A new firefighter romance series! 5 Books, No Cliffhangers, and Free with Kindle Unlimited.
Bradley Austin I’m the captain of the Stokeworth Fire Department, known as the Phoenix Unit. We serve our community in more ways than just by putting out fires, but when a stranger from my hometown shows up at our cookout, she threatens to light a fire that will consume me forever. Will I let this flame die or while I let our love consume me in the inferno?
Patrick Conner I have dedicated my life to the Phoenix Unit and the town of Stokeworth, but when my waitress shows up with a tear-streaked face, my life takes a turn. Will getting caught in Taryn’s life destroy mine, or will I be able to save her from the one thing holding her back?
Corey Moore I fight fires and play music. There isn’t any time for much else. When a beautiful face comes out of the crowd to tell me she can help me bring justice to a man we’ve been trying to stop for years, I realize there’s more to life than work. Now I have to defend her and help her come to the same realization as our life’s work threatens to tear us apart.
Cameron Grimes While seeking a change of scenery to get away from the fire station and break up the monotony of living at work, I run into the beautiful Sienna Wilkinson. I learn that she is in the process of starting her life over and trying new things as well. As we push our bodies to new limits at the gym, we push our hearts in our personal lives. But will we be able to overcome the walls we’ve put around ourselves before our lives come crashing in on us?
Jude Garrison I’ve been walking the line between my professional life as a firefighter and the troubled youth of my past life. When I meet Lainey, a hot little teacher at the school where I’m doing a presentation on fire safety, I have no idea this sheltered little woman is going to end up teaching me more about life than I ever learned living and working on the street.
I read the 'Stokeworth Fire Department' series after reading 'Summers Security' and my first thought was 'is this even the same author?' I was so certain that Stokeworth would be a much earlier work that I actually checked the publication dates and, wow, this series came AFTER Summers Security. What happened?
The relationships that develop within Stokeworth Fire border on fantasy, and behavior described, such as events triggered and action/reaction, are unrealistic. The closest to any realism was Cameron 'ghosting' Sienna, but even then his emotional swings from page to page were inexplicable.
Further examples of inconsistency and unrealistic behavior: Sienna is so concerned about her ex stalking her, yet even when she finds out her ex is in town, she's more concerned over cooking a dinner for Cameron. Believe me, the pages dedicated to describing her angst over dinner vs. dangerous stalker more than support this.
Also, the dialogue is also at times just cheesy: “Take me, Bradley. I want to be yours.” ... "'Yes, baby, make me yours!' I called out". - gag
All-in-all, not very good and very disappointing. Just stick with 'Summers Security'.
I loved this series. Kenna did a great job with each of the hot firefighters of Stokeworth. The story for each of them was so fluid and each character had something a little different but the main theme followed through all the guys. It is too hard to pick a fav...Cpt. Austin , Cameron, Patrick, Corey and Jude all hot as heck and yep alpha panty melting heroes! This is a great read!!!
Typical story line and not as hot as a fireman seems. Likes they interlaced with all 5 guys but not enough with the "family " they kept trying to make. Girls where scarce if not the main character They all stopped with proposals where the wedding if it was continuous
I found this series a little boring and too sweet, I expected a bit more rough and ready from hot alpha male fire fighters but got weak half hearted tales of woe. I did not find too much of interest in this at all, this series could have offered so much more. Very disappointing.
This book is actually a set of five fairly short stories. They begin with the Captain of the Stokeworth Fire Department, Bradley Austin. He is approached by a young woman at a playground opening for the community who is seeking financial assistance with her family. Specifically, for her mother's mortgage and medical bills due to later stages of cancer. This is written in dual points of views, of both the Captain and Ruby, the young female. Each chapter beginning seems to jump in storyline and you begin to feel like you've missed something. The intimacy is written in what appears to be from a single POV, but is disengaged or in quite nearly narrative form. Not appealing, it truly takes away from the scene and may have been best to have been left out. There were several grammatical errors and their story ends just after 20% on my e-reader. It was not one of the best HEAs I've encountered and would probably not recommend this collection to others for I have already moved on to another selection all together due to my aversion to this author's writing style not being one I favored. I will leaves this to be better appreciatedby others who enjoy this one more than I did...
It was a good read i couldn't put down, but there was a lot wrong with this.
I enjoyed reading this, but I had to mentally correct a lot of it. I wanted to love this. I really did. I loved the characters and the plots, but I had to fill in a lot of blanks with my own imagination. Some of the stories just seemed too rushed. I wanted them to be longer. Overall it was a great read I couldn't put down.
