Bad Call

Rate this book
NBA star Axel Jones was easy to love by sports reporters and fans. On the court he was quickly rising to become one of the all time greats, and when interviewed he had an adorable awkwardness. An awkwardness everyone knew came from him having witnessed horrific murders as a child and subsequently being raised by the state. It was the type of tragedy to triumph story we all love, except what the world doesn't know is Axel has some very deranged secrets of his own.
When two ladies get caught up in his secret and are forced into the unlikely role of  vigilante heroines, heads will roll and not just figuratively.

Speechless

Wow! This book has left me speechless. Axel was one very crazy, wild disturbed dude. He did some of the most twisted things that I have ever read. Where does the author get this stuff from. Axel reminded me of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with Swindle being his Igor. This is one sick and twisted read. If you like that type of read, then this is definitely the book for you.

I'm shocked

This story was nothing like I thought it would be. Axel the famous basketball player was crazy as all get out!!. That man had a lot of skeletons in his closet. Swindle was dumb to me bc ain't no way I would have taken that rap by myself!. I believe if it wasn't for the girls brings as smart as they were, he would have never gotten caught... Good job

I'm literally sitting here with my mouth hung open because I wasn't expecting the outcome at all. I will admit I was feeling sorry for Axel because I knew everything he experienced was traumatic for him. Lawd Sentu has a way with telling twisted stories and didn't fail me at all with this one. Thank God for someone like Gaskins because he stepped in and found a way to break the shell Axel enclosed himself in. Swindle lied so bad but at least it came in handy when needed. Once things began to look up for Axel I just knew he wouldn't allow his past to dictate his future but my how wrong was I! Who knew one bad call would begin to unfold the craziness that was actually Axel's life. Axel just had to try something stupid when he wasn't completely focused. Chiquita, Chiquita, Chiquita. Here I was feeling bad thinking the worst only to realize this heffa wasn't all that innocent. That one move quickly caused things to shift for Mr. Guns and Roses. I was glad Amanii was able to protect herself and Kela was willing to be there to make sure the person responsible would get whatever was due to them. I was curious though why Swindle never got any help with his problem because that only caused more problems when he had clear instructions but failed. Shut up! I would've never thought Axel would have those two on his side with the foolishness. I do feel some type of way for Gaskins because he actually thought the only thing Axel had going on was basketball. Wow that overtime was something else. Although Axel reached the 4th quarter and seemed to have won, overtime proved otherwise. The underdogs proved they were the better opponent by beating him at his own game. As always great story!

Bad Call

This was a great change from the usual hood book drama. Some gruesome details yet, certainly there is no lack of action and entertainment. I highly recommend you pick up this read. #KNLP

Bad call

At first reading about axel Jones and what happen to him as a kid I felt bad for him and was hoping gaskins would take him in . Getting deeper into the story and seeing what he was into, I no longer felt sorry he needed serious help. Although the content of the book is different it didn't bother me .the storyline was interesting enough to keep me going . Sometimes I was over his fascinating with his activity. I kept saying like he gonna get caught up .At some point I thought to myself I bet he had something to do with what happen to him as a kid . Overall it was a good book the editing needs a lil fixing.

Best Horror book for 2017!

Wow! First off let me say that this book was AWESOME! Axel is flipping nuts!!! Sentu really fleshed out a great read that can stand with the great Stephen King. The characters are lovable and I became really invested in them! And the GORE was everything a horror buff like me could want. If you haven't read this book you should read it now because it definitely is a page turner! Oh and Chiquita is nasty as heck! Way to make me hate her, Sentu lol! Dope book !

A crazy read!

Woooow This is definitely not a book I would usually read. It had some dark and twisted events. I was blown away by some of the things Axel did. I really thought he may have gotten over his horrific childhood but boy was I wrong. You definitely will not be able to guess how this read ends. Be prepared to be hanging off the edge of your seat!

He did call tho.....

Wow I love vamps and stuff but I must say my boy Sentu has outdone himself. I'm speechless with this. I know he had it in him but this here unbelievable. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. While reading I envisioned this whole story and so much more. He made me believe that I that if I wasn't born and raised in Oakland I knew it like I was. Am author with a talent to place you live into his stories. I didn't want this one to end.......

Axle, Swindle, Chiquita, and Percy got what they deserved jail was too good for them. Great job Sentu Taylor book was a different read than usual but once you start Bad Call you have no choice but to turn them pages to see what the end will bring.
