My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

The last place you should be is in that hostile work environment… Babe, it’s like the Hunger Games without the shiny weapons.

“It’s still so weird that there’s two of you.” Tara’s eyes move to Antonio and back to Stefano. “I don’t think I’d like someone walking around wearing my face.”

I love when this man speaks to me as if we’re in a romance series on the Science Channel.

My mother gave me the best advice just after I married your father.” She glances out the window, staring off into the distance. “She said to never go to bed angry. That was her key to a happy and long marriage… When that doesn’t work, she said to drink plenty of wine.

My Review:

Merger is one of the sweetest romances I have read from Chelle Bliss. I enjoyed this engaging read and adored this alluring couple together - they were sexy and intriguing. Written with a dual POV, the narrative was full of heart and insightful inner musings. The storyline was predominately a romance with elements of suspense, erotic sensuality, drama, and a considerable amount of clever humor.

I m feeling generous with rating, so I m giving it 2.5 stars instead of lower, cause even though I m pretty disappointed with this sequel, it had its moments of entertainment, it also struck me blind with the enormous amount of meaningless and trivial events in the book just to fill in the pages...

In whole honesty, as much as I liked the first book (even though it ended with a cliffy), I would have been perfectly satisfied if the book 1 stayed as a standalone with a few added pages to alter the current ending, instead of making a sequel that was rushed, pushed and exaggerated in everything, leaving no actual space for me to develop the emotional connection towards the characters since they so blissfully enter this 'insta-love' fling...

I really found no substantial connection to merge all the tossed action and happening into the mix, hence for me, unfortunately this Merger was a failure in the most basic dramaturgy form.

Merger by Chelle Bliss
Antonio & Lauren
TOTALLY AMAZING!!!
5 Stars

So, this is NOT a standalone... you NEED to read book 1, Acquisition, first or you'll be lost. Book one ends with one hell of a cliffy and book 2 will pick right back up where Chelle left you hanging on the edge of your seat. This one is so full of emotion and angst! You're gonna need some tissues and maybe a few beers!!

Lauren is still our tough young CEO, but things and people happen to her in this installment which will challenge her strength and stability. I actually felt much sadness for her this time around as we sink deeper into the heart of this amazing woman.

Antonio is still all brooding and alpha, but more to the point, his "business" persona seems to melt away with Lauren more and more every day. We get to meet his family in this one and I think they help to shape his character into a more compassionate, devoting, and adoring boyfriend.

There are side characters who will scare the ever-loving shit outta you, and there are side characters who will make you laugh, cry, and swoon. Stay tuned, you might just see some type of spin-off from this duet!

Merger is a sizzling hot page turner! There's suspense, sexy time, and much passion. The characters are fantastic and the story line intriguing. The pacing is perfect and the dialogue flows with efficiency. I loved it!

Antonio is seriously a really sexy man, "he doesn’t take his eyes off the cutting board as he pushes aside one diced up tomato and reaches for another. “Pasta sauce. Now answer the question.” Thhere are times Antonio just doesn't want to let his woman go, "I try to wriggle free, but it’s no use. Antonio’s too heavy. “Don’t go,” he groans and pulls me tighter against his body." I enjoyed this book more than the first one, don't get me wrong I loved the first one bu t this one held my interest more with these two characters.

Huge improvement for me with the second half of this duet. I'm super stoked that the relationship growth was the center point of Merger. Lauren and Antonio get to really focus on their attraction and everything progresses at a nice pace with that. I really loved reading the romance between two powerhouses. Both Lauren and Antonio are alpha and sparks definitely grew from that.

I'm about to be a little vague about something because this is the kind of story where plot really needs to not be in any review, however, the residual from the "event" that happened at the end of Acquisitions in regards to the Company was really left up in the air. It's a major event, in my opinion, and the story needed to reflect that in the events that followed. But honestly, that's just a minor plot thing in the overall scheme of the story. And this romance turned out to be quite enjoyable. I wasn't wow'd with the suspense portion or even the business element in the plot, but the romance between Lauren and Antonio I enjoyed a lot. They move really quickly, but it's a good kind of move and it fits both their personalities well.

I want Antonio Forte. The complicated Italian man with an ego that preceded him and gave me pause.

I so wish this story could have been in one book. After loving and not being able to put down Aquisition, I found it difficult to re-ignite my interest in the story initially with Merger. That said, after a slowish start, I did manage to quickly fall in love with Antonio and Lauren again.

The whole merger part of this story seemed to be over and done with relatively quickly in this book and it left me wondering where Lauren and Antonio’s story would go next. Well, that’s easy to explain. With business aside, readers are introduced to Antonio’s delightful family. With his relationship with Lauren growing stronger day by day, Antonio is more than ready to introduce her to his mother and the rest of his family, much to Lauren’s initial reluctance. With their business dealings pretty much now opening the door to their relationship, it’s not long before colleagues realise that there is something going on between the two as they spend so much time together. As expected, there are one of two disgruntled employees unhappy at their personal “merger” but Lauren and Antonio are more than capable to quash any internal uprisings.

Thankfully, we get to revisit Antonio’s island again, with an extra treat in store this time, and we are also rewarded with a visit or two to Lake Como in Italy, where Antonio’s family live. During their time in Como, readers get to appreciate a different side of both Lauren and Antonio and at this point, the book’s story seemed to take on an altogether different focus. Gone was the hardened business minds, and in their place, we spend time with two people who are finding their way towards a HEA.

I did enjoy Merger but I would recommend reading both books together to experience the full effect of the story. There is one again fun times to be had between Lauren and Antonio between the sheets and although their initial connection has taken on a different feel to it, it is still a rewarding relationship to see develop. The large family we meet on Antonio’s side is clearly an important part of Chelle’s personal and book life and it would be a shame not to explore more of the characters in this book as was done with the Men of Inked series. With punky Violetta to the equally attractive but dangerous Stefano, I think readers would really enjoy more from the Forte family.

This duo of books had a different feel to them from what Chelle normally writes. Whilst Merger was an enjoyable story, I felt that it lost some of its business intrigue, or maybe it was intentional. There is the usual Chelle Bliss heat between the pages, so don’t worry about it being a tame romance, it just felt different, but in a nice way and the ending simply made the story all the more worthwhile, especially Lauren’s gift to Antonio.

Acquisition and Merger (The Takeover Duet 1 & 2) by Chelle Bliss
Narrated by Brian Pellino & Natasha Soudek
Adult Contemporary. Must Be Read Together.
The Takeover Duet by Chelle Bliss was very different from the typical billionaire CEO type book, and I enjoyed how unique it was. I first read the little prequel, Takeover (FREE), and loved it and got the rest on audio. I think I would have enjoyed the duet more if I continued to read it rather than listen.

Lauren Bradley is CEO of the #2 aerospace company. They are about to make an announcement of a discovery that will change the industry completely and catapult them to the top, when they learn there was some sneaky overnight business dealings, and Cozza, the #1 company, led by the elusive Antonio Forte was poised to do a hostile takeover.

Lauren’s had a rough day and knows she has to face the board the next day to convince them to hang on to their shares, so she goes out for a drink to blow off some steam. When she meets the hottest guy ever, she gives the sexy Italian a fake name and job. She just wanted to be a regular woman for the night, not a top CEO. “Elizabeth” and “Lou” had one super hot night together. Imagine her surprise when “Lou” turned out to be the one and only, you guessed it, Antonio Forte. The man who is ruining her career and life.
“You can’t stop what you’ve started. We’re at war, Mr. Forte. No matter how well you kiss, I’ll never forget the simple fact that you’re trying to destroy my company and, by default, me. We are nothing. We will never be more than enemies."

Antonio won’t let that stop him. He gets what he wants.
"I want it all. I want her. I want Interstellar. I want everything. I’m the type of man who’s used to getting it too."

Every moment is laced with sexual tension even though they are supposed to hate each other, but they can’t resist long.
"The kiss. The touch. The smell. The sounds. The taste. Everything in this moment is about Antonio and me, with a dash of Elizabeth and Lou."

There is a lot of back and forth in the first installment, and it ends on a big cliffy, so you must read Merger for the full story.

Merger is a little less about the business and suspense side of things (after the initial issue is solved), and more about the relationship and his wonderful, big Italian family. I loved this part!
“I’d give up my world to be with you, Lauren.”

While I loved Lauren when I read her in the prequel, I had trouble connecting with her in Acquisition and Merger, and I think it was the narration that held me back. I found Natasha to be very aggressive in her reading, punctuating the last word of each sentence in an angry sort of way that sort of turned me off to the character. When she acted out Antonio’s parts, she totally sounded like she was doing a Dracula impression. While I loved that I totally bought the man’s part, forgetting that a woman was narrating it, when Brian would speak with his accent it would make me realize how silly she sounded sounding like Dracula.

While I can usually separate the story from the narration enough to rate separately, in this case I just couldn’t. I just never fell for Lauren enough to make me LOVE the books as much as I think I would have if I read them. Me loving the prequel just backs this theory up. The story had everything I love in a book; some business, intrigue, suspense, good side characters, banter, sexy times, and great family. But to fully fall for a book, I need to love the heroine, and the narration held me back from that love.

Likes:

•The two-part story worked very well in this case. It needed the cliffy (easy to say when I had the second one ready to go!).
•Great combination of suspense, intrigue, romance and sexy times.
•The details of the aerospace industry and other business moments.
•I loved the whole big Italian family.
•The second book resolved the conflict quickly enough to shift the focus on the couple the rest of the story.
•Her best friend.

Dislikes:

•Some parts were very predictable.
•Antonio wasn’t quite alpha enough for me.
•The female narrator.

The Narration:
I mentioned this above, but I found Natasha very aggressive and almost angry sounding as she read the female parts. I think this is how she felt a strong woman would speak. Her portrayal of Antonio sounded like Dracula instead of Italian. While I would have loved her doing this for a vampire book, it didn’t quite work for this, especially when you would hear Brian Pallino do the Italian accent. He was sexy and perfect for the part and I loved his narration.

The Down & Dirty:
I really enjoyed the story, I adore a powerful woman and the enemies to lovers trope. I love a business setting and I really like suspense and intrigue. This duet had everything I love. I think if I read instead of listened to the story, I would have been blown away and loved it much more, but sadly, the narration kind of turned me off to the female lead which affected how I felt about the books overall. I highly recommend the duet, but would suggest you read rather than listen.

Rating: 4 stars, 3.75 heat, 3.5 Narration (2.5 for her, 5 for him)

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review

After being left with my mouth hanging open and my heart tied up in knots reading the last page of Acquisition, to say I was anxiously awaiting the rest of Lauren and Antonio's story in Merger is an understatement. As if the heat between the two isn't enough to incinerate the reader, Chelle Bliss pens her usual magic and has us falling even deeper in love with the Forte family, in the heart of Italy no less. If you are looking for a culmination of passion, suspense, and even a few giggles, Merger is the fictional journey to be on, after reading the first book in the Takeover duet of course.

I could not wait to join Lauren and see her escape or be rescued from the danger that she found herself in at the end of Acquision. And just when you think things can't get any more complicated or intriguing, Chelle Bliss shows her readers that there is always a surprise around every corner! Lauren shows once again her ability to rock a pair of high heels and be a CEO power house, and fight for her company! Chelle shows us that no matter how strong of a female you are, a woman will fall hard for the right man and Antonio meets all the criteria!

Antonio shows us once again what an Italian stallion he is with a heart of gold! Chelle has given us yet another alpha male, delicious hero that we couldn't possibly hate and will leave us salivating for more. Antonio not only has Lauren falling madly for him but our hearts beat a little harder and stronger for this man who talks a little dirty, treats his woman like a queen, and protects her at all cost!

Chelle Bliss delivers a nail biting, panty melting conclusion to the Takeover duet that will have you fantasizing about hot CEO's and their sexy times away from the boardroom. I highly recommend Merger for a suspenseful, steamy ride that will leave you breathless from anticipation! So grab a comfy seat, something cool to drink, and get ready for a bumpy ride filled with buttoned up suits, corporate secrets, and danger you never saw coming!

I was so thrilled when Merger hit my Kindle because, seriously, that ending of Acquisition . . . jeez, I had to know what was going to happen with Lauren!

So, fortunately, a pretty crazy resolution to the ending of Acquisition occurred in the first quarter of Merger so I could focus my attention on Antonio and Lauren’s developing love story. And what a story it was!

Both Lauren and Antonio had high, thick walls surrounding their hearts—both so protective of their legacies, but both unable to deny their feelings for the other. I loved watching them truly fall in love, to become intertwined and yes, a Merger of their hearts and companies did occur.

The merger wasn’t an easy thing to happen—especially not for Lauren, who’d been fighting for her place in a man’s world for so long. But with Antonio by her side, love and love’s opportunities were hard to deny. It was such fun seeing Antonio and Lauren try to figure out how to make everything they wanted happen for them—to see that major life changes needed to happen. Their relationship was very “real” in that they were faced with some real world decisions, and made decisions in an adult fashion. It was refreshing and smart and sexy and wonderful. ~ Missy, 4 stars

5 star Review Merger (Takeover Duet #2) by Chelle Bliss

Firstly if you haven't read the first book in this duet, Acquisition then stop right now and go and one click; it must be read before you read Merger.

After the cliff hanger in Acquisition I was anxious to see of Chelle Bliss could keep the momentum going with Merger and be assured she certainly did.

What a fitting conclusion to a great duet. I really loved the characters of Intersteller Corp. CEO Lauren Bradley and uber Alpha Antonio Forte , the CEO of Cozza Industrie. Antonio and Lauren are both strong, decisive leaders and a perfect partner for each other.

Merger is fast paced and full of great chemistry, sizzling attraction, suspense, drama and intrigue. I was on the edge of my seat, totally riveted from start to finish with Merger, I really couldn’t wait to see how this book would conclude .

I highly recommend both Acquisition and Merger and they are both on my favourite list of 2017 reads.

This book is not a standalone. So if you have not read the first book in the series you need to do so. WOW!!! let me say this book was better then the first. When I had finished the first book I was screamer at the author not to end it there. She truly left us on the edge of our seats. Trust me when I say this is a story you want to finish.

My heart truly broke for Lauren Bradley. I can not imagine the fear she must of felt. She was a strong woman as we all could tell in book one but her strength, courage, and smarts will be tested. Here she finds herself kidnapped by someone she never thought would due such things. Now her life is in danger and she need to what she can to stay alive.

I can not imagine the helpless, the desperation, and the fear Antonio was feeling when he found out the woman he loved had been taken by her crazy ex. I love Antonio’s determination and his take charge attitude. Not only did he manage to use his skills to put the ball rolling in a secret rescue mission on trying to find Lauren but he was working on keeping both of their company’s from falling apart. This was a huge weight on his shoulders.

Boy, I was so surprised who was a backstabber. I was not expected that person to be the mole. Just WOW!!!

I just loved Maverick. He is such a loyal employee of Antonio’s. I truly hope to see a future book on him. Me personally I would like to see him put together with Cassie, but that is just me.

One thing I loved about this story is us getting to read about Antonio’s family and Lauren’s first meet with them. OMG, you could not help but fall in love with each other them. I even liked Stefano who was Antonio’s brother who was a Mafia boss. Oh, please tell me we will get to see a future book on him.

Antonio truly shows what an amazing man he truly is in this story. The sacrifices that he makes all in the name of love is truly amazing. I think I said in Book 1’s review that I loved how Antonio knew how to live outside of work that he did not let his work define him. He believed in living life and embracing what came your away. We get to see him doing his best to teach Lauren those lesson threw out this story. She has a lot to learn, the question is will she embrace what is right in front of her.

This truly was a great story and there are some parts that will make you laugh, some that will make your heart break into, and some parts that will sweep you off your feet. Truly a story worth reading.

The conclusion to Lauren and Antonio's story, Merger picks up immediately where Acquisition left off. Once the "situation" (trying to stay spoiler free here, friends) is addressed, Lauren and Antonio are left to figure out what happens next. In business, in life, and in their relationship. I do wish there had been a little more follow-up as to the fall-out within the company following the "situation". I feel like the "outcome" was somewhat glossed over, but just a personal opinion.

The feelings that have been brewing between them are solidified as they navigate things together, and before long, they are inseparable. Vacations to the Bahamas, Italy, and more, Antonio's goal is to show Lauren there is so much more to life than working long hours.

As Interstellar and Cozza move closer to becoming one powerhouse, Antonio and Lauren are doing the same. Merger is more than the merging of two companies, but the merging of two hearts. Sexy, fun, and heartwarming, Merger gives Antonio and Lauren the ending they deserve.

“You’re mine, Lauren, and I’m yours. I’ll do what’s necessary to make you happy, no matter the cost.”

Merger is highly anticipated follow up to Acquisition. This book picks up right where the last one left off and totally hits the ground running. Merger is heart-pounding, thrilling and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Antonio and Lauren have certainly upped their game and will keep you begging for more.

I fell in love with Antonio in the first book, and let me tell you, this man does not disappoint. His love for Lauren knows no bounds. There is nothing that he wouldn’t do for her, no demons he wouldn’t slay. He would go to the ends of the earth for her. He is absolute perfection. And Lauren….I can’t even imagine the strength that she has. To endure what she has….Let’s just say, she is one tough cookie. I admire her heart, her determination and her independence. Together these two are an unstoppable force and I just couldn’t get enough.

I enjoyed every moment of Merger. Merger is an exciting read with just the right amount of danger, suspense, and sexy good times. I easily devoured this book in one sitting. Antonio and Lauren positively captured my heart. I hope this won’t be last we see of this sexy duo….

The story picks up from Acquisition’s ending. Lauren, according to Cassie, was last seen hours before his arrival. Antonio arrived at Interstellar to get Lauren’s decision on the merger between their companies, as it was the only conceivable compromise to manage their professional and personal lives and keep their relationship intact.

Panicked, he rang Maverick, the head of security at Cozza and made finding Lauren a top priority.

The last thing needed was to have her disappearance become media speculation. It would be a nightmare for both their companies and individually. If the police delved into her whereabouts leading up to her kidnapping and find out about their trip to his private island, the media attention that the CEOs of both Cozza and Interstellar were romantically involved would damage her credibility.

Trent and Lauren started the Mercury project together, and after spending copious hours working together, they became intimate. Lauren broke it off after she became CEO, but Trent…Trent never could accept that they were over and became more fixated as time passed.

She quickly recovers from her abduction, a few hiccups involving his nomination of her at the helm and not disclosing it to her is resolved without incident and they reconcile their major differences of opinion. They reveal, confront and dismiss the ‘mole’, and those eager to see Lauren and Antonio fail to achieve success.

Antonio invites Lauren to meet his family in Italy including his identical twin, Stefano, who happens to be involved in the crime syndicate.

Lauren falls in love with Antonio’s family, especially his Mum and sisters...realising after overcoming their challenges and obstacles, she wants a family. Antonio recognises he must return to Italy at some point and doesn’t see a future without her. She’s wary but begins to reassess her priorities and realises she’s found her happiness.

Chelle Bliss’s books are entertaining and relatively drama-free, without outside interference. Similar to her other books her characters are mature longing for the type of relationships they have only dreamt about and have resigned themselves to not finding their ‘person’. Once Antonio sets Lauren in his sights there’s no evading him. Lauren and Antonio’s reaction to each other, is overpowering.

I received a copy of this book to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Merger is the second book in the Takeover Duet from Chelle Bliss. You need to read Acquisition first before you read Merger. Acquisition is an amazing book that you do not want to miss.

Antonio Forte is a man who has always put business before pleasure, but ever since he met the gorgeous CEO of Interstellar Corp., he finds himself wanting both. And he is hoping she won't be able to refuse his latest offer.

Lauren Bradley knows how to survive as a woman in a man's world. Trust no one is the number one rule she lives by. Especially handsome, smooth-talking men who make her panties melt with a single glance like Antonio. But, his offer is almost as tempting as he is. Sometimes to gain it all, you have to give up everything.

I was so excited to get to dive into this book. I loved Acquisition so much and was left holding my breath wondering what would happen to Lauren and Antonio. Merger picks up exactly where Acquisition left off. In this book however there is more focus because of events in the beginning on the relationship of Lauren and Antonio. I am so in love with these characters. Their journey is not an easy one as they both are so dedicated to the companies they run and focused on work. They are workaholics for sure. But, a trip home with Antonio to Italy I felt was the turning point for Lauren and she beings to think of more important things in life than just business and living her life to fulfill a dream that her father had that she promised to make happen. I loved her devotion to their dream but sometimes I wanted to shake her and say woman.....you have a life of your own to live. Now get out there and live it. Merger is a beautiful book that had me hooked from page one and left me wanting more when it was finished. I could read about these two for forever and before you think this is a cliffhanger book I need to clarify that it is not. It is a complete story.

Chelle Bliss has written an amazing duet that everyone needs to read. These two books flowed so well it was like you were experiencing things with Lauren and Antonio in real time instead of reading their story. I too am now so curious about Antonio brother Stefano that I am hoping that we get a book about him. And I wouldn't mind if Lauren's best friend Tara played a role in that book. Heck I think the whole entire Forte family is an interesting cast of characters that each have a unique story to tell. Do not miss this Duet. You will be missing an amazing story that is so much more than a love story.

Merger by Chelle Bliss is Book Two in the "Takeover Duet" series. This continues the story of Lauren Bradley and Antonio Forte. For this book you do have to have read the previous book ' Acquisition' first to completely understand their story....this one picks up where they left off at.
With the Merger of their business side going through now we deal more it seem with the personal side. We start meeting more family members now that are building toward a more personal relationship but still dealing with some issues.
Overall I have really enjoyed their story. This book does bring a few more emotional turns that had me bring out some tissues but so worth it in the end.

Merger is the second book of the Take Over, duet series by Chelle Bliss. I was so looking forward to reading this after book one, Acquisition, blew me away. However, this book fell flat for me, especially after the cliffhanger at the end of book one. It started off great but I wasn’t gravitating towards it at all, sadly nothing like the pull I had with book one.

The kidnapping scene fizzled very fast for me because even though the angst and suspense were there, the storyline just seemed rushed. The continuation of the love story between the characters wasn’t as exciting as it had been previously.

My endeavour into getting to know the Forte family fizzled as I thought the storyline was going in one direction, then, the turn of events was something else. Yes, the love story of the characters was beautiful but it was nothing like the excitement and heart racing scenes you get from the first book.

Merger is book two in the Takeover Duet. It picks up right where book one Acquisition ended. So you definitely want to read this series in order.

I am lost for words. Merger will blow your mind. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride. That ending!!!!! WOW! I absolutely loved the Forte family and hope they get their own story's told. The details are fantastic and the story line flowed. Let's not forget about the off the charts HOT chemistry between Lauren & Antonio. I had to stop reading to fan myself. You can feel the connection between the characters. You will not be disappointed with this series. Hold on to panties and read the Takeover Duet series.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC for this book.

The duet continues with Antonio and Lauren. You must read Acquisition before this book is read.

Antonio and Lauren continue to have issues as Antonio continues with his plans without talking to Lauren. Communication and understanding is a huge thing that these two need to work on. Jumping to conclusions is also a problem for Lauren.

I loved meeting Antonio's family and seeing them interact with Lauren.

I wish the book was a bit longer or hopefully Chelle has plans to tell a bit more of their story later on. The ending just seemed sudden and left so much room for their future.

I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

OMG this book.. as soon as it appeared on my kindle reality was forgotten and I had to read it..

The perfect second book in this series, picked up right where book 1 left us and gave us more drama and the perfect amount of heat from Lauren and Antonio.

the introduction of his family was well done and I need the other members to get there own stories and these will no doubt be very enlightening.

Chelle this series is so well written I need more.

holy crap...what a way to start a book after a cliffhanger from book one. I really enjoyed the conclusion of this series but hope to have it continue on with the Forte family.

Although not as captivating as book one with the suspense/drama, book 2 lets us into the lives of the characters more. We see them develop the relationship while dealing with consequences of their 2 companies merging and finding out who they really can trust within the companies.

Star Rating: 5 stars

Yes! It was everything I hoped.

There were tears for sure but also there was much more to this book than I thought would come out of it.

We get more into who Lauren is and what it takes to bring her to her lowest point so to speak. She is still the tough CEO but with more layers now in a way.

Now Antonio...phew! I am keeping mum on him for sure, read this series and find out what he is all about.

Things happen, people happen and it forms this book in a way that to some, you would be like "the hell?" But to me, I enjoyed it, I've been waiting for this one!

This book is full of angst and just the feels all over! Grab this one up and give it a go!

Also, I really need a few of the side characters to get books, hopefully!

Merger is the gripping conclusion to Acquistion in the Takeover Duet. Must read in order to understand whats going on. This corporate story is fast paced, and thrilling, and it kept me captivated from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. The characters Lauren and Antione were so passionate and right for each other. I also liked the secondary characters and I'm hoping Chelle is planning on writing their stories as well. I really enjoyed this and will reread it again.

I first want to say Merger is not a standalone you do need to read Acquisition and if you haven’t got round to reading it yet you need too, this is a must read duet!!!!
Merger picks up right where Acquisition finished and once again I found myself drawn to the characters, I was hooked from the first page, book one left us on the edge of our seats but book two more than makes up for that cliffhanger. Antonio Forte is a man who has always put business before relationships and pleasure but that was before he meet Lauren Bradley and at the start of this book we get to see just how far he is prepared to go to find Lauren who has become the most important person in his life, but once again Chelle Bliss doesn’t make it easy for these two to get their HEA they still have a few twists and turns to get past before they reach the end of their journey. I loved the characters and I loved the plot and I really hope we get more from The Forte gang because I really think everyone of them has a story to tell. Amazing read that I would highly recommend.

A great conclusion to this duet. Antonio and Lauren’s story picks up where we were left hanging and holds you until the end. It’ll have you biting your nails and swooning throughout the book. Love all the characters and enjoyed this read.
