Rate this book

Read chest and abdomen chapters for my radiology course. Hands down it was the best medical reference book I’ve ever read. Very simple and comprehensive text with great summarizing tables it was easy to remember after reading only once. Thanks to William Herring and of course my attending who forced us to read it!

It is a great book for 1st and 2nd year radiology residents who want to learn some basic information about all radiologic modalities. The 4th edition was greatly updated and information about ultrasound was added.

A Wonderful radiology book for students. Easy to read and process, with quality images and explanations. The organization is clear and user friendly, and it starts with the basics and works it's way up. I was able to better appreciate resident lectures because of this book.

The author is quite funny as well! You'll appreciate the sarcasm he throws in there every once in a while.

Would Definitely recommend!

Nice introduction to the various modalities in Radiology for the keen 3rd Year Medical Student, but I found the organization of the text and pictures in this book endlessly infuriating. I hate flipping back and forth to correlate the paragraph I'm reading with the findings being described! This would have been a 4 star review without that irritating component.

Hopefully the new edition fixes this problem!

Great for acquiring a basic and solid knowledge for Radiology but some general principles and the physical basis of diagnostic imaging (mandatory for my uni's syllabus) were lacking and had to seek elsewhere.

Thanks to this book, I was able to get a taste of radiology before getting experience in the field. Describes the basics of medical imaging analysis of different modalities. Organized by commonly taken radiographs of different body systems.

This book gives a very good introduction to chest radiography, I recommend it for any medical professional who wants to introduce himself to chest x-ray.

One of the best textbooks I’ve read in medical school. Detailed, but accessible. A great resource for anyone wanting an introduction to radiology.
