Beyond Lanulos: Our Fifty Years with Indrid Cold
In "Beyond Lanulos," Taunia Derenberger-Bowman, daughter of Woody Derenberger, continues the story begun by her father 50 years ago, when he famously encountered the mysterious spaceman, Indrid Cold, on Interstate 77 outside of Mineral Wells, West Virginia. According to Derenberger, Indrid Cold is still alive today!

A short, simple, straightforward, and unpretentious telling of the Indrid Cold affair. This time the story is told from the viewpoint of Woody's daughter. My biggest criticism would be the price. It's a little on the high side relative to the amount of content. Beyond Lanulos is a good companion piece to Visitors from Lanulos (read it first, and The Mothman Prophecies before that).
On a side note: I do not personally know the author, nor have we ever met. We did, however communicate a few times (some years ago) and she helped me secure a copy of her father's book, back when it was not so easily available. Never once did she give me reason to doubt her honesty with regards to these topics. She was even forthcoming in mentioning that other members of her family were not so convinced these things happened as reported. It is my opinion that her recollections are just that... recollections, and not fabrications.
Lastly: Shout out to Colvin for making this happen.

I initially bought this book for my father. We are both fans of Hellier and are fascinated by Indrid Cold's story and were curious to read the Derenbergers' accounts. Dad, like myself, was not entirely sure what to expect and to be honest, this is very much a book that you'll have to read to make your own mind up. Some of it reads like fantasy, other parts as factual.
I recently purchased Taunia's father's book, which I shall read once my dad has finished it. Perhaps that will help put the pieces of the puzzle together a bit more. This book is a short read, so I simply suggest reading it yourself to make your own mind up.
