Systematic Siege #1

Life separated us.

Destiny tied me to her.

Obsession drove me mad.

I knew they all hurt her. What I didn’t understand is how deep . . .

Seven years ago, they ripped her from me—my father. The friends I made at school. Jealousy drove all of those bastards into conspiring against us.

And they won.

I almost killed myself after losing her.

Now I live for only three things:

I will destroy everyone who hurt her.

I will find her.

I’ll become the biggest monster ever known to accomplish those things.

I’m at the head of my father’s empire now. A corporate king. I’m ready to finally put in place the plan I’ve been working on for years.

I’m ready to find my Lexi.

What I didn’t realize is that she had already found me.

Okay, so that title is a mouthful ;) I think NIB could have just called this one instant orgasm and been done with it.

Andrew lost something seven years ago. Now he has the power at his fingertips to make his world right again. But something tells me a simple apology might not be enough to right the wrongs of the past.

Screenshot_9

Andrew & Lexi’s story is told with the use of flashbacks to the night that changed everything just seven years ago. You can see that those events affected Andrew deeply and as you get a chance to see just how much passion was held by these two as they were kids, you start to wonder just how explosive the grown up versions could be. Because the young version of Andrew, had this woman weighing the merits of being a cougar.

Screenshot_1

This had one hell of a cliffhanger ending and not in the sense that you think. I think what it really was, was this desperate need to know more, to know everything right that second. The type of ending that has you leaving messages for the author as soon as you read the last word.

My first experience with N. Isabelle Blanco’s work was through the co-authorship of Need with KI Lynn. Their styles blended really well together, but I knew from reading Need that I needed to read more from this author. And this book proved just that.

Screenshot_2

SSPT was a complete #NoPants read. Andrew was a growly-alpha-male that left you feeling needy and breathless. I can’t even explain how much I need the rest of this series. My grabby hands are greedy for more.

Gah it's a cliffhanger!! I was really getting into it, this one was good and now I have to wait a couple of months to get another part of the story.

Andrew Drevlow is seeking revenge. Now that his dad has passed away, he is head of the family company and he wants to give back something to the woman who his dad drove away, seven years ago.

Told in a series of flashbacks, we learn that he was friends with a girl called Lexi, from the age of three up until teens they were inseparable, right up until he went with the popular crowd, and she decided to hang with the nerds (being a bit of a geek herself). He always kept her in his periphial though, and when they were seventeen they had a night together that he has never forgotten. Unfortunately, he hasn't seen her since. Until now.

I really liked both characters, there was a mystery that leaves you wanting more and I quite liked the setting of the book, which was in some geeky computer department. I love nerds <3. Anyway, like I said, I am gagging for more and would love to know why Lexi was missing all those years, and why she has turned up with a glare that could kill.

Reviewed as part of The Dirty Anthology. This is a short story, told in the male POV.

ARC gratefully received from the author in exchange for an honest review

Well I was in for a surprise reading this.

Its a short first book in a series, but don't be mistaken as it has a lot of information in it that I just know you will need for the future books coming out, I have a feeling about this.

We have two people here, they have known and grown up together since children. Had a close bond.

This is a hot sexy romance, but all is not well in the world of Lexi and Andrew. It could have been maybe if there wasn't family troubles that targeted their relationship.

One night spent together was doomed too as Lexi went.......
gone from Andrews life and he's not seen her for year.

Andrews father died leaving him in charge of the business as CEO.

There are surprises in store.......

.....

then the dam cliffhanger.......

OH nooooooooo

I need the next book.

I enjoyed the way this was written, and at the end, I just was almost stopping breathing and it just dived off the cliff.......I want to follow it.....

so please, can't wait for book 2

This review is for Systematic Siege Book 1 & 2.

The Siege Serial is a series of short stories with an estimated final total of nine episodes for the entire series.

N. Isabelle Blanco writing is seductive and so addictive that with reading just one of her books she has become a favorite author of mine.

A toxic but undeniable love powers the first two books in the Systematic Series. Andrew & Lexi’s story will consume you. Just the way their love have consumed each other.

For years, Andrew has watched Lexi from afar. They were friends once. But due to the greed of his father their friendship ended. But he never stopped thinking of her. The attraction was so powerful that it became an obsession. One that will never go away.

For Lexi was the same. But how can she be friend with the son of the man responsible for causing her family so much pain. Worse, how could she want him. How could she love him. She fought against her feelings. But the attraction was there. And it wasn't going anywhere.

“Lexi is that for me. The ideal. The unattainable fantasy that’s finally being attained.”

Andrew was presented with the opportunity to talk to her again. He took it. And just like his father, his greediness took him to his downfall.

They shared one night together. And that same night lead him to lose her.

Andrew’s father wasn't the only one against their relationship. There are always people lurking in the shadows wanting what don't belong to them.

Exposed. Ashamed. Betrayed. Lexi disappeared after that fatal night. And that’s was the beginning of their downward spiral.

Andrew became consumed with guilt. Alcohol and drugs became his best friends. He reached the point to almost end up killing himself.

Lexi, on the other hand, fell into the hands of the devil. Revenge becoming her only motivation.

Seven years later, here they are again. Working under the same roof. And the hurricane of emotions and pure want is an unyielding force rushing through their veins.

“The addiction never truly went away. It’s insidious. A virulent presence deep in my bone marrow.”

Holy hotness. Andrew & Lexi will leave your windows fogged. The tension between them was ON FIRE!!!!! Andrew will dirty-talk your ear off whilst Lexi will make you want to vagina punch her. Because WHY???? Why you just disappeared? Why you didn't trust him. I know it was hard because of what the son of a bitch of his father did to you but hell, you should have given him a chance to explain himself, damn it.

The Systematical Siege Book 1 & 2 sizzle with deception and a hot as hell fiery sexual tension that will make you impossible to put them down. And of course it will leave you not so patiently waiting for the next books.

N. Isabelle Blanco, how can you be so evil?.

Cliffhanger ending. 1st book of 5. I recommend skipping the next 3 books & just reading the last one (Mortal Siege) to get the full-story. Bks2-4 are more like teasers.

1.5-stars

Worst book of all 5 books in this series. Only 25yo H's POV about 7yrs ago & the present. It's meandering & obsessive/repetitive (i.e., “mine” claims of h, wants to kill his father). H's “mine” claims of h felt superficial. Lacked a good grasp of why he fell obsessively in love with her, especially after being friends with her since she was 10yo with her father working for his ruthless company-owner father. Lots of plotline gaps (i.e., why/when H dated his GF if he was so into h from childhood, timeline/reason H&h's relationship changed from good childhood friends to mere acquaintances by their senior high-school year). Meh S chem/foreplay S scenes mostly because lacked romance/relationship background. So, their love for each other read more like mutual lust or teenage attraction. Especially with virgin h's cavalier attitude to kissing H, despite him having a GF. So cheating. No angst/emotional resistance on h's part about it. H did expressedly resist h with his “I have a GF” info but soon succumbed to h's sexual easiness. I did like that he broke things off with his GF via text right before he oralled h.

Cliffhanger ending with H seeing h again for the 1st time in 7 years & she's his newest employee.

I NEED MORE. Andrew is now the head of his fathers company and he wants revenge. Lexi was his best friend a girl that meant more to him the anything and anyone, a girl that he truly loved, until one night she was taken away. We see flash backs of what happen with Lexi & Andrew, you feel how much Andrew loves her and still does and will do anything to find her but he won't have to look to far. What happens after all those years when they finally reunite? I can't wait to see what happens next with Lexi & Andrew

Holy sh!t! Drew committed the perfect murder while keeping his hands clean. Telling his father he was putting a family he cant stand in charge of his business and sending him into cardiac arrest. Whoa....

And i liked finding out exactly how big Andrew is... ;)
"One wrong move, and I’ll have her under me, my c#ck eight inches deep inside her."
...God help me.... i cant stop staring at my ruler.

Andrew's friend, Stephen is a d!ck. Major f#%king backstabbing d!ck. Oohh... i wanted to punch something when i found out that he wanted to f#ck over his friend because he was jealous.

"F#%k. There. She. Is. That injury that never healed. That infection that has been festering in my soul for almost a decade. The wound that I pray never leaves me, even if the disease keeps on spreading. Her."

This book ends on a cliffhanger that had me lose my breath. Next book... :)

Despite some powerful writing this failed for me because it is being released - slowly - in nine episodes instead of a book. At 99P an episode it soon measure up to an expensive book.

I have never been a fan of this type of writing and never will be. Shame because this sets out to be a well written and captivating read.

Systematic Siege is a dark, bloody, and delicious read. Andrew's entire life centers around Lexi. He lost her once and he refuses to lose her again. He takes some drastic measures to make sure he doesn't. Lexi doesn't feel the same way, she's been fed lies and has lived through so much heartbreak that I'm surprised she hasn't went crazy with it. She's tough though. She does what she has to do. Andrew is a man obsessed. Literally. Lexi is his world and when he finally gets his hands on her again he wants to show her how much she means to him. Lexi hates him, she despises him. She doesn't have the full story though. When she gets it? Shit it gets real.

The world created will hook you in, and that ending will have you literally begging for more. I was impressed with Lexi. All the stuff that has been done to her, to her loved ones, and yet she still perseveres. Andrew is hard and cold, but his love and obsession shines through and shows a different side to him. The lengths he goes through to make sure Lexi feels and is safe is astounding.

While I enjoyed this story, I felt like everything was rushed. It seemed to go by so fast that I was left wondering if I missed something. The writing and characters keep you entranced though. Andrew will have you wishing for his brand of monster, while Lexi will have you cheering her on.

This is actually a review for books 1 and 2, because the ARC didn't have a break anywhere to tell me where the first one ended and the second one began. The sexual tension in this series is off the charts, so thick it would take a meat cleaver to slice through it. The emotional chaos will have you all over the place; one minute your heart will melt because young love can be so sweet, the next whole lives are ruined because that young love isn't enough to keep evil people from getting what they want at any cost.

Andrew and Lexi had it difficult from the very start as young children due to the greed of his father. Lexi is considered to be from the "wrong side of the tracks" and Andrew's father not only hurt her family then but threatened even more damage if Andrew followed his heart to her. Add on top of that a nasty scheme put together by peers of theirs, and total catastrophe awaits them.

Years don't take away from the love Andrew has for Lexi, if anything he only grows more obsessed with righting the past and finding his way back to her. His plans to earn her forgiveness are disrupted by finding out she's working at his company. Unfortunately, she's only spent the time apart letting her hatred for him fester and grow into a plan to bring him down just like she feels he did with her and her family. I'm so frustrated with her, because she so easily believed the lies of the high school scheme that was the beginning of her fall into misery. Lots of terrible things have happened to her since then, so I get that she's had it rough, but did she have so little faith in him that she would blindly believe the worst? I guess so, and that makes me angry.

Everything Andrew's done in the last few years has been about HER, and making things right. She doesn't know this, so I hope in the next installment she can find out and they can move forward, because the truth is that Andrew isn't the enemy, but make no mistake there ARE enemies...ones that won't like it one bit if the two of them get together. Greed drives people to do unbelievable things to others, and it's the driving force behind every evil act in this series. I have no idea what's coming next, but I"m smart enough to realize it isn't going to be all unicorns and rainbows. Too much has happened that hasn't been dealt with and can't be dealt with easily, and too many people are looking out to be number one and willing to do anything to get there.

Review for the boxset set. Andrew a CEO and just barley living. Andrew lost the love of his life thanks to his father who recently just died. Andrew has been searching for Lexi what seems like forever. Both books are short stories about present and past of everything Andrew has felt about Lexi you can tell he breathes for this girl but what happens when Andrew finds out she's been under his nose for awhile now. Lexi can't stand Andrew or his family she has no clue what the truth is about everything. Lexi is with Stephan evil monster but she's using him for revenge to get back at Andrew. Drama and lies and very hot sex in both books! Will Andrew & Lexi ever be able to be together again? Who is trying to keep them apart? Systematic Siege was a good short read for me. Andrew is seeking revenge. It seems as though he was wronged by the people closest to him. I felt there was much mystery in this story, but I love a good mystery, and I'm dying to find out what exactly happened.

Andrew has a dirty mouth which I enjoyed, dirty mouthed boys are kinda my thing. One thing is for sure his feelings for Lexi are stronger than ever and he will stop at nothing to get his girl. I can't wait to read the second book.

This is the story of Andrew and Lexi...two people who when they were young had the chance at something beautiful only to have it cruelly ripped away from them. Andrew will stop at nothing to find Lexi and win her back and when he does find her he quickly realizes there is much more to the story then he knew.

My review:

This story will grab ahold of you from the first paragraph and won’t let go as you barrel toward the cliffhanger ending.

I loved both Andrew and Lexi. They are well written, beautifully damaged characters. The author does a good job of digging in deep so you feel what they feel and can’t help but root for them...even when Andrew is doing bad things for all the right reasons.

The story is told through flash backs between their past and present and keeps the flow of the book seamless.

My thoughts:

POV switches between Andrew and Lexi
Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter)
Character development: 4
Level of Romance between characters: 4
Passion/Heat level: 4 (the sex is hot and steamy and fits perfectly with the story.)
Angst/Heartbreak: 4 (these two are ripped apart for a reason and the process of putting them together is a rough one)
Cliffhanger?: Yes, you will be left wondering what happens next.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story and I can’t wait until the next book to see how Andrew and Lexi’s story ends.

I received an ARC of this story from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Holy hell!! What more could Lexi go through? That poor woman has been through hell and back. Kudos to her for being able to get back up after being knocked down time after time. That poor woman has been through it all in her life. Her strength and perseverance is very commendable.

Andrew is a cold hard man, but hey with what has happened in his past I completely understand. He has made a pact with himself that anybody and everybody who has either hurt or helped hurt Lexi is going to pay. He went down a dark path before finding his way back. He came back stronger and more determined to right the wrongs of the past.

There is so much that is going on that at times it made my head spin a little bit. There are some dark factors in this book that just start to really get tied together towards the end of the book. I'm holding out for the next installment in hopes that all my questions get answered.

An N. Isabelle Blanco serial is always a wild ride. Somehow, she always manages to pack a ton of action into a short page count and they cliff hangers at the end of each volume are always nail biting.

In this newest series, Andrew is ready to move heaven and earth to get back Lexi, the woman he loved and lost years earlier. Through flashbacks we see how much these two meant to each other and just how much losing her devastated Andrew. He is now the CEO of his father's company and he has the power and money that comes with it. He is ready to take on the world for Lexi, but he may not be prepared to learn the secrets that helped keep them separated all these years.

This packed an intense punch and the passion between Lexi and Andrew when they were younger was more than intense. This leaves off on an interesting cliffhanger that has me anxious for volume two.

I have never been on the edge of my seat this much with a book in, I remember, FOREVER. I could not put this damn thing down except when I was forced to work and make it look like I was actually doing something. If I would've gotten fired, it would be N. Isabelle Blanco's fault, but it would've been worth it.
The characters are rare, they're deep, and freaking crazy; perfect trio? I think so. So, just do yourself a favor in 2019, read this book, fall in love, and prepare to meet Drew and Lexi. Sexy as sin and captivating as hell.

This was quite the read. It does indeed have some dark themes running through it and while we don't get the full backstory in this book, there is more than enough hints so you know whats what.

The story unfolds over a series of flashbacks by the MCs. Both Andrew and Lexi, with the majority being told from Andrew PoV. It flashes back to their shared past, high school love that didn't bud, hatred, addiction.

With Lexi now back working for Andrew company, her reasons for being there are close to the heart, but she has trust issues after her experiences. Will these two catch a break or will the enemies after them prove to be bigger.

Wow, words cant describe what an amazing book that was. I loved that entire story. Lexi was a shy person but knew that she wanted Drew but family dictated differently. Drew has always loved Lexi by hut family and outer forces have conspired against them. We see what those forces are, how they comr back together and what is causing harm still. This book is full of intense passion, love, possession, want, need, betrayl, family hate & love. A total must read. You won't regret. It leaves you with a cliff hanger but you'll want more xx

I love this story already because Drew and Lexi knew each other as kids and had a deep connection that they both cherished and someone sought out to ruin. Drew is now running his father's company and finally hoping to find his girl and get his revenge. Little does he know the reunion may happen sooner than later AND it may not be as easy and sweet as he expects. Lexi may have never forgotten Drew BUT what she has harboured all these years may not be the same love Drew has felt.

Having read N. Isabelle Blanco and K.I Lynn’s co-authored novel Need and being blown away by it, I was intrigued to find more angsty yet steamy reads. I bought this title as part of The Dirty Anthology and with a title like Systematic Siege: Provocative Tendencies, I was hesitant as to whether it would actually be a good read. Boy, was I wrong – this little read should have been renamed “Are your ovaries prepared?”

Let me just say that N. Isabelle has quickly become one of my favourite authors – she has the gift of being able to write a good plotted story with the right amount of angst, feelings and of course hot and steamy sex! This read captivated me from the first page and tugged on so many of my heartstrings.

"Know her? I f*****g breathe for the girl. Closing my eyes, I fight to resist the pull of her presence. I don't know what I’m going to do the moment I see her. If I'll be able to control myself."

let me list my feels gif photo: Let Me List My Fee tumblr_m9or04Qyjt1r3t7fp_zps2c3d1507.gif

This story is written in a way that jumps between Andrew and Lexi back when they were 18 and to the present where they are 25. Andrew is one of the popular kids in school and Lexi is a nerd, however they are both friends even though their families absolutely despise each other. Their relationship stayed platonic for a long time for this reason, however Andrew tries really hard to not make any advances even though he pines over her and is head over freaking heels in love with her. They both lust for each other and eventually cave into their hot obsession with one another. I just have to give you a little warning that your panties might get drenched at around this point in time ;)

“She bites on my jugular, moaning around my skin, and oh … f**k. I can’t take it. Can’t deal. I palm the back of her head, tilting my own to offer her more of my neck. “Bite. Harder,” I growl, the hand on her thigh bringing her closer, Right onto my c**k.”

 photo gif1_zpsyfls11jx.gif

In the present, Lexi hates Andrew and comes to work for his family’s company Drevlow Systems Inc after seven years of cutting off contact with Andrew due to circumstances that are to be revealed in the second instalment. She is back on a revenge path to make him pay and he is set on making sure that she is his again – mind, body and soul, the only question is who will win in this steamy battle of the sexes?

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.
N. Isabelle Blanco's Systematic Siege Book 1 is a short serial series (like a tv show) that I had trouble putting down This story is told in a series of flashbacks to the past and brings you to the present as well.

**Spoiler Alert**
**Also if cheating is not something you can read about then this is not the book for you**

Andrew & Lexi's story is one of betrayal, sadness & a possible second chance. I say 'possible second chance' because Andrew has never forgotten about Lexi. Lexi has other reasons as to why she has never forgotten about Andrew. Andrew & Lexi were friends as kids who had a falling out because of something Andrew's father did to Lexi's father. Flashback to Andrew in High School, who has come up with a way to get Lexi to speak to him again. He acts like he's failing a class when he's actually passing said class & gets tutoring help from the nerdy but smart & beautiful Lexi. On the night of her 18th birthday, Lexi meets Andrew at a gym that he regularly goes to & that a friend's father owns.
Lexi shows up & Andrew's surprised at the way she's dressed when she shows up. Andrew confesses to Lexi that he likes her & Lexi feels the same, but because Andrew is part of the popular crowd & has a girlfriend named Kaylee, Lexi is doubtful that Andrew is being truthful, thinks that Andrew is playing with her & even questions his feelings for her. Andrew then makes the choice to break up with Kaylee over text message right in front of Lexi, because Lexi is all he wants. After giving Lexi her birthday present, things get hot & heavy between Lexi & Andrew. Little do they know that they're secretly being recorded.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Normally I don't read books that do flashbacks to the past & bring you to the present, however I've heard nothing but great things about N. Isabelle Blanco & her books. When this author posted a 'Free Book Offer' in a book group I'm in, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Rooting for Lexi & Andrew!!
Onto Book 2!

As the first book of serial series Systematic Siege, this book started out with the bang. The story goes back and forth from 7years before to present. We get to see the past that started the love affair of Lexi and Andrew and boy was it hot. They may not have gone all the way, but wow, just their little foreplay will get you moving. Andrew is totally in-love with Lexi, but for some reason they ended up separated. This of course, as a serial it ends with a cliffhanger, that will leave any reader wanting more.

This book is told from Andrew’s POV and switches between present day and 7 years in the past. It appears the author is showing us what events in the past led to what is happening in the present. I personally would have preferred to see part 1 being from alternating POV between Andrew and Lexi on the past 7 years and then part 2 to be the same but from the present. I didn’t care for it jumping back and forth from past to present. (My personal preference, some people might like that.)

As a whole I really enjoyed the short story. There was tension and fire between to two characters – Lexi and Andrew. The passion between them leaps off the pages. You can definitely see how much Andrew cares for Lexi which makes your heart sad for all that he had to endure and give up. I liked the different twists that was setup throughout the book. It seemed the twists all melded together somehow which made the book that much more intriguing.

I wish the book would have been longer as I didn’t want it to end. I wanted to know more – what happens next? As soon as I finished reading book 1 I immediately started book 2. I really liked the book however I would have preferred to have a trilogy or have the books longer in the series versus having many short stories. However, I can’t wait to see more from this author.
