This was a cute love story. I felt like I was reading about real characters with real issues. I loved the closeness and the connection that Naomi and Niam had together. The question for me has always been can best friends become best lovers and an even greater couple. It can be a struggle knowing that you know everything about that person, the good and the bad, but this book proved that you can master the struggles and come out on top. I love the way that Niam stands up for Naomi. What an honor to have a man who loves and respects his woman even through sad times of his own. Not sure if the author is living this life or this is her make believe life, but either way she got this right. I hope that the series continues the love connection.

Oh My Freaking Gawd!!!

First of all this story was so intense, and I loved every single page. I like the fact that even though Naomi had been free with her gifts. In the end she learned to embrace her past. I don't know how many real men would have been able to accept and deal with Naomi the little Schnauzer nipping and tugging at his heels to have her way with Niam. Half the time I felt sorry for him because she always got whatever she wanted. Their relationship had a few challenges once they both admitted that their relationship was about more than just sex. The back story with Gabi, Dawn and the other family added more character to the plot. A little more meat in the sauce.. When Niam started to act all in his feelings I was worried for a bit. His family issues added to my concerns. In the end Niam and Naomi made a good decision about how to move forward. This story was fraking amaazing!

All what I EXPECTED!

First off this book was all that and a bag of potato chips!!! YES! I absolutely loved Niam & Naomi relationship! He loved her and all her flaws her past didn't matter to him he just wanted to love her for her mind body & spirit... Makes you wonder if that type of love still exist. I cried for him when his bby brother died I just don't understand how his family not accept his decision and then turn around and ask him to do the unthinkable.. I just hve one question for you is Gabi and Caleb going to get together?? They need too I think they would b great together

Satisfied Reader

Never let your past dictate your future. Niam had mad love for Naomi he loved her unconditionally. He knew of her past and that didn't stop the way he felt. Terrance tried to rekindle things with Naomi but she was reminded of a good man she had. He needed to leave the last in the past. I was glad she finally had the talk with her dad. He had his life to live and so did she. Why judge him when the life you lived wasn't peaches and cream. He finally came to terms about Khalil with the help of his woman by his side. I love happy stories and this was indeed one. Great Job

Niam and Naomi are dear friends..with too many benefits beyond that title. When they decide to take it to the next step, all hell breaks loose when not every skeleton can stay buried. During a low point in his life, will Niam learn to accept Naomi's past by loving her when it counts?

This is my first book by A C Taylor and I must say it won't be my last! I picked up this book during a busy time in the school year for me as a teacher and it had me sneaking to catch up on what Naomi would do next to set Niam's nerves on edge. I haven't read many books where the heroine has been so hard to like. But that is a good thing: it showed how real the characters are and how they aren't just cookie cutter to suit the readers' liking. Taylor must have dug deep to create Naomi: she is a strong woman and though hard to love, she was as relatable as they come. I was so pissed at half the antics that went down in Niam and Naomi's relationship, but then sated by their passion for each other throughout the trials and tribulations they went through.

The storyline was not short on drama with its lows and highs as Niam and Naomi tried to figure out how to love each other beyond their flaws. At times I had to even laugh at the extent Niam went through to accept some of Naomi's past mistakes. I needed a lil more from the ending with these two but I see part two is coming. Will be sure to check it out!

The kind of love you dream about

Great Job AC! This book was definitely a page turner! Niam, gentle yet aggressive in his love wanted Naomi for exactly who she was. Naomi felt undeserving, but love has a funny was of surfacing when you least expect it. Loved this book & it definitely hit home on many subjects!

Was not a fan of Naomi. She needs therapy. She pops off without apology and is rude and mean to people for no damn reason. She may not want new friends but there's no need to be a complete bitch to people who are being nice because that's what being a human is all about. Oooooooohhhhh I couldn't stand her the entire book. And in IMO she didn't redeem herself and Niam deserves better.

Love Me Series
Love Me When It Counts
Love When It Hurts
Love Me Or Lose Me

Naomi convinced herself that she did not need love. Sex with no strings attached was just fine with her. With Niam she tried so hard to live by her motto but her heart, just wouldn't not her be. Not because she didn't want to love him, she was afraid of opening herself to him, thinking she could never be his type. Niam was attracted to the one woman man, while Naomi didn't believe in relationships at all. You can deny things all you want, but 9 times out of 10, the heart always wins, or does it?
When someone pops up from Niam past, can Naomi hold on to the trust she built in him? Is Niam doing too much when it comes to Guinn and Nola? How much can Naomi take, can she put up with before she just gives up on everything?
Caleb, one who not down for the love department. Just let him hit and he's just fine with that.
Gabi, she's not looking for the wham, bam, thank you ma'am. If it's not meaningful, you can keep it moving. Gabi has fallen but is torn with developing feelings for a man that once shared something with someone who is dear to her heart.
When 2 are looking for something totally different, is it possible to create a perfect love that no one could see coming?

I really love this title for this series, she hit on the nail!

I Didn’t Like It

I literately had to make myself finish this book. There wasn’t a single character with any redeeming qualities. I didn’t like that while exploring the double standard of accepting a woman whose had a lot of sexual partners, the author chose for Naomi to have slept with Niam’s close friends AND family. That’s more than most people can accept from ANY partner be it a man or a woman. It was just too much.

Niam came across as weak and paranoid. He couldn’t accept Naomi’s past, his mother, his aunt, his brother’s death…nothing. He spent the whole book angry and apologetic.

Also, I didn’t see the point of Naomi’s relationship with her father. It didn’t have a real place in the novel. Even when she explained to her father why she didn’t accept his relationship with Samantha, while I understood that they were trying to explain Naomi’s behavior, it just didn’t work for me.

This author has other novels that are far better reads than this one.

Loved it

I really enjoyed reading Niam and Naomi's story. Niam knew what he wanted and that was Naomi. Naomi on the other hand didn't want a relationship she just wanted to sleep with Niam with no strings attached. I loved Niam, he was patient and sweet. Naomi on the other hand was a bit much and annoying at times. She was rough around the edges and quite mean sometimes, but she was funny too. She was also there for Niam whenever he needed her. I'm glad she and Niam were able to work things out. Great story Ms Taylor!

Real Love

This was a great novel about real love. While it's not always romantic, sweet, or pretty, it's necessary. Real love is what Naomi and Niam had. They just needed to know it and acknowledge it in their hearts. When the pressure came on that's the only thing that would be capable of holding them together. I love how the author shared all of their flaws and didn't try to make excuses for her characters. Their stories were real and relevant.

In spite of it all

The story of Naomi & Niam was such a delicious piece of writing despite the notes I made. With better editing, I would have given it 5 stars. C'mon A.C., your talent is unmistakable. Don't let editing and small errors in syntax and vernacular get in the way. What you write is really good - clean it up please-smooches.

Not sure where to begin

I'm not sure where to begin with this book. I don't think I could have handled Naomi permicusousness ! Liberation is fine but at one time she did seem a little whoreish! That's a lit for a man to handle. There were a lot of stones left unturned also. Easy read my first for this author . I will read more.

Niam and Naomi imperfect match

This is my first time reading AC Taylor's work thus I had no expectations. Naomi is a loveable character flaws and all. Niam to is a plausible character to like as well. I think more than anything I was missing the who, why, and what. I know different backgrounds have a way of not being outlined but truly I cannot put my finger on the dynamics of Niam and Naomi foundation. I did like Gabi and I would love to see a story with her. She is a sound character that you can tell has to overcome. You appreciate her ability to talk with Naomi and help ground her. Cori is a character I could do without. But overall from a first time read it was easy to get through and find things to root and enjoy.

Interesting

Naomi and Niam are interesting. Different perspective on relationships and family issues. No way could I see anyone dealing with Aunt Janet. She's a mess and a half.
I wanted to slap Naomi a few times, but that's what a good book does for you. Gets you all emotional.

Good Love

I love reading realistic romance. The fantasies are nice, but it's good to read stories that I can relate to. The storyline flowed greatly, and the character development pulls you in. Niam and Naomi went through many obstacles, but that is what true love is about. I look forward to reading more 5 star reads from this author.
