Hanako Flanagan, PI, has the Murphy's Own Luck - magic can't hurt her, but it can't help either, and her luck? All of it is bad, and she's pretty sure the Universe is out to get her.

Not even five times her daily rate can wash the stink off having to work for Amelie Bathory, "Queen" of Mill City's vampires. Someone has been sending Fog Kids into her tenants' businesses to steal and each is losing something different - enchanted, cheap, expensive, even green.

As the plot unfolds, every answer brings nothing but more questions, more danger, and more lousy luck.

Double-cross, double-dealing, dominion, and death - and more than a few desperate escapes!

Can Hanako survive long enough to see the conspirators put away?

Damn good!

A Murphy. Someone untouched and unaffected by magic. Hanako Flannigan had back luck in spades. She was a PI. And this could be her biggest case yet. So long as she could get over her dubious employers Vampirism and survive the treacherous assignment. With the help of her cop friend Andy she has a limited time to solve the mystery behind the Fog children, the thefts, and connect all of the players in this dangerous mystery. Perils lurk around every corner! This is a heart-pumping mystery story sure to keep you on the edge of your seat and gnawing on your nails! Definitely plan a long night for this is a hard book to put down! A five-star read! Truly brilliant!
