Hammer
ham·mer ˈhamər/
verb
past tense: hammered; past participle: hammered
1.hit or beat (something) with a hammer or similar object.
2. informal attack or criticize forcefully and relentlessly.

Stone
Fighting has been engrained—hammered into me. It’s something I know all about, yet wish I knew nothing at all. For the last seventeen of my twenty-seven years, hurt has fueled my desire in the ring. But I want better. I’ve paid my dues. I want far away from this life. I thought I finally had my chance and then corruption threatened to take it away. I’m no stranger to challenge; it just makes me more determined to come out on top—of my world and her. She thinks we’re from opposites sides of the track, and she’s right. But we’re both blinded by pain, and I see hers. I’ve fought plenty of fights and Lydia Norberg may prove to be my strongest opponent yet.
Lydia
I craved a man’s hands on me for no other reason than pure, unadulterated lust. No hidden expectations of more, just pleasure, anything to take my mind off my reality and send me into orbit around a brighter place. So I took a chance by attending an Elite party—young professionals looking for sex, no strings attached. At first glance, they all looked pretty boring until I saw him. I only knew him as Stone, no last names, no personal information exchanged; those were the rules. Little did I know, he represents everything I desire and everything I fear.

Hammered
by Rose Hudson

ROSE HUDSON….where has this Rose Hudson been all this time?! This is a totally different Rose. I mean I loved her other two books, but this one…. this one is by FAR the BEST one. I believe this one is going to be the one that puts Rose Hudson on the map and definitely puts her on my automatic one-click author list.

Hammered had a bit of everything; and at only 12% in, had my heart just hammering in my chest. The intensity between Lydia and Stone from the beginning was something of epic proportions. This was definitely a brand new side of Rose, one that i have never seen before and I am definitely NOT complaining.

I was privileged enough to have been selected to Beta read this, along with a fabulous group of women. If only you were privy to our chat thread…”It’s so f@cking good!!” “It’s amazing!!” “I couldn’t put it down and then the friggen family wanted supper?! WTF?!” …Okay, so that last one was me…but the general consensus was that we, as a group, couldn’t wait for people to read this. This one will hit you like a hammer. It has everything!! Mystery, intrigue, off the charts sex scenes, without going overboard, but they are still f@cking intense. There are some seriously swoon worthy moments that will undoubtedly steal your heart and have you mourning the loss of your ovaries…those f@ckers will be exploding!

Initially, I wasn't too sure about Lydia, felt that she was too naive and innocent; but as the chapters rolled on, I couldn't help but admire her “beachball sized lady nuts” ( yes, this was taken from TWD, but it was a great line and i needed to be used!)
I could go on and on about the things I loved about this book, but I’m going to stop now before I spoil it for you and believe me I want to keep talking about it!! So for now I’m going to shout from the roof tops, well from my proverbial FB rooftop, known as my blog, to everyone and anyone who will listen to me…GO READ HAMMERED BY ROSE HUDSON!!! And after you’ve read it be sure to tell all your friends about it!!!

As I read Hammered all I can think of is this can't only be Rose Hudson's third book.
Rose introduces us to Lydia Norberg & Stone "Hammer" Keeling. Two incredible characters that will have you intrigued from the very first page right up until you see the words The End.
Lydia Norberg is a young woman who has led a privileged life, an attorney, a wonderful friend to Madison and just trying to find the right path in life.
Stone Keeling is a successful business owner, a great brother and a man trying to leave behind a past and moving forward with his future.
One night can change the course of your life and that is what happens when Lydia & Stone meet. The chemistry between the two steams Up the pages along with the sheets. But can chemistry be all they have. Everything can change in a instant and when Lydia finds out about Stone's past can she see past it and move forward or will circumstances keep them apart and miss out what could have been. You will see the struggles the two of them go through and even question their relationship but sometimes outside forces make you open your eyes to see what is really in front of you.
As you fall in love with these two incredible characters you can't help fall for the friendship between Lydia & Madison. You will see the true meaning of friendship and how circumstances can change the course of your entire life.
When reading Hammered I felt that Rose gave us two incredible stories in one book. If you are looking for a book that will you leave you with all the feels and want to take a chance on a new author then don't hesitate to read Hammered.

There is nothing more exciting as a reader, than to see the tremendous growth of an author. I love it when they take chances and exceed your expectations. For me, Author Rose Hudson did this with her new novel Hammered. She completely let go and wrote her best novel to date.

Lydia and Stone are intense characters who come together at a chance encounter. They take us on a passionate journey, as they overcome their greatest fears. Along the way, lustful moments steal your heart and breath.

Hammered is a beautiful book about sacrifice, trusting your intuition, and forgiveness. I look forward to the continuation of this heart stopping series.

What an amazing job creating a story and place the was new and refreshing!

I want to BE Lydia and RELATE to Stone. Their story had so much heart and integrity, even in the face of adversity! They were both working through problems the only way they knew how.

They also created so much steam together with their hot as hell chemistry.

You DO NOT want to miss out!

Lydia has been through a traumatic experience and has a lot going on her life. When she sees Stone “Hammer” the first time she thinks she might need to let loose and have some fun for a change. After Stone’s brother gets into trouble, Lydia’s law firm is called into play. Is it ethical for Lydia to see a client? And with what Stone is wrapped up in, can Lydia get over something that’s affected her family so strongly?

“Her eyes darken and she reaches down to touch herself where we’re joined together.

It brings out the animal in me.

Placing my feet on the floor, I grab her legs and pull her to the edge, turning her over and putting her feet flat on the floor. My chest meets her back and I whisper in her ear.

‘When we fuck, I take care of you.’ I ease back inside her, pulling out and loving how fucking wet she is, loving the way she glistens off my dick between us. ‘I want to make you come. It makes my dick very happy.’”

Lindsey: With the blurb alone I was interested in this one!

Robin: Same here! Fighter…HOT fighter? Yep…sign me up.

Lindsey: Hell yeah! Sassy lawyer and hot fighter…I’m in. And then after I started reading I was like holy freakin hell!!!!

Robin: I have to say legit…one of the hottest, sexiest books I’ve read this year. Stone is really skilled at dirty talking and licking to the center of that tootsie pop.

Lindsey: HAHA! I fell for him instantly! He’s hot as hell and all alpha male. I wanted to eat him up! And that mouth of his…LAWD HAVE MERCY! I want to be Lydia when I grow up!

Robin: Same here! She is probably one of the strongest and feistiest female heroines I’ve ran across. She fights for her family and the people she loves.

Lindsey: I connected to her so much! Her “giver” personality is a lot like mine. So I understood where she was coming from with a lot of the things that were happening. Her family is always first. And she loves so fiercely. No matter how much things hurt HER she keeps on trucking and making the best of the situation.

Robin: I totally agree. And she wasn’t going to just let people who try to bully the system win. She plays smart but tough. I’m quite impressed. Not only with her but Stone as well. That man has a lot of integrity and love for his family as well. He’s a protector. I can’t wait to find out more about his brothers. THORN??? OMG!

Lindsey: Stone is by far one of the best book men I’ve read in a while. He’s a tough cookie to read and so is Lydia. Both so freakin stubborn! I had to laugh at them a little. THORN is gonna be epic! He was so damn funny in this book. I can’t wait to see what his is all about. And what kind of woman he ends up with. Will she be a firecracker? Or will she be a meek little thing?

Robin: That’s it for our book menage…buy Hammered now so you can meet your new favorite book boyfriend. If Stone doesn’t do it for you, I promise Thorn is waiting to step in and take over. Tag team!

Lindsey: Don’t miss this one! One of my favorites for the year so far!

Stone didn’t have a good life growing up and definitely wants different for his younger brothers. Lydia has had a good life growing up and has the job she always wanted. Stone and Lydia meet when they both attend this party thrown by someone they both know. The attraction between the both of them is immediate and they both know they want more. After that night neither one thinks that they will see each other again but circumstances with Stone’s younger brother will bring them back into each other's lives.

I thought this was a great read. Stone and Lydia thought the night they spent together was just that one night and nothing more but circumstances are going to be back in each other’s lives. Stone loves the life that he has now and has worked hard but he is drawn back into the life that he has left in the pass. Lydia doesn’t like that life but she is drawn to Stone and doesn’t think she can stay away from him. I loved their chemistry and attraction. Stone was definitely an alpha and wanted a better life than he had. Lydia was also a very stroking and independent woman who knew what she wanted out of life. I loved both of their characters and they were well suited for each other. I can’t wait to read more of this series!!!

Chicago. Windy City. Chi-Town. Rose Hudson’s “Hammered” is set in Chicago and OMG, if the men of Chicago are anything like Stone “Hammer” Keeling, the ladies of Chicago are very lucky. Stone made my heart beat a little faster, my mind fantasize, and my imagination run wild.

This is Rose Hudson’s third book and is her best work to date. Well written, the story was engaging and the characters were well developed and exceptional. The brilliantly crafted story line was fantastic and made for a gratifying read. Rose has a true talent, and the way she draws you into this story with these characters held me captive.

Stone and Lydia’s unique meeting is as distinctive as the two characters themselves. Lydia has had all the advantages of life while Stone has had none. While both profess that they don’t want or need any entanglements, they cannot deny their chemistry. They may want each other, but outside forces and sometimes their own stubbornness, have a nasty way of pulling them further apart.

Lydia has taken on obligations that necessitate that she look at all aspects of her life before she can move on with her life and possibly, Stone. Her devotion to BFF, Madison, is what all of us want from the ones we call friends.

There are so many layers to the story and Ms. Hudson weaves them into an engaging read. You can feel the emotions that the characters are experiencing: the lust, the despair, the happiness, and the lust. Yeah, I know that I said lust twice, but the hotness of this book is off the charts!

I cannot recommend this book enough. It is everything you want. The first in a trio of books based on the Keeling brothers , this book is a great start and definitely a MUST READ.

Hudson's Hammered really nails you to your seat while reading this book! I was absolutely engaged from the first page til the last page and couldn't put it down. This book as it all!!! The first couple chapters are like a prologue, setting up the rest of the book for you, introduceing you to the characters and how they are and what they are about but in a way that is new and refreshing. Then it's goes to dual pov's and I love dual pov's. It gives you a chance to really get to know both of the main characters. Also the backstory on both characters are on par in this book!! You know exactly where they have been and what makes them tick and why they are the way they are. This just steps this book up to the next level and I wish I could give it so many more stars than just 5!! I mean I was mesmerized by the detail and the words that I could not stop reading this book!!!! This is my favorite Rose Hudson book!! And I'm excited for more from her.
I think Rose has found her groove and there is nothing going to stop her now and Hammered is just the book to put her on the map!! And I loved her first two books so that is saying something!! I definitely recommend this book!!! It's hawt, intense, and everything you can possibly want in a book so go buy it and see what I'm talking about!!!

I had the privilege of reading an early copy of this book, and all I can say is WOWZA!
The chemistry between these two characters was something else. Lydia was such a strong woman and Stone was an amazing man. both were fiercely loyal, with an ingrained need to take care of the people they cared about, including each other. This story was riveting, emotional, and intriguing.
I have read and loved her previous books, and this one is no different. I am excited to see what Rose Hudson brings to the table next.

OMG this book is a must read. Rose you blew this out of the park! Set in Chicago. Stone is a hot sexy MMA who's had a hard start in life but is fighting his way out. Lydia a feisty , sexy lawyer with a heart of gold but a little bit judgy! She would do anything for friends and family and a lot on her shoulders. They meet at a singles party with the intention of just a fling but boy do the sparks fly!

This book is real, hot ,gritty and rollercoaster of emotion. You will love these characters and people that they love. Everyone needs to read this.

Booklandia Inhabitants , I've found a favorite new author!!!
Rose , you are a discovery cause you write like a MoFo!! Did not expect this hard storyline to have a soft Centre like a chewy toffee.
Stone "The Hammer" Sorrels is a man you say Hallelujah and an Amen for.
I’ll never forget the look on Stone’s face when he opens the door and sees me standing there. Like every ending to all my favorite books added together. Like the beginning and the future of my life.
I couldn't have imagined a better metaphor for this my new BBF!!
Hard, tough, alpha, strong, sexy, fighter, undefeated champ of underground and a heart as big as all outdoors, with infinite capacity to love and take care of his loved ones. Even at his own expense. Wow ! could there be a more perfect man. He's been a caretaker of his younger brothers Thorn & Rush , ever since they were in foster home with Celia and Jerry Sorrels. They are the saving grace for these brothers, even though Stone doesn't acknowledge Jerry's role as much. His fighting days are over , because he wants to safely veer his brothers away from this dangerous underground. But twist of fate and he's back , right in the cesspool, more stuck than ever.
He meets Lydia Norberg, a budding Attorney at a party, or a tinder party of sorts. No strings attached sex ,pick your partner and buh-bye. Lydia has been working her ass off , cause she's trying to over compensate for the guilt that's been eating at her.
Their paths cross and how. But conflict of interest keeps them at a distance, they choose to create between them , and constantly fight too.
“I’m scared of two things. Heights—”
“And you.”
“Why is that?”
“Because I could fall hard from either one.”

They have some pretty awesome , hot steamy sex and my fave -Anal !
I can say, my gym doesn't offer services like that ;p
A fantastic story. Some very very smart writing , I really loved reading. In a sea of cliché books, Rose stands out like a refreshing breeze
I’ll never forget the look on Stone’s face when he opens the door and sees me standing there. Like every ending to all my favorite books added together. Like the beginning and the future of my life.
The Mighty Hammer has been Hammered at the hands of the greatest lover, enemy, friend and opponent I have or will ever know. And winning the only fight that’s ever been worth fighting.
I so enjoyed reading this book at full speed, I couldn't put it down , couldn't leave these characters alone for a minute, and it may be my first from rose, but it's DEFINITELY not the last !

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Wonderfully Hammered Stars

Wanna Get HAMMERED?!
Yessss Please!!! This story is fantastic!! It has so many different elements that sprout from different parts of the story and it is absolutely amazing how smoothly they were all brought together. Stone and Lydia, I'm in love with them. From the sex, to the tension, the love and feelings between the two left me weak at the knees.

Lydia the rich girl who seemed to have it all really has some deep issues of trust and guilt throughout this book. This poor girl shows the world what it is to be a selfless, loving and caring person. She has not one bone of selflessness in her body. Lydia's back story with her best friend Madi will have your heart breaking and feelings of amazement at the same time.

Stone is the Hot Fighter, determined to do whatever it takes to care for his loved ones! He's the leader of the pack for his family and proves himself so throughout this entire story. He's a strong intimidating man with a big heart! You will fall in love with not only him but his brothers too.

Rose you really out did yourself with this book!! I've been a fan from the beginning and love your first two books but this blew my mind!! The story you just created is fantastic!! I'm super proud of you and can't wait to see what Thorn's story is all about!!❤

Stone and Lydia-
"Lovers to Enemies to Friends to...
SoulMates"
What a great story. This is my first book by Rose Hudson that I read and I am an instant fan. Hammered is more than a book about an underground fighter that falls in love with a weathy lawyer. HAMMERED is about family and friendship and the sacrifices we make to save them. It's about how prejudices against class or jobs can stop us from being who we really are or meant to be with. It's about having that needy attraction for one another where the chemistry is off the charts and the Sex is HOT! It's about Corruption, Passion, Heartbreak, Survival... See..SO MUCH MORE!! I honestly loved this story because it was so detailed, it is not a quick read and I felt like I was there experiencing everything with these characters. Stone and Lydia's characters captured my heart but also Madi & Celia & Thorn (who I can't wait to read more about!!) The Story flowed smoothly and I never was left wondering or confused. HAMMERED is a sexy page turner I am definitely recommending this book!

I received Hammered as an ARC for an honest review.
Wow!!!!! First off, this book is not a quick read. Hammered is a full length novel so get ready to enjoy some great reading time with a beautiful HEA!!! Second, the protagonists are wonderful and real. Both Lydia and Stone were fantastic and I loved following their journey together. I loved all the connections with friends/family and how those very connections shaped their relationship and their love grew throughout the story. Definitely read this book if you want all the feels!!! This is my first book from Rose Hudson but it sure won't be the last! ❤️

Hammered absolutely floored me. This book will take you through every emotion possible. This is Rose's third book, but her writing is phenomenal.

Stone has shot straight to the top of my book boyfriend's list. I may have even named a new toy I'd just gotten after him. (; Lydia is an amazing character. She's such a strong woman, and the sacrifices she made were amazing.

I would recommend this book to EVERYONE. Do you like fighter books? Read Hammered. Do you like wonderful, dynamic characters? Read Hammered. Do you enjoy witty dialogue? Read Hammered? Do you love sexy, ridiculously hot scenes? Read Hammered!

5 amazing stars!

SIT BACK, LEAN BACK OR JUST LAY BACK & PREPARE YOURSELF TO BE DRILLED, NAILED AND JACK HAMMERED ALL IN ONE SITTING BECAUSE IT’S “HAMMERED” TIME. ✫✫✫✫✫

NO SPOILERS HERE….. I am so happy I read this book. It is chuck full of every I love in a romance and then some….. Stone and Lydia- let’s just say, they take you on a journey towards happiness that was not easily achieved but every bit as exciting on every page I turned. What starts out as a business transaction, albeit a sexy one, leads to so much more….. The story line was exceptional. The Hero and Heroine- completely believable.

There is so much going on and packed into this story that it would be easy to get lost in all the twists but the way the author blended those into the main story line was, in my opinion, genius. She not only left me wanting more of Stone and Lydia but also craving more from the supporting characters such as Madi and Liam. All the parents involved were intricately weaved throughout the story….Brilliant I thought. Actually, all the characters in this book sink their teeth into you and keep you reading…….

I especially loved the way Lydia commits herself to her life altering decisions and see them carried out. The lead characters are fiercely loyal and will do just about anything for the ones they love. The same goes for Stone….. He has to make decisions that affect those he loves…. That’s where his MMA background comes in and the villains appear, both old and new.

This story has its villains that you just love to hate, tragic pasts, unspeakable and debilitating tragedies, hopelessness, angst, heartbreak (I cried more than one ugly cry). I felt like I was right there with them, feeling the emotions, and there were plenty of them. Love, forgiveness and the fight for life are paramount in this story…

Just when things look hopeless, miracles shine through victoriously and, well, ugly cries emerge…. AGAIN! (I loved that)…. Even as I recall the events while writing this review, I’m tearing up and getting chills….. That’s when you know you’ve got a winner and author Rose Hudson delivered for sure……

What this book left me with was the feeling that no matter what life throws at you, hope is always right there, waiting until the time is right to show its face. In this book, love comes in many versions. Not everything is what it seems…… right up until the very last page.

Oh, let’s not forget to mention the sexy time…. OMG!!!! Hot…. Explosive…… Electric…. Let’s just say your girly parts will be bursting at the seams.

So, sit back, lean back, or just lay back and prepare yourself to be drilled, nailed and jack hammered all in one sitting because it’s “HAMMERED” time! 5 emotional stars. ✫✫✫✫✫

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book but I also purchased my own copy. “One-Click your copy of this emotionally driven and heartwarming story.

Hammered
Rose Hudson
Author review
5 of the most amazing stars ever.

Rose Hudson where have you been all my life? I’ve clearly been missing out on an amazing author, but now I’ve found her, she will always be a one click, no questions. Hammered was just that good... This was my 1st read from Rose and to say I was happy and surprised would be an understatement. At 30% I knew this would a fantastic story and it only got better. Hammered is a journey you must take. Stone and Lydia will push you to live, love, cry, scream and teach you nothing is for certain.

2 soles from totally different backgrounds, Lydia comes from a privileged home, grew up with her hippie like best friend, Madison and had everything she wanted. As the daughter of a top lawyer, she never wanted for anything , but was pushed by her father. With fun loving Madison at her side life was perfect. Until Madi was no longer by her side, taken away by an underground fighter, she now lays in a coma with very little signs of life. Her past will forever haunt every dream she has – now almost 9 months on, she still visits Madi every day hoping for something, but that part of her life will be forever a nightmare, but paving way for new life. Taking the role of assistant to her father and Madi’s father at their law firm, everything Lydia works towards is about to change for the better. All work and no play makes Lydia a boring friend.

Stone has worked extremely hard for his way in life, as an underground fighter for 17 yrs, he has removed himself from that life, and opened his own gym and taken over a building company, he is now wealthy, smart and sexy as hell. Keeping himself in shape is top priority and he trains everyday. His past made him the man he is today, tough love, brutality and the love of his brother’s, Stone pushes himself to be better. But better, and being the best comes at a price... when his younger brother, Rush is picked up for illegal fighting, Stone is about to find himself knee deep in everything he has tried so hard to remove.

One night, and one chance meeting at a Elite meeting, where professionals meet up for no strings sex. The chemistry at 1st sight almost melted my eReader. After a quick introduction, a card given and the formalities over, Lydia disappears into the night. Leaving no question Stone calls her and the pair meet up. Easy no strings sex, should have perfect but quickly those lines blur. With both characters having their own dramas in life, those blurred lines are not something either can deal with.

But life never makes it easy, Lydia and Stone will push through, have earth shattering sex with do many benefits and fight like nothing else. 2 strong characters mean there will always be drama, but together they will fight to clear Rush, help Madi and her gorgeous little boy whom Lydia takes under her wing. Stone realises that the single life is not what he wants, Lydia pushes him to want more.... want everything. He must decide if coming clean will lose the love of his life or will the lies and secrets ruin everything with Lydia.

4.5 HAMMERED Stars for Rose Hudson!

“Her lips. It seems so fucking intimate and I’m not intimate. But when the wetness from her tongue glistens from the reflection of the city lights seeping through the window, I suddenly want to eat Chicago from her lips.”

I didn’t know much about this book before diving in and I found the beginning of the book a little hard to follow and lacking an organized flow. This made me a little skeptical to continue but that quickly changed when I was halfway through Chapter 2 and I was hooked and on the edge of my sit from there on out – I couldn’t put it down.

Hammered follows the story of Lydia Norberg and Stone ‘Hammer’ Keeling. Lydia is the rich girl who on the outside appears to have it all but you quickly learn that she is dealing with some significant personal matters. Stone is the hot, hunky fighter who is willing to risk it all in order to help his family. This story line is like no other. At first I thought that this was going to be like every other run of the mill bad boy, lawyer/client romance but I was wrong. Rose quickly takes the ordinary and turns it extraordinary. She keeps you turning that page, waiting and unsuspecting of what comes next.

All throughout this book there is a reoccurring theme that deals with stereotypes and the preconception that one’s class or job has ruling over who you are, what others think of you and what one deserves. This helps build the constant back and forth between Stone and Lydia and creates the undeniable chemistry between the two characters. The attraction and chemistry is one that is so hot, steamy and intense that you’ll be fanning yourself in now time.

“’If you’re not in control, who is?”
‘You.’
‘You sure about that?’
He leans down, running his nose along my collar bone and up to my ear, breathing me in. I nod without question.
‘Don’t say I didn’t warn you.’”

This quote perfectly describes my emotions while reading this book. I was not in control of them at all! Rose Hudson did an amazing job at playing puppet master with my emotions Haha I was all over the place with this book – what a roller coaster ride of emotions – from crying, laughing to wanting to throwing my Kindle at the wall in frustration at the characters but I loved every minute of it!

“Somewhere along the way this lover, turned enemy, turned friend, stole my heart, and I wouldn’t take it back if she handed it to me on a silver fucking platter.”

Hammered is the first book in the series that surrounds three incredibly, drool-worthy brothers and if this first book is any indication then I cannot wait for the next one!! This book is a definite recommend and a must read!

4.5 fighting stars!
What a emotional ride! This was my first read of Hudson's but definitely won't be my last.
Stone & Lydia couldn't be more opposite if they tried yet the two are more alike than they know. Stone has been fighting in the underground since he was teenager. The oldest of three boys, he's lived his entire life looking out for his younger brothers. Stone "retired" from the underground over a year ago and enjoys spending his time working his businesses and building his professional name/reputation up. Dating and committing himself to a relationship is not something he has time for.
Lydia is the only daughter to her parents but has been raised aside her fathers best friend's daughter since birth (making her like a sibling). Madison has been in the hospital for 6 months in a coma caused from a beating her boyfriend gave her. Lydia works as an assistant at their fathers law firm by day and spends evenings at the hospitals in hopes of her sister waking up. Lost within herself, dating is the last thing she has time for. Helaena is a good friend of the family and works in the same building as her fathers practice. She invites (more like demands) Lydia to a New Year's Eve party for the members of the Elite Club ("We meet once, twice a month. No last names, no business talk. Just light conversation, and if you meet a match, multiple orgasms.”-Helaena).
I won't spoil this for anyone but it's a helluva good read!

I just loved this book! This book had all the angst, heat, lust and love that you can pack into a book. These characters were both deeply flawed but there reasons were genuine.

Stone and Lydia come from very different places. Stone, an underground fighter who has pulled himself up and out of hardship and is hell bent on protecting those closest to him. Lydia a newly minted lawyer who has lived a privileged life experiencing every high and low with her best friend. She is set up to work at her father's law firm. Tragedy befalls her best friend and it forces Lydia to make some hard choices. Stone faces is own challenges and needs to decide if returning to his old life is his only choice.

Even though neither is looking for love, their chemistry is undeniable and regardless of the obstacles that find their way together.

Highly recommend this book 5+ Stars!

This was my first read from this author, but it definitely won't be my last! Hammered was everything I loved in a book in the most unexpected and surprising combination that I couldn't have possibly predicted. Of course Stone and Lydia's relationship starts out with a bang (a super hot and steamy one at that), but then it progresses to a bit of a forbidden romance, giving the characters a chance to build a solid emotional foundation to build their relationship on. After reading hundreds of books, I'm always looking for something in the story that I haven't found anywhere else before and I found it in this book. Hammered gets all 5 stars for the delightfully super sexy times, gut-wrenching feels and original story line.

Eeekkk I found a new author to read !!! Fuck me Hammered by Rose Hudson is soooo good.

This book is a hot as sin instant chemistry I'm talking take your clothes off cause you feeling faint from Stone and his presence.

"I want to do so much more than touch you, I want to fucking ruin you." 💦💦💦💦💦

It's not just the chemistry though that makes this book so damn good. It's how these two meet, how these two are with each other and how these two end up at the end of it.

I loved the interaction with Stone and Lydia. I loved their individual stories in this as well what they are going through. While they had instant physical chemistry emotionally it was a slow burn and it was sooooo good. Fuck I can't even put the words together to describe the book other than that it was fucking good.

And that ending.... ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Fucking perfect.

I will instantly read the rest of this series as soon as they are written.

DNF at 35%. And while that's usually too soon to fairly leave a rating, I think this time it's ok.

The cover got me, and the premise as well. Who doesn't love a UFC fighter book. Yeah, but that's not what this is. Stone is the oldest of three brothers and a 27 year old ex street fighter turned contractor. He makes a comfy living and also owns a gym. His middle brother is his business partner and the youngest is a HS senior. Lydia is a newly minted attorney whose BFF has been in a coma for last 6 month. Her former Beau, a UFC fighter, beat her nearly to death and Lydia found her. So that's Lydia's hang up. Oh and the BFF is preggers w said guys baby. Even in the coma. Lydia has no life always visiting her vegged out BFF and working at her daddy's law firm, so she attends a no strings no names party where people scour Chicago's wealthy and elite for a sex partner. No relationships and no last names, just unattached sex for busy professionals. She meets Stone at said party and they hook up, then they cuddle. Yep. See Stone doesn't want a girlfriend and Lydia is too busy for men, but they have repeats until Stone's brother gets in trouble and they use Lydia's firm. Now it's all out of the bag. And Lydia is a judgemental uppity bitch over Stone's past and he grows a vagina pining after her. All this and only a third the way through.

The book feels like it's part of a series or is setting up for one and while it's touted as able to read as stand alone, I constantly feel like I'm missing something. Also, more than once the author has misused a word and don't get me started on the double negative. It's just all nonsense. I'm out. I'm also out $3.99.

Congratulations Rose Hudson! You've got a new fan girl! You are a absolute mastermind! This book is everything! You guys don't hesitate...this is a must read.

She is a new author to me and this is my first read of hers. I clicked to follow author when I was scrolling down to start my review. And I'll be going back to check our her previous books as well. I read in a few reviews that this is her best work yet and she has hit her stride. I have no doubt about that whatsoever!

It's not very often you find a story that has so many layers plus all these fantastic, complex, intertwined lives. Not only do we read Lydia & Stone's journey. We also get to know both their families plus Lydia's best friend Madi and her parents. And little Liam. Gah. And Bruno. Fantastically written main characters and probably the best supporting characters I've read in a very long time. (Makes for perfect spin offs too! hint hint) So well written I just can gush enough about how rare this is. And how these stories unfold is so original. I fell in love at the beginning of this book and cannot believe where the storyline takes you by the end.

When a book gives you ALL the feels, you know you have a winner. Let me tell you Lydia & Stone's story did just that. When they were hot for each other, I was panting. When they were unsure of their feelings, I felt the angst build. When you're unsure if they can make it work, I felt the heartbreak. And when they find their HEA I felt an overwhelming amount of joy.

I received an advanced copy of Hammered and it's an honor to provide an honest review.

Wow, what an intensely satisfying book! This story starts off with a bang as Stone and Lydia take advantage of their instant attraction all while trying to keep their personal lives and emotions out of the mix. They're not very successful, though, as the story keeps throwing them together at every opportunity and they're forced to become more invested than they thought they wanted. Sounds a little cliche', but in the hands of this skilled author the action is quite believable. The emotions are deep and heartfelt - we're not just given the who, what, when, where - we're given a generous helping of why as the details give us so much more backstory and inner monologue than usual. This only adds depth to the story, making the reader feel every emotional decision that the characters did. Don't get me wrong - there's a lot of action to this story, too. It's almost an epic-level book that is filled with family and legal drama, political corruption, redemption, but with a very strong love story at its core. Lydia is strong enough to stand up to Stone, and even strong enough to know when not to stand up to him. Stone knows he's met his match with Lydia, and he can let her have all the lead she wants without ever looking weak himself. It's a rare feat for an author to have such complex characters in what some might think is just another love story. This was a real treat to read, although "read" seems a rather tame word for what I experienced - it felt more like I lived the story right along side the characters. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

It's hawt, intense, and everything you can possibly want in a book so go buy it and see what I'm talking about!!!- Tina

Hammered
By Rose Hudson
5 Stars

Well my goodness… There is one song I keep Singing over and over in my head after reading this book….

If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning
I'd hammer in the evening, all over this land
I'd hammer out danger, I'd hammer out a warning
I'd hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters all over this land

Because truly, I haven’t been Hammered till NOW!!!
Holy Hotness!!! Someone put out the fire I have between my legs…This Hot as Sin Alpha does and says all the right things. Even more, he has a brain!!!

But then again so does Lydia. The young aspiring lawyer following in her father’s footsteps doesn’t know what hits her the first time she was nailed by the hammer! It was truly unlike any nailing she had encountered before!!

The story was full of determination, survival, loyalty and so much more!!!
Hammered was my first book to read by Rose Hudson and certainly not my last!!!
