Noely’s Dragon

She lost her way; he lost his purpose. But not anymore.

Noely’s never had an easy life, but she has found a level of comfort as she tried to save enough money to resume her search for her missing guardian. Her hunt has been halted for several years as she cannot seem to say no to helping those in need. A chance encounter with a wounded shifter leaves her questioning everything she has believed both about herself and the people around her.
Cyprian had lost his purpose after losing too much. Though he still went through the motions, his easy-going manner had largely given way to cynicism and an attempt at indifference. It was only through the eyes of Noely that he could start to see a reason to keep going. But giving up on his goal will mean having to return to the pain that had nearly ruined him.
Is their encounter simply a reminder of what’s important, or is there more to their growing unwillingness to part?

Lisa Daniels is a (young) retired school teacher who resides in Miami. After five years of teaching, Lisa Daniels found that it wasn’t quite the world that she wanted to inhabit. After leaving her position, she moved to Miami. She hasn’t regretted it.

In her worlds, Lisa Daniels creates characters that go beyond the usual narrative. While they definitively include romance, Lisa Daniels strives to make the worlds more real with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts of the genre. All of the main characters (and many of the secondary ones) have a rich history that span much longer than the stories themselves. This makes it easy to weave the stories together so that you can see characters you met in previous tales and see how they have managed since.

The Dragons of Letera is her first standalone series. Letera is a world teaming with romance, action, and stories – it is a world that Lisa Daniels loves to explore with her readers, one character at a time.

Noely’s Dragon (Dragons of Telera Book 4)

Noely’s Dragon (Dragons of Telera Book 4) ~~ Noely’s story had a softer emotional core that really worked for me. There’s a lot of healing, trust, and learning how to let someone in. I felt very connected to her journey and loved how the romance developed at a steady, meaningful pace.

Listening on Audible brought the emotion to life during the heavier scenes, and Kindle was perfect when I wanted to pause and really absorb what was happening. This one felt comforting while still being exciting.

This book added heart to the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

I love Dragons. I like to say they are my shifter family. This was one dragon read that was so different than the most and this is what got my attention very fast. The entire book was so different, but in a very good way. Hard to tell what year this takes place in...love for you to share you idea in your review i will be reading. It is so good. I can't wait for more from her. Love her books and was very lucky to get one early to read. This is the kind of book I could see in a show on tv or developed into a movie. That good.

A hot dragon romance. The story centers around Noely and Cyprian, but a few other characters show up and add a lot to the story. Noely has made a life for herself working in the castle's kitchen. She could do more but she doesn't want the attention of men. She's seen how and what men want and that is not the future for her. Until she finds an injured man in the forest and helps heal him. But now all her thoughts are on the beautiful blue eyes of a stranger. Her world is about to change and the stranger will give her her HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

Noely finished her work in the kitchen and walked deep into the dark woods behind the palace, gathering what she needed for the herbalist to make medicine for the children. Others were afraid of the wood, but she loved it there. She saw movement in the shadows and noted it was a wounded shifter of some kind. He was apparently trying to hide, so she figured his animal form must be larger and harder to conceal than the human one. She approached and offered to take him to a cave to hide in and rest; she smiled and kept her voice gentle to keep him at ease. He had lost a lot of blood, but she would stay the night and care for him at the cave.

The next morning, he was standing at the cave entrance and motioned for her to be silent. Then he left. He came back later and they talked together. He said he owed her a debt that he would repay. She didn’t want him to leave, but he was needed elsewhere. She felt her world had been changed knowing Cyprian, even for short a time.

When Captain Hisa overheard a comment she made to herself, he wanted to question her. Her friend arrived, so he didn’t get a chance. But that evening, he took her from her dinner and told her they had captured a spy and needed her to prepare food and treat his wounds or he would die. He knew she had helped him before, but his injuries this time were much more severe! Would she be able to help at all? And what then, when – if he survived – he would be put on trial and executed?

I loved this book. The characters were developed perfectly and allowed the reader to really connect with them. There was violence, but also ample amounts of love, kindness, gentleness, nurturing and friendship. The storyline was wonderful, with ample surprises, and the action-packed tale moved quickly along, keeping the reader fully engaged. I highly recommend it!
