Lee Strobel is best known for his bestselling books and lectures on the topic of apologetics. After being featured in God’s Not Dead 2, his own life is now the subject for a full-length feature film from Pure Flix Entertainment. He is excited about the possibility of trimming the existing Case for Christianity Answer Book into a booklet-sized product that will help lift the visibility of several the parent book (the Answer Book), the newly recover Case for Christ that will release in tandem with the movie, as well as promoting the movie itself.

About the author

Lee Patrick Strobel is an American Christian author and a former investigative journalist. He has written several books, including four that received ECPA Christian Book Awards (1994, 1999, 2001, 2005)[2] and a series which addresses challenges to the veracity of Christianity. He also hosted a television program called Faith Under Fire on PAX TV and runs a video apologetics web site.

I brought this along with me to read while waiting for a dentist appointment. It was short and simple but packed a lot of great insights. Even facts and things that I've already known from before were written in ways that had me engrossed, immersed, and eager to learn more.

The writing style is very clear and easy to read. Although it often feels like he's writing a legal document rather than a theological book (I mean, I know I know, what else could you expect? But still), the writing is never too technical or difficult enough to be hard to understand. His examples are also very helpful and apposite and allow you to fully grasp the ideas they are elucidating. He made excellent points and was very concise and direct; no words were wasted. I found myself absorbed in this book, and it was very helpful to have solid answers to questions many nonchristians ask us as Christians.

Strobel does a great job at creating a solid argument that isn't preachy but gives you the solid facts and evidence for the Christian faith and leaves it up to you to decide for yourself whether you believe his case is viable or not. He writes it in a way that is not at all from a moral high ground but from a man who has gone through the same road of doubt, unbelief, or uncertainty that everyone has gone through, at one point or another, and in this way feels very relatable.

This book is great for both Christians and non-Christians alike. For Christians, it helps give you a more solid foundation for your beliefs, provides you with the knowledge you need to defend your position, and gives you greater insight into how true Christianity is. For non-Christians, it presents a very good introduction to Christianity and supplies many reasons as to why Christians believe what they believe and why they can have an assurance that Jesus truly is the Christ, our Lord and Savior, resurrected and seated at the right-hand of God.

My Search for Answers

There seem to be many people who are Christians, and until I watched the movie “The Case for Christ” I was sure I was a Christian and had all the answers. Christ was born, he lived, he was crucified and rose from the dead. Christ was the Son of God and died for my sins. But the movie has made me ask questions and think about things I didn’t before. So I did some research on the author and his books and I’ve started with this book, although I purchased both the movie and the book “The Case for Christ”. It has answered some questions and points me to where I can find more answers.

Our pastor did a series on the Case for Christ and gave out these little books. Aaron and I read it together. We have read quite a few of his books so some of the material is things we already read in other books but he is a good author and we definitely we pass this one forward, as well as the rest. i recommend everything I have read so far from Lee Strobel. Excellent researcher & author!

As a fan of all things Strobel, this was disappointing. I expected more of a nugget-filled outline of his more detailed work. If I were to hand this to my two favorite skeptics, they would find it lacking. With all enthusiasm, though, I heartily recommend Lee Strobel's books and DVD's. He has done and will continue to do wonderful work for the kingdom.

Even though I have been a believer all my life, I was encouraged to read this short book and see, in a no-fluff manner, evidence after evidence knocking down many of the common arguments against Christ.
