This is an older man/younger woman romance featuring Smith and Carly. Smith is Carly’s former step-father and unbeknownst to her, he’s been waiting and pining for her to be old enough to pursue since he left her mother several years ago.
Carly is in the process of being kicked out of her father’s home to make room for wife number whatever. She’s interviewing for any jobs she can find, but with her lack of experience, no one wants to take a chance on her.
When Smith sees the beautiful, young woman of his fantasies waiting in his lobby for an interview, he sets his plan into motion. He will make Carly his no matter what.
Carly definitely returns his feelings and is insanely attracted to Smith, but she’s not so keen on the arrangement that Smith is proposing. She has more self-respect that that and wants a real relationship with him, or at least one that has the potential of becoming something long-lasting.
The chemistry and steam between them is electric. Will Smith be able to convince Carly to mix business and pleasure or is he better off sticking with his prototypes?
I loved the boss/ex-stepfather/alpha with the young, inexperienced woman, but his business ventures veered towards creepy for me, but that’s likely just a personal preference. It works into the story well, it just really caught me off guard.
Standalone, steamy novella. No cliffhanger. Happy Ending.

This was short and sexy. She used to watch him work out when he was married to her mom, but they haven't seen each other in years. She ends up getting a job at his office and he wants her for a very special position. She calls him daddy, which he tells her not to but you can tell he totally likes it. Good guilty pleasure read. I read this is one sitting.

Carly needs to move out of her dad's house so first on the list is to get a job. Will her new role include giving her boss a 'job', too? Even for a short read, you could see a difference from innocent Carly in the beginning to a maturing woman by the end.
I enjoyed the fantastical office environment - it was very interesting and imaginative.

This book is hot and unpredictable! Nothing like I have read before but so, so good!! Not everything is what it seems and there is a whole lot of chemistry between these two that will have you breaking out in a sweat!!

Mia Madison never disappoints. This book is full of action from the first page. Short but good.
A book with erotic scenes and lots of laughing and grins. Tells about fates who you gets to know. Lots of chemistry between the main characters.
Scenes really well written so they bring the reader into the story.
Despite it's a book with a virgin and a man who is a little older than her, this is not a topic that takes over the storyline.
Definitely one of my favorites.

DNF'g at 50%. So bad, bad dialogue, no character development. Trying to hard to be sexy and failing. Former stepfather and stepdaughter. Could have been done better.

Carly hasn't had a real great time growing up. Her parents divorced years ago and have both been remarried so many times. Her mom 4 and her dad 6. So with those role models, Carly doesn't believe in love. When she was sixteen, she would spend 3 weeks with her Dad and one with her Mom. At this time her Mom was married to Smith. He was a very attractive, well built, sexy man. There wasn't much love between the 2 of them after they married. Smith always had a secret lust for Carly even though he knew it was wrong. He never did anything about it. She never knew he was looking after her or how he felt. Well Carly felt the same way about him and would sneak down the stairs while he was working out in his gym that was built in their basement. Now that she is in her 20's her father thinks it's time for her to go out and get a job instead of waiting at home drinking latte's and getting her nails done. Her mother feels that she should wait and marry a rich man. Carly applies for an internship and goes in for the interview except it's over after 2 questions. The HR person doesn't even look at her when she tells her thank you for coming in. The company just so happens to be owned by Smith so when he sees Carly there, he insists that she is to be hired. Comes to find out that they turned her away which doesn't set well with him. He demands that they call her back and hire her for a job but not tell her the company or who she will be working for. Guess who will be her boss? What will happen with their attraction that they had all those years ago? Is it right that he was married to her mom and was once his stepdaughter? Carly is a virgin, what will Smith think of this? What type of job will she be hired for? I recommend that you purchase this book because I cannot go into anymore detail without giving away the story and the steamy, provocative scenes that unfold before your eyes with a few surprises. It's a must read.. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this copy.

Smith wanted her 5 years ago, but at the time was married to her mom. That soon ended so he left to make his plans. Carly wanted him but didn't think anything could come of it and had no intentions to see him again. One chance meeting of him seeing her in his office building leads to wonderful things and a sexy, steamy, loving relationship. He will do anything to get the girl he wants and follows through with his wonderfully laid plans from 5 years ago. I absolutely loved this book and all other books by Mia Madison. Strange and a Bit Creepy.
This was a very strange story, unrealistic which doesn’t matter as its fiction but so different from other books by Mia, almost creepy that I actually thought I was reading another author. It was nothing like the description and personally not worth the $3.99 but l was curious enough to buy it.

This was hot, cute, frustrating, and also kinda weird. When it ended I was kinda sorry it ended. I needed one more chapter. About Carly making Smith a Daddy for real.

Ex step dad and boss taboo all in one great book? Yes please. This book is steamy and HOT. By far my favorite by this author (and I have absolutely loved everything I've ever read of hers, so that's saying something) I was lucky enough to be graced an advanced reader copy of this book and give an honest review.

Smith has feelings for beautiful Carly since she was 16, now adults can he really show Carly ,how he really feelings about in the office, in bed, and in his life . When Carly see Smith first time in his office at SMITHTECH, all her feelings ,thoughts and fantasies come out. Smith tells Carly the feelings , thoughts and fantasies are mutual between them. SMITHTECH building a computized machine that operates the whole building. They first time together is hot streamy explosives sex with kinky, more to come. SMITHTECH manufacturer sexy seductive secretary and now badboy bosses(SMYTHE DOLLS AND CARLA BADBOY BOSS) manufacturered humanized machines for work and play. The storyline and characters are brilliant exquisitely well written and story is drama rom-com adventures and kinky. I love and recommend this book to everyone

I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
I enjoy reading Mia's scorching stories! This wasn't one of my favorites but it still didn't stop the rush her stories instigate. My main disconnect is Carly. Something about her character I couldn't quite "get". I loved the dedication Smith has towards her though, I mean fantasy-like dedication! Still a recommended read.

This spicy story is fairly unique. It is kinky, has a slightly perverted twist and is utterly delicious! I devoured it in one sitting. It was quite a treat.

Mia Madison does it again with a short and steamy read about a woman, Carly, who had a crush on her step dad, Smith, when she was a teenager. He left without saying good-bye when she was staying with her dad during his weeks. Five years later she gets a job at his company but doesn't know that it is him that owns it & even though it's been years she still fantasizes about him. But when she arrives for her job she doesn't know what she is supposed to do so she sits in her office all day until quitting time and walks to his office. When she sees him she is surprised and Smith makes his move and the steamy scenes after.....WOW.
There is a bit of twist though and one that I enjoyed very much as to why she was hired and what her job is....you'll have to read and find out what it is and you won't be disappointed.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I love Mia's books and this one is no exception. Carly and Smith are great characters Smith is a dominant male and Carly is very sweet, the chemistry between the two is so steamy, sizzling and erotic. Some misunderstandings and hot dirty chemistry what more could you want not. I can honestly say I recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the third it what seems to be The Bossy series by Mia Madison. I found this quick and steamy book about Carly and Smith. The second ex in her mother's string of husbands. Carly has had a crush on Smith since she was 16. Smith was in a loveless marriage with her mother who is a gold digger. He left because he had feelings for Carly and knew he would have to wait his time for Carly. Fast forward five years and the two meet up again when Carly is applying for a job at one of his many companies. This time Smith is not letting Carly go and is going to let her know just how he feels about her. I recommend you pick up this book and see how it all works out for them. There are a couple of surprises as far as what Smith does in his company that make this a little of a funny read. All in all I enjoyed this book with a great HEA.
