Facing Reality

*Warning (because apparently some people need warning for a book that has no happy ending *smacks forehead.* This damn generation I tell ya) this book doesn't have a Happy Ever After. Read at your own discretion. If you're offended....well boohoo*

After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I suddenly remembered that I still had my Math homework to finish. Sighing, I left my bedroom and went down the stairs.

When I reached the bottom step, I was aware of voices from the living room. I figured then that it was probably just my brother and dad talking, so I proceeded to head over there. I entered, and when I saw who were talking, I froze and a couple of things dawned on me at the same time.

My plan had backfired.

I had entered hell.

He was sitting lazily on the couch.

My homework was on the coffee table, smack dab in front of him.

Which meant I had to go near him.

And he was smirking at me, as if he knew.

Damn.

Good but no HEA

Disappointed really. I was into the book but then at 85% I started getting annoyed with the heroine. I felt cheated since the storyline was really about having a friend die in the end. The romance was a tease really. I didn't like what the author said in the end how life is not always a happy ending and that this was really dedicated to a memory of someone. I know that life is not all roses but a warning at the summary that this was no HE A would have been nice. The worst was the epilogue..again a tease. I felt like the potential romance was added to lure the romantic reader but at the end it was really a story about a friend who died. Not happy about this book ...the writing was great but I felt cheated in a way. I read books to be entertained and swept away romantically. This book did not. If you're like me, I wouldn't recommend this book.

I find it terrible how this was a blatantly plagiarized copy of someone else's work on Fictionpress. Not for Me by tickledblue. https://m.fictionpress.com/s/1645480/1/

Kitty Parker: It looks like you've plagiarized several stories. Why?
