The holy trinity that every major drug cartel is built on. Cuba and Los – two brothers who lead of the most powerful drug cartel organization out of NYC find themselves locked in a brewing battle with longtime business rival, Don P of the Zoe Mafia organization based in Miami. Although their war ended years ago, recent events threaten to unravel a truce that stops the two major drug trafficking syndicates from spilling blood in the streets.

Sensing the looming threat, Los looks to eradicate weakness within the organization and is willing to go to great murderous lengths to punish disloyal employees. Cuba on the other hand, knowing that war ultimately is a waste of money, looks to temper his brother’s potentially destructive and authoritarian ways. While the two brothers occasionally clash on how to manage the empire, Cuba plots to take over the entire US dope game and take out his long time rival.

Jawan Houghton, a seven-year-veteran with the Miami-Dade State’s Attorney’s Office wants to destroy Don P and his Zoe Mafia organization. He sees Don P as a symbol of chaos, bloodshed and filth that pollutes the streets of the Miami. Determined to not only clean up the streets but to also make a name for himself as a future political force, Jawan readies himself and his peers to launch an all-out war against the notorious drug trafficker. But will he succeed?

Jawan’s wife, Bianca, a successful real estate executive, wrestles with loneliness and wishes that Jawan would spend more time at home. While she’s understanding of her husband’s career, she longs for overdue attention. However, a ghost from her past emerges. Her ex-high school boyfriend from her days in NYC, Xavier Ramirez, shows up in Miami and ironically becomes a top client to her real estate company. As the two rekindle their lost relationship, Bianca is tempted to possibly take things further. Although she battles herself to not jeopardize her marriage, little does she know that Xavier isn’t the man who she once knew.

LK, a young witty assassin and drug cartel enforcer is hired to retrieve stolen property for her unidentified employer. But as she guns for the man responsible for the theft, she will uncover a secret from her past that will threaten will threaten everyone.

I need part 2 NOW!!

This was my first full Quan Millz read and I am determined not to stop until I get to the end of his catalog.

There were a lot of POV’s giving to the reader in this story and usually that is a turn off for me, but this group of characters... everyone told their story so well. It was like watching the pieces of a puzzle come together in a few ways you didn’t see happening.

It's a set up fool.

I must say I was not ready for this one to end. I was shocked that Katrina was one of Son's girls. Some men are so stupid. He has a loving, caring, and loyal wife, well except for that one time and he chooses to give it all up for spoiled milk. Can't wait for part 2. Loved it.
