What would you give to have everything your heart desired?
Meet Dab, an up-and-coming Harlem rapper, who’s on a quest to fulfill one burning goal – become a platinum-selling Hip Hop artist. With his mother and siblings barely surviving in the projects and a newborn daughter, he’s burdened with being the sole provider for his family.
Money is tight. His trifling baby mother is hell bent on to destroying him. His last mixtape flopped. Nevertheless, Dab is determined to keep his head above the water. Eventually he meets Zsa Zsa, a popular and bourgeoning R&B singer who offers him a glimmer of confidence.
As the two of them together work to perfect their craft, they get noticed by the Hip Hop industry’s biggest mogul, Tao. When he offers Dab and Zsa Zsa a deal of a lifetime they simply can’t refuse, they immediately jump on the opportunity. However, as the saying goes, “nothing in the world is free”; the deal comes with so many strings attached that it leaves Dab tangled. With his life on the line, he has to decide how far he’s willing to go to achieve fame, wealth and influence.

Great read, thought provoking
I loved this book. It was a little sad watching the characters basically sell their soul for fame. Makes you wonder if the entertainment industry is really like this, in many ways it is. Can't wait for part 3. Great job N'dia

Dab was a upcoming under ground rapper from NYC.
Dab hustling to make in the music industry to become a star. Little did he know his high school sweetheart Quinta baby mommy is cheating on Dab with his best friend Brody . Her excuse for cheating on him is he work all the time and doesn't spend time with her and his 6 months daughter. Quintana resents their daughter she had her purposely to use for leverage to get child support get money from him to ride his coat tails. She lied to Dab about staying over her mom's house when she really of Brody his best friend house getting her freak-on. Dab pissed off because Quinta's mother Brenda called ask could Dab come pick-up remain because she has a hair appointment she has seen Quintana since daughter last night. She lies again and tell Dab she fell asleep over Candy's house her abli . Of course he knows she lieing he tells her if she lies to him again they relationship would be over. He makes it to the studio to meets Gainz Zsa Zsa cousin the music eginneer who produces his tracks. Zsa Zsa ex-boyfriend Staxx attacks her because she didn't want to sang back -up on his tracks. Quinta and Brody get caught having sex in his living room by his baby mother Ayanna. When Brody promised he would keep their son Symir because she had a job interview the next day. Alanna and Quinta start fighting Ayanna called her a trifling hoe who didn't deserve have Dab taken care of her he deserves better than her rackett tail. Ayanna whipped her ass and both of them got arrested. Both Zsa Zsa and Dab both got a recording deal by Legacy record. Dab was questioned by the police about being the last person to see London alive someone also had sex with her He was court order to get a DNA test done. Meanwhile Zsa Zsa is waiting on Dab someone knocks on her door she b assumes it Dab she doesn't looks thru her peep-hole opens her door instead it Staxx attacks her again with a knife because of the chargers and restraining order I had against him. Zsa Zsa kicks in his groin and gets the knife stabbed him to death in self defense to protect herself. Meanwhile Dab has a decision to make a sacrifice to make between killing his baby mother or his former best friend Brody to keep from losing his shot in the music industry. Tao and Legacy is ruthless part of the Illuminatic have been watching Dab for awhile. Dab is in over his head who will sacrifice to get his chance at fame at what cost and what price will he have to pay in the end. Can't wait to read Killuminati 2 By N'dia Rae is a great author I truly enjoyed her work it was full of so ma twisted and turns a drama and danger around every corner.

This was a good read and a good cliffhanger at the end. If not for the poor editing, I would've given this 5 stars. I appreciated the character development on Femi and the plot twists but oooh Quinta got on my last nerve.
