Bittersweet second chance
Ten long years seems a long time for a second chance at love. For Riley Weston, dutiful daughter and devoted wife, her current status in an unfulfilling marriage and life was dictated by a past tragedy. Riley has no idea that status is about to be upended by Colt Jackson. She’s never forgotten her high school sweetheart, the man she loved but could never have. Until his redemption tour, a tour to bolster his professional football career, takes him back to the small hometown in South Carolina.
Lawrence represents the happiest and saddest times in Colt Jackson’s life. He’s never forgotten Riley, the twin sister of his best friend, Beau, whose tragic passing forced a grieving Colt to leave town without any explanation. When Colt spies Riley at the highschool gym, he’s surprised to learn she never left town. She sacrificed not going to college to be with her parents. And as she was expected to, she eventually married a man she didn’t love. Colt is disgusted by Riley’s circumstances and her prick of a husband who carelessly gives permission to bed his wife. Colt is unbelieving of how unappreciated and disrespected Riley is by her her husband and undeserving parentis. Riley is still breathtakingly beautiful, kind hearted, and radiant. This time, Colt’s making Riley his, and never letting go.
Quarterback Cuck is a quick, surprisingly entertaining and enjoyable story. You think there is cheating, but when an uncaring and unappreciative husband throws his wife away to another man, all bets are off. Ms. Masters style is seamless bringing the past and the present together without flaw. With lots of emotion and love, Colt and Riley really come alive. I love the ending, these two belonged together, how much they were in love, and finally together, find happiness.
