Fandom: Harry Potter -------------------------------------------------- 7 year old Luna wants a husband, and she wants one now. With the unintended help of her befuddled father, she kidnaps Harry Potter.
There's so much wrong with this story, but it really jumps the shark during the Goblet of fire incident. I was able to ignore or forgive the various pieces of nonsensical worldbuilding, bad dialogue, and internal inconsistencies, until it reached a big threshold with the Triwizard tournament.
Luna put Harry's actual life in danger, and yet he's the one that has to apologize - for *not talking to her* for a few days? Luna goes from unhealthily codependent to just plain manipulative there; this is the sort of thing emotional abusers do, making the other person in the relationship take up the blame and feel guilty, for simply responding to the abuser's mistakes.
There are a few good parts to the story, but overall it's not worth the time and energy spent reading it. Perhaps this is an attempt to outdo the Twilight series on relationship creepiness-factor; and it can be argued that it succeeds in that, at least due to the much younger ages involved.
I think that this could be a nice story for someone else. I found it to be an odd mesh of slice of life and haphazardly altered canon. The start of the Triwizard arc was a distinct low point while Bellatrix was the pinnacle of this fanfic.
There seemed to be a lot of inconsistencies, but it wasn't worth the effort to unravel mistakes and random changes.
