This volume was really cute. This book introduced two new characters who are twins, Ryo and Miyabi. They are interesting characters but I also know that their introduction will make more obstacles for the main characters to overcome seeing as there are only two more volumes of this series for me to read. I do like how Miyabi is not the typical manga love rival because she is younger and more innocent. My favourite part of this book is seeing Nao and Taiga's first encounter from Taiga's point of view and what drew him to Nao. But also his inner thoughts were so cute and innocent about wanting to connect with people but they misunderstand and make him into an outcast. Overall I enjoyed reading this book. It made me feel anxious and worried for Nao, and I'm intrigued to see what will happen next. I'm sad that I'm near the end of this series.

So. Much. ANGST!

My heart can't take this and I actually skipped to the next volume to see what happens after finding out we have a love rival, but ONISE!! Please do NOT be so helpful to other people outside of Nao or other dudes! *cries* He's so precious and he doesn't even realize what he's doing, but *sigh* the reader does.

I LOVED his backstory though! That was SO heart-moving! And Nao! <3 <3 <3

And the near ending!! GAH! That was very much a flail moment seeing those two!! SO CUTE!

But *sigh* the ending wasn't my favorite because #loverival.

I just need my ship to be left alone and in their own lovey-dovey world...

The flashback chapter/story has to be the most emotional chapter of this series yet! So far we've been having a lot of fuwa fuwa moments so this one was probably one of the more serious moments of the show.

Also, I like Miyabi but Ryuu really annoys the _ out of me. I was happy at first that Miyabi just views Taiga as a mentor but it looks like things are about to change next volume. WELP. 🤷🏻‍♂️

No one can figure out everything on their own.

As always, this series never fails to make me happy. I like how it actually tackles topics most shojo series don't. One huge difference is how the series is about a couple learning to navigate a relationship. This is their first one and they place a lot of importance on communication, which thank flipping raptors for that because otherwise this would have become Generic Shojo #49567.

Nothing really special about this volume, but it's setting up an arc to deal with jealousy when Mr. Steal Your Man trouble-with-communicating-kouhai girl shows up. She's trying hard to make friends and Taiga instantly clicks with her because he had the same issue. Nao helped him make friends and become confident in himself and he wants to help this girl out. Problem is she's falling for him and is unintentionally hurting the very people she's trying to befriend.

I also appreciate how both Nao and Taiga talk shit out when they're jealous, insecure, etc like actual people so nothing's dragged out. Because of that, we actually get a kiss scene that's not in volume 105 like most shojo. And it wasn't one of those BOOM kisses. Nao was like DUDE GIMME.

Pick up this series if you're interested in shojo that is really light hearted but actually doesn't dwell or intentionally create drama. Bless you.

*I don't support scans and own all the manga I read/review.

Alright, so this volume introduces easily my least favorite character in the series, Miyabi. The bulk of my issues will have to be shelved for the next volume's review, but let's just say her character is portrayed in a way that I do not agree with. Also, her twin brother is annoying and I'm just going to spoil this now, he never gets any character development or growth. He's just super one-dimensional and obnoxious throughout his run in the series. I was thinking of taking off a star because of these two, but since we get Tai's backstory and how he met Nao I can't fathom doing that. Also the fact that he genuinely cares about Miyabi's well-being and her making friends is too damn cute.

I am still loving this. I think it mostly depicts the reality of teen love. Awkwardness, jealousy, and confusion mostly. It's awesome. I am honestly surprised I am loving it as much as I am. They keep adding new elements that make the story and characters grow and develop. You really start to feel like you know the characters. Overall, thus far it is a very cute and enjoyable quick read. I promise you won't put it down once you pick it up.

NAO AND TAIGA ARE TOO PURE FOR THIS WORLD, AND I LOVE THEM WITH MY WHOLE HEART AND SOUL!!!!!!!!
I adore watching this budding love story. Nao and Taiga are both learning how to better love each other as they grow into their relationship and face various struggles.
They deal with jealousy, and potential love rivals, and I look forward to seeing what they do with it!

Nao is planning a surprise party and is the one surprised when she finds another injured soul to tend. Again the story is too sweet for words, but I love the confidence I see growing between Nao and Taiga. This is still one of my ultimate favorite manga!

This entire volume was just fine. It mostly serves as an introduction to the two new main characters and setting up a future storyline. This is fine but since they have fluffy bits to help keep readers interested but it makes this volume feel like an entire book of setup for the next volume.
The new characters are fine. However their introductions feels awkward as it feels as if they're just being inserted to create a new issue to continue to the story before coming to its conclusion. Most of the story's main goals feel like they're almost fully realized. Don't get me wrong, these new characters allow for some neat extrapolation like seeing how Taiga deals with his past by helping his new friend as well as heavily hinted arc coming up which I'm looking ahead to reading. Hopefully its not just a retread of a previous arc but with Nao dealing with feelings of jealousy it looks like it'll be a neat arc.
I really do enjoy the new characters. Especially the girl who reminds me a lot of Luna Lovelace which is my fave Harry Potter character. But I fear it'll be like the other new characters who are given an arc and then sidelined. Like what happened to Taiga's mom who almost entirely disappears sadly and to a lighter degree Ayaha. They are super neat are they both act as sorts of foils to Taiga which is neat as it helps us learn more about Taiga as he interacts with both.
This volume does do some neat things for Nao x Taiga like . Regarding the inclusion of backstory I feel eh. I felt eh about early Honey So Sweet and the backstory brought me back to those eh feelings. Although
Overall not a bad volume but a bit lacking and mostly feels like setup and a continuation of the story for the sake of adding in a bit extra depth before the enclosing finale of the story.

Oh! New characters and a romantic complication! Nao plans a surprise party for Tai (so sweet) but things go awry when she's accidentally abducted by an old friend of his. Ryo's pretty rude (thinking Nao's not good enough for Tai) but still has enough respect for his friend to let it be.

Ryo and his twin sister Miyabi soon enter Nao and Tai's school and inadvertently stir up trouble. Miyabi is a nice girl but has 0% social skills so Tai takes it upon himself to help her. Nao's advice ends up being the most helpful, and Miyabi ends up making some friends.

From here it happens that instead of focusing on making more friends, a new romantic rival emerges. It's an interesting framework here that I don't think I've seen before. Of course, it's going to continue into the next volume as Miyabi only just realizes her feelings towards Tai.

This was a super cute and sweet volume. I like the twins who were introduced in this volume, they seem like really nice characters.
I think what I like about this series in a way is that there is not really any extreme drama around Tai and Nao, things happen to them and they work through it together, or they work in progressing/strengthening their relationship. It's just really sweet and a nice change, because it is not something that always happens.

3.75/5

This volume focused on the Nishigaki twins, especially Miyabi and how she and Taiga form a bond. I like how Taiga-kun was able to take experience and find it within himself to want to help her, as her situation reminded him of his own before meeting Nao-chan. We got to hear the events that happened in his perspective, rather than just what the "rumors" that other characters spread around about him.

Dear Abby, this so sweet 🥹

New characters introduced - what I think 🤔

Ryo seems like a butt, especially towards Nao. His hero worshiping to Taiga was funny, but again his towards other people isn’t cool. His sister, Miyabi especially who may I add is the cutest human ever?

I kinda sensing there may be tension here and there, but I hope it’s not full blown drama, because we don’t need none of that. What I do hope is that Nao and Miyabi become good friends.

Oh, I love the twins! Ryo is so funny in his admiration of Tai, and Miyabi is so sweet and innocent, like a puppy! I love how open she is with her feelings, even if it takes her a while to speak. I can see her becoming a new favorite!

With two volumes to go, I'm trying my best to save a spoilery rave... however, can we just gush over the cuteness overload that is Taiga's job? Our guy, the one who had no friends due to his "scary face" now gets paid to dress up in a furry bear suit to deliver presents.
