Killing It In The Streaming Age: 16 Money-Making Tips For Singer/Songwriters

Rate this book
“What is the single most important money-making tip you would give a new singer/songwriter?” That’s the single question that began this book. It was asked to Featured Artists at The Standing "O" Project. The answers from 16 working musicians who replied are collected here. Some of the answers are single sentences. Others are pages long. Together, they offer a different take on what it means to have a music career in the 21st century. And what’s really surprising—virtually all of the advice is non-digital, real-world and do-able. Want to make a million bucks on Spotify? You’ll need a different book… But this book does offer a peek into the career of the working musician from a perspective that can easily become lost in an age of uploading, downloading, streaming, file sharing and bit torrenting. Killing It In The Streaming Age offers deceptively simple advice to making a decent living as a singer/songwriter today. It offers simple tools on how to be a working pro.
