Cliffhanger ending. Book 2 is a short novella & focused mainly on H&h's 1st meeting after being apart for 7 years. Not safe (rape of h by OM).
Writing smoother & plot more intriguing than book1. Lots of tidbits dropped here & there from dual POVs about what happened to each of them in the last 7 years. Good S chem & emotional tension between H&h. Detailed foreplay scenes but no actual sex scene between H&h. Info drop about h being raped by OM but fortunately not detailed. Characterization still loose & iffy due to short novella & alternating timeline from past & current.
Cliffhanger ending with h beginning to realize that she likely misjudged H 7 years ago & H beginning to clue in to h may have been raped by OM.

This review is for Systematic Siege Book 1 & 2.
The Siege Serial is a series of short stories with an estimated final total of nine episodes for the entire series.
N. Isabelle Blanco writing is seductive and so addictive that with reading just one of her books she has become a favorite author of mine.
A toxic but undeniable love powers the first two books in the Systematic Series. Andrew & Lexi’s story will consume you. Just the way their love have consumed each other.
For years, Andrew has watched Lexi from afar. They were friends once. But due to the greed of his father their friendship ended. But he never stopped thinking of her. The attraction was so powerful that it became an obsession. One that will never go away.
For Lexi was the same. But how can she be friend with the son of the man responsible for causing her family so much pain. Worse, how could she want him. How could she love him. She fought against her feelings. But the attraction was there. And it wasn't going anywhere.
Andrew was presented with the opportunity to talk to her again. He took it. And just like his father, his greediness took him to his downfall.

WHAT?! The prelude killed me! Slayed me in the core of all my emotions. I cant believe Lexi... her poor mother... f#%king piece of sh!t stephan... and how everything tied together in this sick and twisted tale of revenge and passion.

Great writing, awesome story, emotional plot twists and loveable characters. Can i ask for more? Nope!

This was a second chance romance type of story.
The heroin was wronged by him a long time ago and now years later she wants revenge. When everything between them when to hell, he was heartbroken just devastated. Seven years later Andrew’s dad died and he steps in as CEO and he has a new brilliant employee who is now the Head of IT. It happens to be the one that he has pined for all the years. We see the pain that she has dealt with all these years. we see flashbacks of their past I thought that was a nice touch to see how everything played out. It drives her mad when she finally admits to herself that she still loves him. He still wants her but she wants nothing to do with him. Will she give up the revenge? They have so much chemistry still after seven years apart its bananas. The author did a great job writing this sexy story.

This is the second part of this series and i'm loving it. These are short but pack with so much passion and obsession that I can feel it. When an author makes me feel that good while reading the book you want continue to find out what's gonna happen and what cause so much pain. This is also pack with so much hotness. I love what the author has done with the story between the present and the past I cant wait for next book.

So now we know Lexi's piece of the story - sorry Drew - you may find out at some point !! It is obvious the chemistry is still there but can they get past their past together and apart to finally come together and have happiness. Lexi wants revenge as does Drew but can they achieve that without total honesty ?? Drew's thoughts drive me crazy , he is super hot and dirty !! I am glad that Lexi is weak for him !! The further we get into the story the more twisted it becomes.

This is actually a review for books 1 and 2, because the ARC didn't have a break anywhere to tell me where the first one ended and the second one began. The sexual tension in this series is off the charts, so thick it would take a meat cleaver to slice through it. The emotional chaos will have you all over the place; one minute your heart will melt because young love can be so sweet, the next whole lives are ruined because that young love isn't enough to keep evil people from getting what they want at any cost.
Andrew and Lexi had it difficult from the very start as young children due to the greed of his father. Lexi is considered to be from the "wrong side of the tracks" and Andrew's father not only hurt her family then but threatened even more damage if Andrew followed his heart to her. Add on top of that a nasty scheme put together by peers of theirs, and total catastrophe awaits them.
Years don't take away from the love Andrew has for Lexi, if anything he only grows more obsessed with righting the past and finding his way back to her. His plans to earn her forgiveness are disrupted by finding out she's working at his company. Unfortunately, she's only spent the time apart letting her hatred for him fester and grow into a plan to bring him down just like she feels he did with her and her family. I'm so frustrated with her, because she so easily believed the lies of the high school scheme that was the beginning of her fall into misery. Lots of terrible things have happened to her since then, so I get that she's had it rough, but did she have so little faith in him that she would blindly believe the worst? I guess so, and that makes me angry.
Everything Andrew's done in the last few years has been about HER, and making things right. She doesn't know this, so I hope in the next installment she can find out and they can move forward, because the truth is that Andrew isn't the enemy, but make no mistake there ARE enemies...ones that won't like it one bit if the two of them get together. Greed drives people to do unbelievable things to others, and it's the driving force behind every evil act in this series. I have no idea what's coming next, but I"m smart enough to realize it isn't going to be all unicorns and rainbows. Too much has happened that hasn't been dealt with and can't be dealt with easily, and too many people are looking out to be number one and willing to do anything to get there.

This book is told from Lexi’s POV and switches between present day and 7 years in the past. It appears the author is showing us what events in the past led to what is happening in the present. I personally would have preferred to see part 1 being from alternating POV between Andrew and Lexi on the past 7 years and then part 2 to be the same but from the present. I didn’t care for it jumping back and forth from past to present. (My personal preference, some people might like that.)
As a whole I really enjoyed the short story. There was tension and fire between to two characters – Lexi and Andrew. The passion between them leaps off the pages. You can definitely see how much Andrew cares for Lexi which makes your heart sad for all that he had to endure and give up. I liked the different twists that was setup throughout the book. It seemed the twists all melded together somehow which made the book that much more intriguing.
I wish the book would have been longer as I didn’t want it to end. I wanted to know more – what happens next? I really liked the book however I would have preferred to have a trilogy or have the books longer in the series versus having many short stories. However, I can’t wait to see more from this author.

The steamy scenes were just sweet and deeply arousing. I love it when an author's prose is so powerful that it rips through my mind and leaves it trembling, awed.
In the second part, Lexi's POV comes into the light as well as some dark secrets that are weighing her down since that fateful day she felt betrayed by Andrew. Still, the pain and the feelings run rampant between them, and the chapters fly in a storm of passionate words. It is so good!
My only complaint is that it ends abruptly, and considering how many series the authors keeps open, I despair a little about when I'll be having my rewarding conclusion to this book.

I just overdosed on sexual tension and dark intensity! I'm a sucker for sexy books with dark secrets and this series is definitely hitting all the right spots! The sexual chemistry between Andrew and Lexi is off the charts! Alternating between past and present, the events unfolding had me on edge. This book has a little bit of everything. Love, hate, lust, revenge and so much more. I have the mother of all book hangovers, considering this is a short serial. I'm vibrating with anticipation for the next book in this series.

We finally see why Lexi wants revenge not only on Andrew but Stephen as well. But once they see each other both of their feelings are still there. What Lexi went through and still struggling with, you can't blame her for wanting revenge. But she really don't know what happen or why Andrew did what he did. I can't wait to read what happens next, especially with Andrew and Lexi and I'm hoping that Stephen get what's coming to him. Really great series that has you wanting more

Constant hot flashbacks...
These novellas are leaving this reader sexually frustrated! Just when you think you have reached the "good part"...BOOM..."The End"....Woman,why are you doing this to me? The story is going deeper and deeper into the pasts of Drew and Lexi...I'm getting the feeling that there is a lot more to be told....& this author is keeping me on edge! I can't wait for the next installment. 5 frustrating stars!!!
