Biker Romance

Not to brag, but I’m a lying, sneaky, hard drinking jerk. I come from money and power and live in a town where the name Dayton Rutgers means I get to cut to the front of the line, take the best of everything, and never worry about consequences.

Yep, I’m living the dream until the night Harmony Slater gives me the green light to take our flirting to the hip-thrusting next step. That’s when I realize my giant ego might not be such a winning quality.

Now she’s all I think about and I’m crazy with regret.

Lonely nights over, I’m on the hunt for my second chance. Harmony will no doubt attempt to use logic to stop me.

Nothing she says or does will change how this second chance is forever.

Whiskey Blues contains graphic sexual content, violent situations, and harsh language. The book is only appropriate for adult readers age 18+.

Skimmed a couple of reviews and thought it had potential. That'll teach me for trying to believe some of the bullshit on this one.

H is your typical manslut who fucksaround for years while chasing/flirting with the h, who of course is a virgin. One night she gives him a shot and he runs away like the manchild loser that he is because he'd rather fuckaround with other women!!! That night she turns to another guy & ends up having a kid with him. She had that ONE time and then remained celibate for the next 4 years.

The piece of shit H continues to fuck his way through the town (of course) while continuing his flirting/pursuing of the h for the next 2 years. Sleazabag.

The double standards here are pathetic, he considers her "cheating" when she slept ONE time with that guy after the H rejected her and says the kid should've been his. But of course don't bother pointing out this dickhead was fucking around non-stop. He's a total loser and she should've dumped him. I don't give a crap how nice he tries to be to her YEARS later, once he's had his fill of every woman in town and then some!! Total wanker! Just like his twin.

Who are the pathetic women who like this loser? It's embarrassing.

This book really surprised me, I love this author as I'm sure most know and I love this series and I knew I would also really like/love this book but I didn't know how much I would love this book. I think this book is my favorite from the series and I didn't know that would be possible. Dayton is hilarious and acts like a big baby when it comes to the heroine Harmony and what he wants, I was laughing throughout this book because of things he thought or said. Dayton just didn't care, he didn't have a filter and he said what he wanted and didn't apologize for it.

I also liked Harmony before this book but I loved her when I read her story, she does whatever she needs to for her son who is her world and she's kind. She cares for the people she takes care of so much. Keanu Harmony's son was so cute and sweet, he wasn't a filler cute character. The scenes with him and Dayton were some of my favorites. I love how we got to see Dayton so kind and patient with Keanu and I loved his jealousy with Keanu and his reasoning behind it. But maybe most I love how Keanu was his kid period, and he loved him the same as if he was his biological son.

We also get some great conclusions to storylines we have had in this series since book one. What surprised me (also) about this book was Mojo, Camden and Dayton's dad. I liked him, I had this idea in my head about him from what we have scene before this book but we see another side to him in this book. We also get to see everyone else from this series and see how they are doing now as well as some quick glimpses of people from other series.

Dayton made a mistake years ago and now Harmony has another mans baby and he still wishes she was his. Even though they see each other a lot around town and because of family it's never went anywhere. Harmony is sure she will just be another woman in the long list Dayton has. But after one night and too much to drink Dayton won't go away surprising Harmony. Dayton always knew he would make his move but could never find the nerve, when he finally decides he is done waiting and spends the night with Harmony Dayton knows he will do anything to make her his and keep her.

Dayton is determined to do whatever it takes to make Harmony his and getting her convinced he will stick around isn't easy but accepting that Harmony is a package deal may be harder especially when Keanu reminds him of the mistake he made years ago, making Keanu's someone else instead of his But Keanu quickly gets under Dayton's skin and he begins to fall in love with the little boy just like his mom. As they fall in love problems with the club and JJ don't stop or slow down and everything thats been brewing for too long finally comes to a head.

I loved this book, it was better than I could have ever dreamed and I loved the other books. There was so much going for this book. Yes I loved Harmony and Dayton's romance but it was more, it was Keanu and Dayton, and the dynamics of the whole family from both sides and these three people becoming a family. Dayton was single minded when it came to making Harmony(and Keanu) his. There wasn't anything I could think of in this book that I didn't like and I can't recommend this book enough.

*Thank you Bijou Hunter for this beta copy for my review

Tequila Blues was the third book in the Serrated Brotherhood MC by Bijou Hunter. It focused on Camden’s twin brother, Dayton, and Daisy’s younger sister, Harmony, both from book one, Bourbon Blues.

Dayton and Harmony have crushed on each other for years. They had the opportunity to get together years ago but Dayton walked away, a regret that has haunted him ever since. Harmony was now a single mother and refused to have anything to do with the wild and irresponsible playboy. Dayton however, knew they were soul mates and had finally decided to claim her, never backing down.

Hunter took us through the chase, which Dayton had quite a bit to prove. Hunter then began to peel back the layers of Dayton to show the real man underneath the facade of wild, dumb and irresponsible.

Simultaneously Hunter further developed the MC plot that had been running as a secondary storyline throughout all of the series books to date. It ran a little slow for me and I desired a faster pace with more detail and depth. It also came to an abrupt halt, which was surprising, so I again craved more; however, I was satisfied with the result, so it worked.

In the end, I was fascinated with Dayton and enjoyed the progression into the man he became. He still had a facade with others but Harmony knew him at his core and it more than made up for the rest.

As to my rating, the first half was a solid 3 with the second half a 5; therefore, I’ve settled on an overall 4. The epilogue was spot on as well and a great ending to the series.

Dayton Rutgers had a chance with Harmony Slater years ago, she challenged him in every way a woman could but he wasn't sure he could make the commitment she was looking for. Now years later she is a single mother to a three year old and Dayton is tired of fighting the inner turmoil inside himself with Harmony, it is time to make Harmony his.

Harmony gave Dayton a chance years ago, he balked and she has not forgotten. After a few drinks she finally takes Dayton up on his offer of a night together but Dayton isn't planning on one night he is planning on forever. Harmony doesn't trust this new side of Dayton, he is a man who seems aloof and has a way with words but he seems determined to show Harmony another side of him. Can she trust where this is going or is it a play on words?

This was another great read in the Serrated Brotherhood MC. Since the first book I have been curious about Dayton, I wasn't sure if his interest in Harmony was mild flirtation or if there was more to it. There is a whole side to this story about Dayton that is deep and settled my curiosity. Harmony is wonderful, loved her little boy Keanu. Entertaining read.

Hero (Dayton): 33yrs old
Plot: 4/5
Grovel: none
Cheating: none
HEA: yes with a sweet epilogue
Triggers: none

Average score: 4/5

Best Line: “Why can’t life be as fucking simple as what pie my mommy makes”

Worst Line: “He asks about Keanu without using my son’s name”

Personal Review:
A good hillbillie romance between a ‘bad boy’ and a single hippie mother.

Random Ramblings
•I can’t believe it took me this long to realise the connection to the books titles!
•It was annoying to be reminded about his manwhore-ish ways constantly but it was a nice surprise that he was celibate for 2 years
•Still will never find long hair on a guy attractive
•Keanu was a sweetie
•I am intrigued by Hudson. I just hope he doesn’t get paired with an loudmouth heroine as I prefer the quiet/nerdy/clutzy heroines
•I was slightly disappointed that neither twin had twin kids

Overall Feeling:

Well I just finished an arc of Dayton's and Harmony's story and I am so happy these two got together. You know I wasn't sure how Bijou was going to pull off making me like Dayton but she did it. One of the many things I like about her characters is that they are not perfect they are flawed but flawed in a good way, in a normal everyday way. Which is to say they are just people who have things that we like and don't like about them and we hope we find people that will like both these aspects of us. In this story Dayton, totally redeemed himself in my eyes and I loved how Harmony stepped up to the plate. As usual there is humour but a bit of seriousness in each story that works for me. I loved Dayton's over the top comments and loved how Harmony dealt with them. The evolution of the story was great, I'm a bit sad that there isn't more sisters, but excited to see what Bijou comes up with next.
Thank you for the chance to read the story a bit early.

I received an arc for an honest review

I don’t know where to start Bijou Hunter is one of my favourite authors her style of writing just transports you right into the story with the way she describes the surroundings. This book is nicely paced and will make you laugh and shed a tear (in a good way).
Dayton has another side of him in this book so give him a chance.

I really love the Serrated Brotherhood series and Dayton story was no less than the other bros but I wasn’t expecting the softer side to Dayton which really made me root for him to stay with it and don’t mess up again. Harmony and Dayton really do make a great couple apart from the chemistry they have and their attraction, he is very demanding and his little sulks and mini tantrums really did make me giggle throughout the book. The caring side of him with Keanu and how he put all his fears to one side and just got on board and do what he had to do made him even more likeable. He still the strong alpha loyal male who will defend his family with everything he has but inside he has the biggest heart.

You can read this as a stand alone but I would start at book one as some character’s reappear. I must also say regarding the reviews on book 2 yes he made a mistake and cheated and lots of people threw their toys out of toy box for it but it was ok to murder ?

If you want a read with a strong alpha biker male and strong minded female who doesn't back away from anything or anyone this is the book for you.
I could not put this book down and when you cant put a book down it deserves no less than 5 stars.

At first, I did not like who I felt Dalton portrayed himself to be, in how he acted and with the things he said. The book started out a little slow, add in the fact that I didn't like the hero at first, I wasn't sure I wanted to keep reading. I am glad that I stuck with it and kept reading. This was a good story, which I enjoyed reading. Once the real Dalton was revealed, I really liked him. I liked Harmony and how she gave him a chance because she saw behind the curtain. These two had a strong connection and just saw past all the crap that they put out there. They were perfect for each other. The sex was hot in this book between these two. Dalton's connection with Keanu was cute and I felt it. I loved that little boy. He broke my heart when he lost his friend. I really liked the epilogues. This story was a good end to this series. I enjoyed it.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I loved this novel. I love this author. I love a novel that makes me laugh out loud. Once again this author did not disappoint. I love how this series continued and loved how the author included the other characters from previous novels. I loved it. No one writes banter and can make me laugh like Bijou Hunter. Loved it!

Love this series, and the Serrated Brotherhood MC, Bijou Hunter, never disappoints. It seems with each book, the series gets better and better. Tequila Blues was a fantastic listen, centring on Dayton and Harmony and their second chance. Dayton is flawed, witty, funny with a devil-may-care attitude, and a total playboy. Harmony is head-strong, determined, and independent. Dayton and Harmony have history and great chemistry; they've had feelings for each other for many years. The last time they had the chance to be together, Dayton let Harmony getaway, a decision he'd always regret making. Harmony is now a single mom to Keanu, the most adorable three-year-old boy. Dayton will have to live with his actions and make amends for his mistakes and hurting Harmony.

Their story is wonderfully written, sweet, angsty, and steamy; it captured and held my attention from start to end. The best part, Dayton was able to redeem himself through sheer persistence and determination. I like how Harmony knew the real Dayton and could see the man behind the façade. Their connection was definitely passionate and intimate, one worth fighting for.

Superb narration by Isabella Starr. Her depiction of the characters and their emotions was excellent. She breathed life into the characters and Hunter's words. Overall, Tequila Blues is a well-written and pretty enjoyable MC second chance romance, one I'll strongly recommend.

This book was fun! It was a good surprise! I never like new adult stuff but was interested after Bourbon Blues (book 1). I liked how Dayton evolved and was really an awesome dad. I liked how sweet and possessive he was when he finally got his head out of his ass. Glad he was celibate too before pursuing Harmony for real :)

This whole series seems to be about second chances and fighting for them, fighting for love and the journey to change those parts that didn’t work the first time. Dayton was not my favorite of the three men, he comes across very different in the other two books but I like him the best now that his real personality has been exposed. As always a book full of hard and heart.

Tequila Blues was a good book with lots of laughs but it was lacking something the other two had. Dayton was funny and Harmony was sweet but the book still fell a little short for me. I love the comedy these books provide and look forward to reading more of her work.

Thoughts: funny book, enjoyed reading about this couple and how Dayton captured harmony, strong couple, I think what I loved the most was his honesty in his hangups, especially when it came to Keanu, but how he was able to overcome them was great.

I received an advanced copy for an honest opinion

What an end to a great series! As you know from my other reviews I love this author so much, I find her characters deep, witty and very funny. Her heroes and leading ladies are very strong and loveable.

This is book 3 in the bourbon series about sisters finding love out the trailer park they live in with twin brothers and a cousin from the local MC club.
Dayton was a very intense character from previous books and was seen as the loyal but joker like brother, never taking anything but the club serious floating from club girl to club girl, whilst secretly in love with Harmony Tequila Slater. In this book we really get inside his head and it was shocking what was going through it!

Harmony has a child from a previous relationship and always had a crush on the joker twin and never thought it be anything more then having a little fun together. Boy was she wrong, Dayton is not playing around anymore, he's playing for keeps. Harmony is the hippy sister no one takes serious, but she has depth, she's a straight shooter and know what she wants for herself and her small son.

JJ is finally dealt with and Mojo and Howler are given the kick up the arse that's needed to hand over the reins the the brothers. Happy Endings all round!!!

Together Harmony and Dayton are dynamite, such a good read can't wait to see what ms hunter will come out with next.

Thank you for the chance to review your book Bijou Hunter, you're great!

Oh ... I loved this book. Dayton totally wasn't the manwhore that I assumed him to be. He and Harmony were perfect together. And the way he fell in love with Keanu was so adorable.
Bijou Hunter just has this way of sucking you into a book and making you feel like you are a part of the story. You live in Lush Gardens or at the condo. You join them for a drink at Red Barn Bar or Salty Peanuts. It's this way with every book she writes and I love it. Bijou's characters aren't perfect but they are perfectly relatable to real life. The situations she writes about and the dialogue are just so easy and flow so well that I sit down to read a few chapters and can't put the book down until I'm done.

I can't wait for her next book.

Oh, I will miss the Serrated Brotherhood boys now the trilogy is complete. I have waited semi patiently for Dayton and Harmony's story. From the glimpses of him in the first two books, I knew he was being underestimated by those around him.
He has held a candle for Harmony for many years, only for his immaturity to sabotage any hope of a relationship. I wasn't sure if he was strong enough to be the man she needed, but wow did he step up.
Harmony is strong and independent, but allowed herself to become vulnerable to let love blossom.
This couple together are dynamite, they spark off of each other. They are my favourite couple of the series.

I can't wait to see what comes next from the mind of this author. I do know I will be first in line to read it. She is so readable. I know I can trust Bijou to deliver a great read.

Dayton and Harmony

I've read every book in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one also. Dayton is the exact douchebag (on the outside) that I thought he would be. Excellent writing allowed him to become a true hero for Harmony. As it turns out, Dayton has a warm and gooey center.
Harmony is a single mom and that takes center stage in this book. Her son Keanu plays a prominent role in this story. That is something I loved about this book. I've read single parent stories before and been so disappointed that the child's character is hardly ever present nor accounted for. I can assure you that every decision Harmony makes is based around how it will effect her son.

I've waited a long time for Dayton and Harmony and it was so worth the wait is devoured it in one sitting. You think Dayton is the woman loving, not a care in the world twin but he shows a different side to himself with Harmony. She comes off as a strong woman, who knows what she wants but is afraid to reach for it. When they come together alot of different emotions come out and you're along for the ride. Seeing some many aspects of Dayton makes him my favorite
