This is the second book in a fairly new series that blends romance with a little bit of magic. Sisters Serephina, Mortianna, and Esmerelda Seville have an antique shop in Hawthorne Grove and use enchanted items to bring couples together. Emma (a freelance research specialist) and Sam (local coffee shop owner) meet in the antique shop when she's looking at antique puzzles for research and he's looking for replacement hardware for a chiffonier that's being refurbished. In addition to the puzzle Emma buys an enchanted quilt and Sam gets his hardware and an antique coffee set for his shop. The quilt causes Emma to have serious romantic dreams about Sam and he can't stop thinking of Emma.
There's also a secondary storyline going on involving Serephina, Mortiana and Esmerelda and the Cupid Heart Guard which leaves you hanging at the end and eagerly awaiting the next book to find out what's happened to Esmerelda.

This is a sweet romance that blends in some magic in the form of three sisters who are Cupid's helpers.
When Sam Huntinton, owner of One stop Coffee Shop goes into Sevilles antiques for some hinges for his chiffonier. He sees an old quilt that reminds him of his grandmother. Before he can buy it, another client, Emma Riley, a research specialist, buys it out from under him. Little does she know, but that blanket had been enchanted, and neither of their lives will be the same again.

A nice story that is a clean read with no profanity or inappropriate innuendo or other scenes.

A sweet romance for those lazy afternoons

Awesome. Okay but what happened to the missing sister? Does the Cupid Guard exist? Loved the characters and the way that our insecurities can relate to our early life but follow us well into adulthood.
She is an introvert, happy to remain on the shadows with her research. He is an extrovert, at ease with his chosen business (a coffee shop) and the public. What happens when the sisters sell her a magic quilt that isn't meant for her and inadvertently introduced her to him? Will the two find any means of meeting in the middle? Will the powers that be retaliate against the sister? Why has there been talk that Cupid is himself in trouble?

Book 2 of the Witches of Hawthorne Grove

I'm enjoying this series. Emma was at times very annoying with her attitude. To me she came off as rude. And honestly I'm not seeing any man keep chasing her when she runs off when he barely speaks to her. Imo. I will buy the next book I can't wait to see what's going on with the Sevilles. (I hope I spelt there name right.) They are like cupid witches.

Magic or not.

Was it magic or not that brought Sam and Emma together? They both thought it was but they were attracted before they saw and touched the quilt. Sam even stole a puzzle piece to assure he would have a reason to see her again. There was magic in the quilt for them, at least they thought there was.
This story is a page turner. It is paced so you want to find out what happens next, so it is hard to put down.

Highly entertaining story

This is a cute story of the developing romance of Emma and Sam. Great dialogue
and pace of action for the key players. A quilt and puzzle piece play a role to bring the two together. The role of the 3 witches is still only partially told so a bit of a mystery remains about the 3 of them. Overall, a quick light read for the beach.

Witches Spell Romance

I enjoyed the story, but the two story lines were not my favorite. I was always worrying about the witches, and it is an ongoing story.
The meeting and flow between the people who were wrongly matched was a good story on its own. Like the witches, I hope the couple getting together will justify the mix-ups that occur in this plot.

A magical mystery

I have enjoyed both Witches of Hawthorne Grove book but feel there should be more information and a bigger storyline about the 'Witches'. I look forward to the next installment and hope we get to learn more about the three sisters.

Amorous antiques!

This is the second book of a new series with a supernatural twist. Three sisters run a deceptive antiques shop where enchanted objects bring couples together. The characters are extremely well descibed and written, I especially love how their thoughts and feelings are perfectly written into the story. The story itself is delightful and creative. Even though this series is romance, I can't help but feel it's part cozy mystery as well especially with the CHG and end of the story.

Great series, folks.

If you have enjoyed Leighann Dobbs or Annie Dobbs or L. A. Dobbs I think most of you will not be disappointed. This series is a bit more serious minded, however, I am finding that I have really enjoyed it. It definitely is not a Cozy but it is tastefully written and an interesting read, with three witchie sisters in the background playing match makers. But watch out, something sinister is lurking in the background for our witches.

Normal or Magical

Very interesting and excellent book! There is a bit of a mystery as Esmeralda is missing. The sisters help romance along but nothing goes smoothly. Emma and Sam have a bit of rocky relationship which smooths out. Another couple is doing fine. Magic or normal read and find out. Enjoy as I love the book,

Kindle Unlimited, Leighann Dobbs writes under Leighann Dobbs, Annie Dobbs and (soon) L.A. Dobbs but her real name {not sure if she writes under that one} is Lee Dobbins, Hazel Martin Mysteries only one I found for this type with her, she has not made sure that terms used match the British terms as well as in other areas for that period of architecture and assorted styles.

The Notch Cozy Mystery Series {5 out as of this writing} and the Blackbore Sisters Cozy Mysteries are not on Kindle Unlimited which as said before about 1 & 7 {the only ones given free, sure would not have bought them} and ditto for Ghostly Paws which is 1 of 5 at this time but did get others free over time.

While some of her other books are Kindle Unlimited none of the Blackmoore Sisters Cozy Mysteries are which doesn't matter to me as read #1 and #7 and was way underwhelmed. Leighann Dobbs writes under Leighann Dobbs, Annie Dobbs and (soon) L.A. Dobbs but her real name {not sure if she writes under that one} is Lee Dobbins, Hazel Martin Mysteries only one I found for this type with her, she has not made sure that terms used match the British terms as well as in other areas for that period of architecture and assorted styles. By the way, bakeries and other food service places don't run like that. Badly needs to proof things, it's messing up the flow of the book, which my computer reads to me, so that's bad. As for these, it's not that the situations couldn't happen, it's in the telling of the story, with unlikable unbelievable characters and situations, again.

Yet another goodreads won't hide it don't want to see the badly proofed badly plotted poor excuse for bad soft core porn crap. The 'historical' ones are like that and so are the some of the non cozy mysteries and some of the sorta but not really mysteries because can't write, etc ad nauseum. The most any of them got was 2 changed to 1 for crap cozy, some get a 1 which means basically crappy soft porn 'romance' etc.

3 in Silver Hollow Paranormal Cozy Mystery Series so far which are on kindle unlimited, 3 in the Moosamuck Island Mysteries , 5 in the Mystic Notch Cozy Mysteries so far {not ku}, Blackmore Sisters has 7 {not ku}, Hazel Martin Mysteries only has 1 so far, Lexy Baker Cozy Mystery series 12 so far is on ku. Others.including Scandals and Spies Book series so far 4 which are basically romance soft core porn dreck but hey you can get them on ku. Witches of Hawthorne Grove 1 so far,Cevonne Bride of Oklahoma, Unexpected Series 4 so far ku.

The Lexy Baker Cozy Mystery Series By the way, bakeries and other food service places don't run like that. Badly needs to proof things, it's messing up the flow of the book, which my computer reads to me, so that's bad. As for these, it's not that the situations couldn't happen, it's in the telling of the story, with unlikable unbelievable characters and situations, again.

Copy/paste fill in the blank seems to be pretty much what she is doing in her books, which wouldn't be half as bad if the plots and ploys and actions were believable at all.Just change the name for a book and maybe change the series list under, and you are right back to copy paste same old same old.

NOTE: I specifically mentioned certain of the 'books'/series were achieving soft core crap status, and specifically said which ones those were, reference AGAIN the above quoted review, and did not specifically mention the blackmore ones as that, BUT and had not mentioned that had went back and rated all no talent no plot cardboard charactered 'stories' listed above as 1 as well. I will change the original review to reflect that, but it is still a 1, and MY review of the crap stands.

Cozy Love

I really enjoyed book one in this series and was quite happy when I got notified by the author's newsletter that book two was now available. There is something wonderful in the idea of an enchanted store that brings romance and couples together. I have stopped reading cozies in favor of more adult books; but, this is a cozy series I can stick with.
