I have to say that for a very good brain surgeon, one whose surgeries have 90% chances of success, Kaden is really stupid.
It was obvious he was going to fall into a trap. Hell, even Dylan told him to stay clear. And yet Kaden still trusted those „doctors”.
I don’t have a major problem with the plot itself. After all, it’s a book. This is why we read books, to escape the reality, to „live a fairytale”. It was obvious this book was going to focus more on the „miracle” than on the illness itself.
The characters didn’t evolve. Rose was naive, which was normal since to her she was still a teenager. She was struggling to catch and learn whatever changed in the world while she was deeply sleeping. I had bigger expectations from Kaden. As I said, as a very good and important brain surgeon, I wanted him to be smart. He wasn’t smart. Not at all.
It started as a good and interesting story. Sadly, I lost interest near the end.
