When was the last time you had a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit? All believers can have powerful divine encounters with the Spirit—not as isolated events but as a lifestyle in which… To experience divine encounters, you need to have a strong understanding of who the Holy Spirit is. Apostle Guillermo Maldonado clears up doubts and false concepts about the Spirit while providing striking testimonies of people transformed by their supernatural encounters. God desires to manifest Himself as our Father, Provider, Miracle Worker, Healer, Deliverer, and Defender. He also wants us to impact families, communities, and even nations for Christ. Entering into an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit will fill you with God’s love and give you a compassionate heart for a hurting world. You don’t have to be a spiritual leader, and you don’t have to be perfect, to experience the presence of God and continue the works of Jesus on earth. All you need is a powerful divine encounter with the Holy Spirit.
This is by far the best book I have ever read on God the Holy Spirit. It captures the reader with actual people and experiences from the ministry of Guillermo Maldonado. It achieves it's goal of presenting the power and demonstration of Holy Spirit God and challenges the reader to not be a hearer only of the word in the Bible. It makes the reader thirsty for the reality of a relationship with the God of power and miracles rather than settle for intellectual knowledge of the letter. Maldonado presents what can happen when we move in faith, surrender ourselves to God, and look to fulfill the command of Jesus to us to go, teach, preach, heal, cast out demons, and raise the dead by the same power that He operated in when He walked the earth among us as a man and as the Son of God.
I received “Divine Encounter with the Holy Spirit” as a Goodreads Giveaway. I signed up for it because I’ve felt for a long time The Holy Spirit was the operating force of God today and I’ve wanted to know more about Him.
The book is not what I expected but it is a powerful book. I went from not-sure-I-want-to-start-reading-this to not-wanting-people-to-see-me-reading-it to Look-what-I’m-reading.
Guillermo Maldonado is the author. I never heard of him before getting the book. Much of the book’s advocacy depends on his credibility and the truth of the miracles he reports. If you are a follower of Guillermo Maldonado, this is a must read for you.
Even if you’re not a follower, and even if you don’t believe or have reservations the miracles happened, there is much to be gained by reading this book.
Maldonado is critical of most organized religions for being too staid and not having healings and other manifestations. I want to believe what he says, but God has never spoken to me in a physical voice, I’ve never witnessed a miracle like he professes occurs, or heard people speaking in tongues.
When I started the book I expected I would stop reading at some point, but I finished it and found much to contemplate in each chapter.
It’s a well-written book, too, which helps. And I do have a better feel for the Holy Spirit after reading it, so it was a worthwhile read for me.
