I am a picky reader and usually only enjoy certain genres but this story took me by surprise! It has all of the elements that I love in a good book and kept me captivated until the very end! I am currently anticipating book 4 as Ive read books 2 & 3 as well and can't wait to see what the future holds for this talented author! 5 Stars!
As with many action/adventure journey books, this one follows a similar path. We meet a boy whom grows into his calling among with a group of friends who have their own abilities. Alec has a unique fate, bonded with an unusual creature and abilities ,in need of harnessing, of a paladin. Along the way the way they meet with Marec and Talia, the quest begins and action ensues. I would tell you more, but it is best to read it!
The story is a good one, the characters have lots of character and the storyline moves at a good pace. I would have placed this 5 stars if it wasn't for all the edited errors. If you could look past the little things and see the big picture, it is definitely a great one. I enjoyed the story very much.
I am already a fan of Bullen, and this story is one of those I won't soon forget. Bullen is a great story teller, and this story brings the characters to life. There is a great dimension in this epic fantasy. It's a very compelling story, with a hint of humor and gut-wrenching emotions. I look forward to reading the next books in the series.
I don’t typically read fantasy novels but a good friend highly recommended this to me and it’s fantastic, I finished it in less than two days and I can’t wait to read book two! I got pulled into this fantasy world and it’s characters!
