Mia Day has lived among the Unseen her whole life. Her mother is the most famous mind reader who has ever lived, but Mia is special in her own right. She’s the only telekinetic in the department’s existence.
But that doesn’t help when her best friend Violet goes missing and two mysterious men Mia is unable to read show up. The situation unravels quickly when the men turn their attention to her. Despite her best efforts, she is dragged deep into the depths of the unknown.
I really hate writing these in third person. So hey! I'm Stephanie. I have all kinds of books including post-apocalyptic, dystopian, and paranormal romance. This is my first venture into clean rom-com, and I gotta tell ya, I loved it. I have 12 books planned for the Calendar Girls standalone series, so buckle up, buttercups! It's gonna be a fun ride, and I do hope you'll join me!
What else do you want to know? My husband can usually be found sailing the skies as an airline captain, and my daughter is TEN now (::commence sobbing at the cruel passage of time::)!
I love to connect with readers, so please reach out any time! With nice things of course. Please don't troll me LOL. I have kindof a sharp tongue and little restraint when provoked. It's not cute.
It was okay. I do like how it tied into the Vampire Girl series but it just left off. I was a bit disappointed in how short this story was. I don’t know I just had a hard time getting into the story until the end and then it was over. I do like the strength of the main character.
I was so excited to read Mia's story in Unknown! I have been patiently waiting to delve once again into the world created in the Unseen Trilogy. As a continuation of sorts, it was fabulous! It certainly kept with the same themes but added some additional elements as well. The Unseen Trilogy is my favorite of Stephanie Erickson's books. I am super-excited to read the next installment!
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
I low key missed the department of mind readers that stop terrorists, so imagine my excitement when I saw that it was not only coming back, it was joining another world of vampires! One of the reasons why I love this idea so much is because it introduces another seemingly fun world for fans like me to enjoy. It was weird seeing some of my favorite characters have kids who are now taking the spotlight. Little M is just like her mother, only now she isn't just dealing with bad men... she's dealing with a whole other world.
There is more risky things in here, something that wasn't in Mac's series, and I think I like it even more because of it?? I thought it was written pretty well for Little M's POV, well paced and overall just a really fun read. I can't wait for the next one!
I was very impressed with the ease of the flow from the Unseen series to this. Mia has grown up and is now a member of the team with her parents and grandfather. She is more stubborn than her mother was/is which this time around may have gotten her into some trouble.
This books rolls smoothly without losing momentum. Great storyline and the introduction of the new characters is great.
I look forward to the next installment to see just how our Mia fares during her time in Inferna.
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review*
I already love Stephanie Erickson and her novels, especially the Unseen trilogy, but adding Fae and vampires to the mix just made it even better! Can't wait to find out how Mia gets herself out of the mess she has fallen into. I'd really like to know what happened to Daisy and Logan as well. Hoping all will be revealed in the next one!
Stephanie Erickson has written an enthralling page turner. I was drawn to Mia. She is a strong willed heroine who is a member of the Unseen. She is a reader and she plans to use her talents to find her missing friend. She suspects that Violet's boss is involved. When she meets him, she finds that he's a deadly adversary. He knows that she's special and wants to possess her. Nothing will stop him not even his brother. I liked how her family and friends were there to support her. They too are members of the Unseen, but they don't know who they are dealing with. This story is action packed from the start. Just be aware that it ends with a cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next installment. I'm glad that I won't have long to wait. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read. My comments are my honest opinion.
I can't tell you how excited I am that there is a continuation to the Unseen Trilogy. And Stephanie doesn't disappoint. She weaves her world into the world of the Vampire Girl with ease. We now follow along with Mia, the daughter of Mac and O. We still see some of the old characters and where they are now, but now we have a whole new paranormal world with vampires to contend with. Is this something that Mia can handle or will she fall prey to it? You will have to read it to find out. Can't say how much I loved this book. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book.
