If there is one thing I took away from reading this book, it’s that I need a vacay to Texas – specifically to the Boot Knockers Ranch – and I need it ASAP. Holy hotness…. I love me some cowboys and have for a long, long time. I am actually appalled with myself for not having experienced the so-hot-I-need-a-cold-shower-and-a-new-set-of-batteries Boot Knockers before now. Because hot damn, COWBOYS THAT F*CK FOR A LIVING!
Ruthie Johansson is booked for a week at the Boot Knockers Ranch where, she’s hoping, a hot cowboy will help her overcome the strict, religious upbringing that has stunted her sexually. When she meets the man for the job, bad-boy Damian Vince, she’s instantly on fire for him…and wants more than just a roll in the hay.
Damian Vince is good at his job. Despite a checkered past, he knows how to make the women that come to his ranch melt, give in and open up. I was about five pages into this book when I stopped, went to Amazon, one-clicked book one in this series, Pushin’ Buttons, and proceeded to read both books back-to-back, with barely a breather in-between. And in case you’re unsure, Body Language was hot. Pushin’ Buttons was hot. I was hot! Damn.
Em Petrova has dirty, erotic, melt-you sex perfected, but she also made me LOVE these sweet characters. Ruthie was gentle, prim, buttoned-up, but loveable. Her good girl persona meshed well with her dirty desires. I’m a little jealous of her, let’s be real, because….Damian.
Damian was vulnerable and gentle, so achingly tender with his Sex Kitty that I just wanted to steal him from her. Yes, he f*cked her five ways to Sunday but despite that, you could tell he wanted her, not just her body. Sigh.
The dynamics of the ranch were fun, flirty and orgasm-inducing. I enjoyed the way the cowboys interacted with one another, with glimpses of the behind-the-scenes goings-on at a ranch designed for f*cking. I was – I am – chomping at the bit more from the BKR boys…. Until then, I’m going to buy stock in batteries, because stories that feature cowboys that f*ck like champions and make women feel like princesses? Yeah, y’all are gonna need some batteries…
Body Language is the second book in the Boot Knockers Ranch Series and can be read standalone, but you don’t want to miss the cowboy ménage that precedes it… No cliffhanger. ~ Beth, 5 stars.

This was one of the books that jumpstarted my recent love of cowboys. Though it's the second book in the series, it can also function as a standalone, which is how I read it. That said, I LOVED this book, and I will totally be going back to snag book one.
This novella has everything that I want in an erotic romance: a bad boy, cowboys, rope work, and a sex camp. You heard me. Sex camp. Bootknockers is a vacation spot where women can go to learn sexual confidence and exploration, and each one of them is assigned to a cowboy for the duration of their stay. Ruthie comes to the ranch to break free of the religious shackles that her parents have put on her since she was born. She gets assigned to Damian, a delicious bad boy of the ranch who's done hard time and has more skeletons in his closet.
I loved watching their relationship grow. It starts off all business but slowly grows to become much more than that the more that Damian helps Ruthie explore her sexuality and herself in general. They grow closer both physically and emotionally and I couldn't help but to hope that they would make their way through their struggles to their own personal happy ever after.
And the sex scenes, y'all. Oh lord. This is the first story that I have ever read by Em Petrova but I certainly hope it won't be the last. She writes hot, sexy scenes that forced me to read this book in small chunks. I had had every intention of reading this in class. That is, until the scenes made me blush and I felt like people knew the erotica I was reading and I had to cool off. Well played, Em. Well played. But what I most enjoyed is that even though there were a lot of sex scenes, there was a solid plot too. There was a nice blend of both, and I was pulled in by both equally.
I recommend this quick read to fans of romance, BDSM, and cowboys. This book contains explicit sex scenes (duh) and so I'd recommend it to those over 18. Thanks so much to Samhain Publishing & Netgalley for my copy in exchange for my honest review.

Damien has a couple of secrets but, so far, he's been able to keep them to himself. Ruthie just wants to be able to enjoy sex without the guilt and shame from her religious family. If the Boot Knockers Ranch was a real place, it would be booked 52 weeks a year and a waiting list a mile long. After all, what woman wouldn't want to pampered and loved to heart's content for a week?
That's exactly what Ruthie was looking for when she spotted the brochure for Boot Knockers Ranch. After several less than satisfying relationships, she's looking for a man who knows what he's doing in the bedroom and can help her overcome the rigidity instilled into her by her overzealous religious parents. Its hard to orgasm when, in the moment, you can feel your parents disdain if yur parents ever found out you had pleasurable sex.
Damian Vince is a Boot Knocker and enjoys his place on the ranch. Fighting demons of his own, he feels free in ways he never has and cemented his place on the ranch.
Ruthie and Damian fall into lust at first sight and make the most of their time together.

The 2nd book in the Boot Knockers Series was FULL of steamy sex, and can be read as a stand-alone.
Ruthie, a third-grade teacher from a modest, religious family decides she's ready to confront her abnormal views on sex and enjoy a week of stress-free, non-commitment, sexy-time with a genuine cowboy on a working Texas ranch. (And BOY does she get that plus some!)
Damian is the bad-boy cowboy, with a guarded past that decides to be Ruthie's "guide"...and what a guide he is :)
I LOVED the 1st book in this series, unfortunately I didn't enjoy this one as much.
I was waiting for some shocking reveal from Damian, which was hinted to throughout the story. I think I wanted a lot more "story" to occur, but instead was treated to a tremendous amount of sex (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
Overall, I did like the characters, the sex was hot, and I love the idea of the Ranch!

WOW! This is another off the charts hot and steamy read from Ms Petrova. She is a mistress of the genre, there is no doubt. Every one of her books is a delight to read, successfully combining great story-lines and mind frazzlingly hot scenes.
This is the second in a series. Although we get to see old friends and glimpses of their happiness, but this is Damian's story through and through. There are so many shadows of other characters wanting to be in the limelight, that I am sure I shall be enjoying another late night when book 3 sizzles into my Kindle.

This is the second book in this series. They are better read in order. This book focuses on Damian. He is a bad boy and most wanted cowboy at the ranch. He has a past. He has been in jail. He has his life together now. His girl of the week is a prim school teacher named Ruthie. She came to ranch with help letting go and getting over her strict upbringing. She has had sex before its just been nothing to write home about. Damian is slow and patient with her. He shows her what it can really be like. She brings out something in him. But he worries that they could never be more than this week with the secrets he is hiding. Plus, he thinks she has someone at home. Ruthie wishes they could be more too. Will they be able to find a way? This book was such a good read. Damian has a softer side. Ruthie just wants to help him with the secret he is hiding. She doesn’t see him differently because of it. I am loving this series. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series. Great job Em.

Em has came up with one of the most romantic and the sweetest series I've ever read in my life...for real. Both books in this series is hotter than sin, but outlines issues both the men and women face. Damian has had a rough life not knowing how to read and has skated by. When he gets Ruthie as his girl for the week, he falls for her quick and hard, but doesn't feel he deserves her. She's so sweet and fits with him like a glove. Once she realizes what his problem is, she asks for time to help him, but when he doesn't return, she gives up and leaves. I wanted to cry honestly. He's such a talented photographer, he just needs to learn to read and write and he could go so far, but he's so down on himself. I cannot wait to see who gets knocked off his boots next.

This particular story was about a school teacher who was raised by religious zealot parents who left her looking for love as well as good sex. She was chosen by a sexy cowboy who was a little kinky. He was dyslexic and teachers never realized and acted to help homeland. As a result, he quit in the eighth grade and never learned to read. This is a heart-warming story with lots of steaming sex and two characters you end up loving.

I loved this couple!!! They had so much heat and heart.
I loved that Damian would do anything to make Ruthie happy! He did such an amazing job bringing her out of her shell. The photo's he took of her soundsed beautifully elegant but also sinful in the best way. I loved that she was open with him to explore this side of herself without judgement.
I also liked Damian as a man. He was a great boot knocker but he was also a great friend. He was there for Paul with his issues. He cares about the ranch and the people.
My hear broke for Damian when I found out what he had been struggling with. I loved that Ruthie was able to see it first and knew that she was capable of helping him.

Ruthie decides to apply to the Boot Knockers Ranch to shed her strict religious upbringing, she only hopes a cowboy will pick her. Boot knocking cowboys select the girls in a reality tv sort of way by buzzing in their interest. It’s kinda of weird but the appeal of having two or more strong, sexy, virile male specimen duking it out isn’t lost on the female participants or the readers. This was also a book about a man struggling with his secrets and a woman struggling with her upbringing.
Damian and Ruthie found each other at the Boot Knockers Ranch and were able to open doors for one another that they each thought could never be opened. It all ends in a HEA for them.
I think you would enjoy the Boot Knockers series. Each cowboy and his lady has a different issue to overcome, and manage to find the perfect partner(s) to help the get there.

I love Damian! Even though this book has a lot of sex in it you do get to know the characters.
Ruthie came to the ranch to try find herself and and be her own person. She came from a very religious and strict family. When she meets Damian it's instant attraction, and visa versa. The connection they have and the secrets that Damian has been hiding from everyone all his life Ruthie finds out.
My heart actually hurt for him. But as always there's a happily ever after, it's the getting there that's the fun part.
I listened to this on audiobook through my library on hoopla.

Another amazing book in this series
I liked the two narratives, hers & his. It was nice to understand where both stood emotionally during the book. The author knows how to explain what the female body is feeling and doing throughout her sexual experience with her partner. Well written and explained sex scenes throughout story. Can NOT waited to read the 3rd book in this series.

Swooning for the Cowboy
Another great book in this series! It’s easy to get caught up in the drama that makes it the Boot Knockers Ranch, but the underlying secret that Damian keeps is one many people are living with. A touching look at something so common in today’s society, and the sweetest resolution when Ruthie helps him as much as he helps her.

This straight forward, unashamed smut with a plot. It is actually well written and the characters are decently well rounded. While this is not fancy literature, it is fun and a good read.

Wow! Ummm … just … yeah. Ms. Petrova has done it again. In Body Language we return to the Boot Knockers Ranch for another round of cowboy lovin’. I will admit that initially I was a bit disappointed to learn that Ruthie was only getting one cowboy – no ménage this time. However, Damian turned out to be just the right cowboy to get this job done, no assist needed.
Ruthie is an elementary school teacher with a stringent religious upbringing (seriously, having a nice steak for dinner is gluttonous?), who is hoping that a week at the Boot Knockers Ranch will help her find the big “O” and get over the guilt and shame that her parents instilled in her regarding sex. Fortunately Damian is hot for teacher and cannot wait to start the lessons. If you have read Ms. Petrova’s writing before then you know that she writes good sex and Body Language is no exception. The sex between Ruthie and Damian is H.O.T. hot and more than one scene left me squirming. But there is more to the developing relationship between Ruthie and Damian than just unbelievably hot sex and as secrets are revealed and the week comes to an end, they have to decide whether to say adios or ride off into the sunset together.
Body Language is an excellent addition to the series. I love the way the cowboys are able to fulfil the women’s fantasies, while meeting her needs and helping her come into her own as a sexual individual. The interactions between Ruthie and Damian were entertaining. Characters from book one made appearances so that readers of the series were able to find out what’s going on in their lives. Ms. Petrova once again demonstrated her talent as a writer. She has written a book that is sinfully sexy, yet so freaking sweet in parts – I nearly cried during the Epilogue. I am looking forward to my next visit to the Boot Knockers Ranch already.

Ruthie was raised to think that sex was bad and to be leery of men. She has tried to be intimate with men but always get the ones that take what they want and give her nothing. So she goes to the boot knockers ranch. She hopes that they will be able to help her but once she see's them she is shell shocked. All of the men were gorgeous. When two of they guys get into a fight over her she doesn't know what to think but she is intrigued by Damian so she chooses him. It's instant attraction however she does still have issues overcoming thinking about intimacy being wrong. Damian will have to be very persuasive to help her get over that one. But what happens when she finds that she likes him just a little too much.
Damian has no problem being a boot knocker but when the little school teacher Ruthie gets on stage he is instantly attracted and can't stand the thought of one of the others having her. Damian can't get enough of Ruthie. He is everything that he never knew that he wanted. But Damian has a secret that not even the other book knockers know. Will his secret be the end of them or will he get they both be able to work through their issues and realize that they are meant for each other?
My Opinion:
Once again another great story in the book knockers series. I loved it. I think that Damian and Ruthie might be my favorites so far. In all of the books that I have read from this author she never fails to deliver a great story! There is love, passion, some interesting interactions between some of the other book knockers and a hot cowboy with a problem that makes him think he isn't worthy of love. It is the second book in a series but it can be read as a stand alone. I definitely recommend reading!
