Not much happened, but I still really enjoyed it. Georgia is starting to get a bit older and her "boy entrancing" plans are just getting wilder and funnier! I love how quick and funny these books are with their odd slang and Georgia's schemes and I can't wait to read the next one. Thanks to this, I am now fully and truly out of my post-Heir of Fire reading slump!

Yep, Masimo, Italian Stallion has entered the stage with his scooter and man purse, but we all know Dave the Laugh is where it's at.

I was sort of casually pretending that I hadn't noticed Dave the Laugh. Which was a bit difficult to keep up, because he shouted, "OK all you chicks who find me irresistible, follow me. No pushing."

Oh vair vair amusant. He's so bloody confident. He went off into the kitchen and a few girls (including Ellen, who as we know has no pride to speak of) went after him.

Robbie, the Sex God, is off to Kiwi-a-go-go land to snog sheep, and Georgia is full of sadnosity, so much so that she even gets to #8 with Mark Big Gob (good grief!). But do not fear, the new Lurve God is on the horizon - half-Italian/half-American Masimo with a fancy purse in his hand. Let the hunt begin!

Tbh... you can really see how much Dave The Laugh and Georgia are suited together and they just have that connection, and I just don’t think I’ll ever be a fan of Masimo.

Genre: teenage angst, coming of age, relationships, etc
Summary: more confessions, same story, same characters. Oh, excuse me, there is a new character, Massimo, the new lead singer of the Stiff Dylans. Of course, he's creamy dreamy, of course Georgia falls madly in love, but whenever she is around him, all she can think of is...nothing. Her mind goes out the window. Fortunately, Dave the Laugh is there to coach her in the ways of getting a man. And of course, whenever they are together, they must snog. So much kissing.
Response: I just want Georgia to GROW UP. I can't take much more of this. I bought the movie, which was based on the first two books, and Georgia grows up more in that movie than she does in the five books I've read so far. Plus, I listened to this book, narrated by the author, which you know, was fun and interesting but come on. After every book, I become this whiny teenager again (not that my family notices a difference, mind you). Sometimes it's more fun than other times. I just want Georgia to wake up, realize that Dave the Laugh is the one for her and forget about playing the field and raging against her parents. However, I read some reviews of the last book, and I have a feeling that I may be disappointed. I think the concept of a teenage girl's diary is a good one, but dragging it on for so long might be a bit much. The audience will only pay attention to a character that doesn't change for only so long.

The hilariosity continues as Georgia attempts to wade through her sham of a life and broken heartidness. Just when she begins to fear that she will have to become a lezzie, Georgia meets the Italian Stallion, Masimo, new lead singer of the Stiff Dylans. After three books, Away laughing on a fast camel takes readers back to Angus's roots with laugh out loud wit and charm.

In this installment, Georgia will have make you laugh till you cry with boy entrancer fiascos, mounting up to number 8, and with her attempts to become close to the lord. I can't wait to see what she gets herself into next.

So it's the last day of this year and this is the last book I have read. Such a great end to a year.

I love this series because it's so funny and witty and light. Perfect for my stressful life! I want to have Georgia as a friend because she's so awesome.

I loved this book especially the new character, Masimo. He seems so nice and hot. Even though I still like Robbie and I want Georgia to be with him. I don't like Dave the Laugh, I mean, I like him as her friend but not her boyfriend.

This was the funniest book in the whole series. When her boy entrancers got stuck together I laughed so much my sister in the other room was questioning my sanity.

I didn't understand it that much because it's written in British and even the normal English isn't my mother tongue but I guess that makes it even more funnier. The glossary in the end is also hilarious and I loved it.

I ship Tom and Jas soo much. Jas is so cool and peaceful and so is Tom and they go so well together.

All in one, a quick and funny read for teens and even people who are of older age but are looking for something light to laugh along with :)

Fabbity Fab! It is fun to spend time with Georgia, as always!! I enjoyed this installment just as much as the previous ones, if not more! This series reads like episodes of a light hearted sitcom. Some of the situations that Georgia gets herself into are full of hilariosity, but still very believable. The writing is just very easy to read, and just FUN! This one ended with a cliff hanger (again) and more of a cliff hanger than usual, in my opinion. I already have book 6 lined up. I don't usually follow book series. I read one, at most 2, and then I just lose interest. That is not the case with these books. I really enjoy reading them. If you are a cat lover, you might like to know that cats play a big role in these stories as well.

Have you ever wondered how it is to be in high school with all the drama and comedy? Away Laughing On A Fast Camel by Louise Rennison is a book filled with both drama and comedy. This realistic fiction book is great if you love to hear secrets only best friends will know.

In the story Georgia Nicolson is always hanging out in her room. She's always thinking up ideas on how to get the likes to like her. She comes up with the craziest ideas like putting on fake eyelashes and tons of glue on them that her eyes shut close! After she gets these crazy ideas she always talks about it the next day at school with her best pals. They always meet up at the science block to have a meeting with the group. Since she lives in England she speaks very differently than we do. Georgia wanted to go with her boyfriend Robbie to New Zealand because he was part of the band as the lead singer and he started touring, but he started liking it in New Zealand and decided to stay there and leave the band. So Georgia had to stay in England really sad that Robbie left her and broke up with her to live in New Zealand and the band replaced him with a new lead singer who was Italian named Masimo which made her come up with crazy ideas to make her fall in love with her. But there was one thing that was in her way to get him to like her and only her, since Masimo was the lead singer of a popular band she had a lot of girls to compete with. So she had started coming up with ideas with her mates to make him fall in love with her. In the end when Masimo asked Georgia to go out with him to the movies she started thinking “Finally he likes me!” but then he the next day he tells her “See you round when I get back from America”. After he told her the news she felt sad that finally he starts liking her he goes off to America to tour around. As soon as she was becoming sad her Mom and Dad come in her room and tell her that they’re going to America. She was so happy that they were going to America that she decided to take her best friend Jas with her, and surprisingly both their parents said yes! So they came up with a plan for no reason. So off to America they’re going.

In the story I wish that the author would’ve put the part of Robbie coming back to England just as soon as Georgia started liking Masimo because this would’ve put a lot of drama in the story. If this was added the story this would make Georgia so confused about her feelings for both of the guys. She would later have to make a decision of with who she likes better and who is better for her. This would make the story more interesting and also would add another conflict to the story. it would have the readers on the edge of their seats and making them go “What?!” or “Why!?” I liked the way the author had put a glossary at the end of the book because there are some words in the book that Georgia had made up. It makes Georgia seem to be very creative when it comes to making up words and making up things. Also it shows that she has imagination when she’s going to be creative. The glossary makes reading the book more easily knowing the words that she had made up.

I was surprised when Georgia’s best friend Jas said to her that her boyfriend Tom (also brother of Robbie) was going away to New Zealand for 6 months. This surprised me because Jas and Tom are always together and they’re in separable. After found that out she was really sad and all she ever talked about was Tom. They weren’t breaking up, it was just that Tom was going away to see his brother. Jas would come to Georgia for advice and Georgia had wisdom for a few minutes. The structure of the book is in a way of a diary of Georgia Nicolson because it actually gives out the experiences that Georgia has had throughout her life in high school. Also I liked the structure of the book because it really felt as if Georgia was writing this because it had so much creativity with the plot of the story and the way it was written.

I give this book a 4 out of 5 because there was very good drama in it, but I would add a bit more conflict in the story. I would recommend this book for people who love to read about drama and a bit of comedy. Away Laughing On A Fast Camel will leave you laughing and make you say “Why?!” making you want to read the next book.

Georgia Nicolson is a self-obssesed teen who is having trouble with (basically) life. Boys , makeup, stalag 14, mates , Wet lindsay and ADM , Robbie , Masimo , Dave the Laugh, and much more...

I love the words she has like bum-oley , gob, lippy, loo, maths, squid, tart, naff, nippy noodles , nunga-nungas, wet, prat, nuddy-pants, fringe, fag, clud, chav, brillopads, chuddie, arvie, bloke, boy entrancers and boboland.

And last but not least the scales(and dances in later books):

I'm getting old, aren't I? I can tell this would be the sort of book I probably would have enjoyed if I were ten years younger, but, uh, I think I'm just too old now.

I think it's the style of the book and the language that threw me. For one thing, the book is written in a diary style (March 1st 1:15 PM, April 5th 12:15 AM and so on), but it's also written as though it's occurring at that moment. So is Georgia just whipping out her diary at every moment or what? How incredibly annoying. Furthermore, I really don't know anyone who speaks like she and her friends do, and I teach girls her age.

Also, Georgia et al just seem to be horrible girls to be around. I have no idea if I could stand being friends with her or any of her crew.

This is such an incredibly funny and honest series of books. Even on the re-read I found myself laughing out loud at parts. It is intriguing that a heroine as self-centered as Georgia can be so endearing, but it's hard not to love her even when she is acting an utter prat. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick read and an easy laugh.

Indonesian translator has done a good job. Thanks to her, I use the words "departemen pipis nipis", "nunga-nunga", "put-put", "centil pentil" daily.

I checked this out from the library only to take a glance at the first page and realize I had already read it. These Georgia Nicolson books are like malted milk balls. They're delicious, but you forget how many you've eaten because they all taste the same.

I enjoy this series. This one seemed to return to what I found fun in the first two books of the series. Georgia and her group of friends crack me up, however, the funniest character is her cat Angus.

I gave the graphic novel Away Laughing on a Fast Camel by Louise Rennison 2.5 out of 5 stars. This story was meant to be a comedy, and it delivered. The genres presented in this graphic novel were humor and realistic fiction. Many absurd sentences in this book made me snort a bit. This book is set in the UK so naturally, the main character Georgia says many British slang words. For example, “snogging”, “bloke”, “mental”, “lad”, and “mate”. This is a long series that I have not read, but this novel starts off with Georgia’s boyfriend, the “Sex God” leaving for camp in New Zealand. Georgia is quite morose about this until a new love interest shows up: Masimo. Georgia is very creative in the way she talks. She has a bizarre term for many inanimate objects and adds “osity” to the end of most adjectives. Here’s a fun quote out of context: “She likes porky blokes with badgers on their chins who are clearly mental” (Rennison 18). Most of the book has little context, just random fun sentences like this. I enjoyed the funny words, phrases, and situations, but other aspects of this book were lacking.

The way gay people were referred to in this book was offensive. If this book came out now, I don’t think it would have done as well. In one instance, Georgia made rude comments about her gym teacher who wore masculine clothes, calling her a “lezzie”. She also calls her friends this when they do something like staring too long at her. I didn’t find those jokes to be humorous. This reflects on her character and her apparent rudeness. Georgia is self-centered, which at first was charming, but got a little irritating as the story progressed. But, if one wanted a light-hearted stupid laugh, then this would do the trick.
I would recommend this book to some teens. This book has very niche humor that some find funny, and others annoying and/or absurd. I appreciate the humor, but I wouldn’t read this again or any other book in this series. I would have to get to know the person and their humor before I recommend this book to anyone. This novel is intended for middle school and high schoolers. It reminded me of "Judy B. Jones" by Barbara Park because both have young, quirky girl protagonists. They both share the genres of humor and fiction. However, "Judy B. Jones" is intended for a younger audience than the other.
The author’s purpose for writing this book was to make people laugh. This book was a reflection of the author’s childhood, so I think she pulled a lot from her own life into the novel. She threw in her ridiculous humor and passive-aggressive homophobia. The themes presented in this story were coming of age and drama. Everything is the end of the world for Georgia. But, to her credit, she does a fabulous job of romanticizing her life.

Selama ditinggalin cowoknya ke negeri Kiwi-a-gogo buat konservasi lingkungannya, Georgia ngerasa kesepian. Saat itu Jas asyik berpetualang di hutan bareng Tom. Rosie juga asyik sendiri sama Sven. Sedangkan Georgia justru meratapi nasibnya di kamar. Menyedihkan banget!

Georgia nggak habis pikir kenapa cowoknya rela meninggalkannya berbulan-bulan demi main bareng domba-domba di tepian sungai. Sementara dirinya di sini digangguin sama Dave si Kocak dan Mark si Mulut Lebar! Issshhh rasanya hari-harinya menyebalkan!!!

Saat Georgia disuruh mengasuh Libby-adiknya yang masih balita, dia bertemu Masimo. Cowok Italia-Amerika itu kelihatan keren banget! Cewek-cewek berebut perhatian Masimo, dan yaaa Georgia juga tertarik tapi dia jual mahal dulu. Terus nih, ada kejadian memalukan pas Georgia berusaha memikat Masimo. Bulu matanya lengket, bikin dia nggak bisa melek! Uppss sial banget ya?? Terus apa Georgia berhasil mendekati Masimo??

Secara umum novel ini asyik banget, gaya bahasanya juga khas remaja banget! Tapi kurang cocok buat kalian yang nggak suka sama kehidupan remaja yang terlalu "bebas". Why? Karena ada banyak hal yang terlalu "kebarat-baratan". Yeahh gaya pergaulan dan pacaran yang nggak sesuai dengan kita yang menganut budaya ketimuran gitu.

Next hal yang paling ku suka dari novel ini justru penggambaran interaksi antara Georgia sama sahabat, keluarga dan kucing peliharaannya 😅 Buat konflik tentang cinta-cintaannya aku justru kurang suka karena terlalu "bebas" (yaa kayak physical touch, kiss, dll). Terakhir, pertanyaan tentang apa Georgia berhasil mendekati Masimo juga belum terjawab.
