that arrogance and being selfish but it was just too over the top and I had trouble believing these 2 felt anything, other than blind lust. The sex scenes were rushed and not well developed. I also have a problem with 50 chapters when it wasnt all that long. I think she needed to combine some of those into one chapter. I understand she's doing their own POV but I think it could have been cleaned up way better than it was. That whole thing with Josh? "Oh I outed you guys but hey I'm sorry please forgive me cause you know I know the whole story now and I feel guilty please forgive me?" You know Blake just forgives the guy 2 seconds later. Really? That would so NEVER happen. There was a big difference between how the book started and how it ended. A bit of a mess unfortunately. I might be alone in my opinion and thats ok.

I liked this one, but I didn't love it. It started out great and then it seemed to rush along. Camille and Blake had off the chart chemistry and I was really missing them interacting with Hazel. Blake was a swoon worthy book boyfriend by the end, I grew up. I was also missing the whole sports he played football and she was the owner, but no really details of any of the games. I gratefully received a ARC for my thoughts.

Camille is not the kind to be into one nighter's but while in Florida, with her friends partying ( sort of ) with the Spring Breakers she meets the charismatic Blake. The connection between them is instant, no matter how she tries to keep away somehow they keep getting thrown back together.
She throws caution to the wind; they have a mind blowing one-nighter, she leaves without a word. Blake is devasted, he would have wanted a number ect. She moves onto Texas and her life. He moves on with his Football career. They will think of each other often throughout the next four years.
Until Blake is in Texas at a Dinner she's attending with her father, for the football team her dad owns, Blake had just been traded to her father's football team, The Warriors. The attraction- Connection still present. What are they going to do about it? What about the secrets she keeping?
Sweet, and witty with enough hotness I swear it burnt my fingers when I was swiping pages! Fast paced, detailed, with great characters, I didn't want the escaped to end! If you need a hot, witty romance, with a twist, I suggest this book!

Football Player; Secret Baby; Second Chance Romance; HEA

Camille in college was nose firmly in her text books. She had lofty medical goals. Her two best friends get her to go to Florida with them for Spring break.
She cuts loose one night. All she knows is his name is Blake..No last name..No Phone number. Just an unplanned Pregnancy.
Life throws curve balls. When her dad suddenly dies of an unexpected heart attack she ends up owning her dad's football team.
Only problem..Camille HATES FOOTBALL!
...Along comes newest traded player..Blake
Turns out to be Blake her 3yo daughter's daddy!
..What to do?..What to say?..The Sexual chemistry is still there.
I found the whole story realistic.
I was laughing so hard when they where in Minnesota and she had no winter clothing at all. The Shopping Blake took her on. Then the team and significant others snowball fight. OMG..I was rolling..

I cannot tell you how much I love this author! Vesper Vaughn has literally rocked my world with this book. The characters are perfect, the plot awesome, and it was worth the wait.

Camille and Blake had the best chemistry together. They were both in sync with the other person. I did cry just a bit when they missed the connection before baby showed up. I love the fact that Blake only had a minor freak out but corrected his actions quickly. He is definitely book boyfriend material.

I don't want to spoil the ending but I will tell you that you won't know what hit ya. You won't see it coming, I guarantee it.

As I said, I love this author and I jump at every chance to read her books. She knows how to keep me entertained and once you've been introduced to her works, you will be a life long fan.

Predictable, but cute, secret baby romance between a cocky football player and the new owner of his pro team. But four years ago when Blake and Cami first met, they were just two college kids in Miami for spring break who had a one-night stand and then parted ways, losing touch because she ran out on him in the morning.

But Cami was left with quite a little souvenir from that vacation, and four years later, never expected that Blake would be the new player traded to her dad's football team. An unforeseen tragedy soon after makes Cami Blake's boss, so there is also an element of a forbidden romance in this story.

Will their affair be discovered? Will Cami tell I-hate-kids-Blake that he's her baby daddy? Spoiler alert: there IS a HEA for Cami and Blake, so...

Vesper Vaughan does this trope well. (Her Dirty Baller is one of my faves in this trope.) I wish there was a tad more anger on Blake's part about how he was lied to, but overall, this was a fun, quick book to read. Not a lot of angst, not super long, just the right amount of sizzle, and a pretty mindless read. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

They met and have a one night stand which results in a baby.... however they don't know each other and no was of contacting each other.... 4 years later Blake ends up playing ball for Camille's dad'd team and they are reunited once again. Looks like they both have secrets.... can they get passed them and be happy?!?!? Have a read and find out. Really great read and highly recommended.

A great new read from Vesper Vaughn! When Camille showed up in Florida with her friends for Spring Break she came prepared to study not party, until she gets called up on stage for Karaoke with a man she briefly met, Blake. Blake is in Florida with his friends living it up before the draft and the biggest night in his football career, but the feisty Camille turns him on his head; for one she didn't throw herself at him and for two she made him work for it. A song sung together on the stage leads to a night of unbelievable passion for them both and Camille walking away before Blake can wake up. Five years has changed them both and now they find themselves in the same city, working for the same football team and an unknown to Blake connection in the form of a little girl. The sparks fly between them, but when the truth is revealed about Camille's daughter they will have their work cut out to make their little family work. Blake is an alpha male who knows what he wants and has his sights set on Camille and she is woman who has a spine of steel thanks to growing up with her father so she is the perfect person for Blake. Good story but predictable. Camille is on spring break and meets Blake, they have a connection that can't be denied. But Camille will always have a memory of that night they shared together. 4 yrs later and they are reunited when Blake gets traded to Cami's fathers football team. I liked reading Blake & Cami's story and especially like the connection Blake had with Hazel.

They met one night on spring break. Never knowing who each other was, they only had one night together. Now several years later they meet again. Blake is a professional football player and Camille holds a secret that changes everything. I enjoyed their sweet romance, Blake's determination and their HEA. I enjoy the stories by this author!

This was a fun one to read. I'm a sucker for the 'secret baby' books. This one didn't disappoint. The story was well written. I found the main characters real and I was able to cheer them on. I do have a couple of complaints, which is why there are only 4 instead of 5 stars. I'm not sure these are actually spoilers but just in case...
I recommend this one as a quick fun read to all!

Camille und Blake meet per chance at spring break. There is an immediate chemistry between them and it does not take long for them to give in to their mutual feelings.
Then they part without knowing their last names and without changing their numbers and without knowing that their night together had consequences…

Years later Camille is forced to return home to her father for an official event and it is then she finds out that Blake is one of the best football players and that he is the new star in her father’s team.
And then fate strikes and Camille is suddenly the new co-owner of the football team. And therefore Blake is off limits ...

Vesper Vaughn masterfully sketched her characters and portrayed their inner turmoil ...

As a reader, you might have wanted a little more interaction with Camille's daughter Hazel and perhaps a little more description of football games, after all, Camille is the co-owner of the team. There are some gaps for my liking.

Nevertheless, this book is great and difficult to put out of hand once you start reading.

Sometimes, you just have to go out there, chill and relax. Maybe go a bit wild. That's what Camille does one night out with her friends. Always studying, not enough relaxing they say, so when she meets Blake one night she thinks "why not" . Problem is, she gets more than she bargains for....a baby. Meeting Blake years later is such a shock. Taking over the team and Blake now being a top quarterback player is a shock to them both. The chemistry is still there and I think Blake has never forgotten Camille and still loves her. Obviously the physical attraction to Blake has never stopped but she has one big secret to tell him. I loved the dual POV and how the plot develops. Blake finding out he is a father is such a shock but after that the story became even better. I loved it all. Especially the ending. Great stuff.

Mmm...I have mixed feelings about this book...the plot was predictable, and very rushed at times.

I found the character of Camille much too wishy washy...I kept wanting to shake her and tell her to grow a backbone.

The reason for the 4* is simply Blake....he is a well written character. He may have started out as a typical jock but boy did he mature and develop by the end of the story.

I was surprised by the lack of football scenes too.

Camille is on vacation with her two room mates, keeping her eye on them she's the sensible one.
Blake is waiting to be drafted he's a football player so he's been good on his last night of vacation. There eyes meet & the chemistry clicks.
After hooking up for the night she sneaks off, they know nothing about each other so the past is past?
Another new author for me.

Very good contemporary sports/football romance. Camille is on spring break with her friends when she meets Blake. They meet again a few years later and realize the chemistry is still there. Turns out her father owns a football team. Blake was always a ladies man but for some reason couldn't forget Camille. They have ups and downs as well as trials ahead of them. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

You end up in bed with a guy while on spring break and don't even get his name. Fast forward a few years and you have had his kid and ended up with a football team. And lo and behold there he is again. Very hot and steamy and bumpy. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Callie is on spring break with 2 of her friends, Amanda and Sara. They both try hard to get Callie to loosen up some and have some fun, But Callie is the type to take care of others and more reserved, That is until she sees him, The gorgeous guy with the ripped body and tattoos. There in all his glory laying in the sun, When Blake drinks his margarita to fast and gets brain freeze he hollers and when he opens his eyes and sees the stunning curvy woman standing there in jeans and a tshirt asking him if he is okay he is speechless, for about a second.
Later that night Callie's friend Sara signs her up for couples karaoke and when they call her name and she sees who her partner is she cringes, It is the hot tattooed guy again, That is when she learns his name is Blake. When Callie falls in the pool and Blake realizes that she cant swim he saves her and takes her back to his hotel room to get her some dry clothes, They have one HOT night of sex. They dont exchange last names or numbers It is just a spring break thing
5 years later, Callie goes home to see her dad, something she has to do every year and dreads, This year when she gets there and goes with him to the draft pick dinner she sees Blake again, not realizing that he was a football player back during spring break Callie is surprised to see he has just been hired by her father for the team he owns.
OH there are secrets that Callie is keeping from Blake but the sexual chemistry between the two is HOT HOT HOT. Callie wants to tell Blake about Hazel but every time he says something about hating kids she just cant make herself tell him he is a father.
I loved how this story plays out, with Callie becoming the Boss and how Blake takes the news about Hazel, Just everything about it was wonderful and the epilogue was awesome!

Camille and Blake have an instant connection when they meet. Giving into their attraction, they share a night together and then separate without sharing contact information. Life goes on, and she moves to Texas, while Blake moves on with his football career, neither really forgetting the other. When their lives throw them back together again, there is definitely still something between them. Secrets, steam and heat abound in this second chance romance. Loved their chemistry, and the sports aspect was great - I love a good hot sports-related love story! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

A one night hook up on spring break - no last names, no phone numbers exchanged - has lasting results. Five years later, Camille is an owner of a professional football team and Blake is the new quarterback. Reunited, Blake and Camille can't keep their hands off each other whenever they are in the same room, but underlying everything is the secret she is keeping from him - that he is the father of delightful four year old Hazel.

I was so excited to see Vesper Vaughn had a new book coming out because I absolutely love everything she writes and Dirty Player didn't let me down. I loved the characters and the story. It's fun and sexy and sweet. I enjoyed this book so much I hated for it to end. This book is a great read.

Dirty Player is about Camille and Blake. Camille is on a Spring Break vacation in Miami with her friends in their senior year of college. Blake is in Miami partying it up with his friends just before the football draft. They bump into each other and both are immediately attracted to the other. Later that day, they are enjoying a cookout on the beach when the DJ announces it's karaoke time. One of her friends signs Camille up for it, and she ends up being paired with Blake. They have a great time and when a thunderstorm rolls in, they head into the hotel. Blake talks Camille into going to his room and they end up having sex the whole night. Camille sneaks out while Blake is asleep and they never exchanged last names or phone numbers, so there's no way for her to contact him when she finds out she's pregnant.

Jump to four years later, and Camille is finishing up her Ph.D. in chemistry. Her father asks her to come to Austin and learn the ropes of his business - owning a football team. At the banquet dinner that night, Camille is seated next to Blake and knows she's going to have to tell him he's Hazel's (her daughter) father. She just can't find the right time to do it. The attraction they had for each other four years ago is still there, but what can they do about it? She doesn't like football players. Plus, Blake is now on her father's team. But how long can they deny their feelings for each other?

I enjoyed this story. It was a cute secret baby, second chance, sports romance. It had some steamy scenes, some funny moments, some sad moments, and a lot of great banter between Camille and Blake.
