Danica Lewis is no stranger to a broken heart, but having survived heartbreak that would've killed most people, at best she's a survivor. A fighter. A persevering damsel in desperate need of real love. Even though the toxic relationship she's currently stuck in with her abusive, vindictive and unfaithful boyfriend Stone seems an impossible feat, Danica somehow manages to bear it. That is until she runs into Josiah Michaels. The sweetest man she's ever known, and a certified heart fixer. Josiah's a Jesus-lover, and with his wit, charm, and uncanny ability to love, his world shows Danica that happiness does exist. But Stone's not letting go so easily, and when tragedy strikes, Danica finds that love is the only thing that can fix her heart. Fallin' for Josiah is an emotional roller-coaster and destined to show the power of God's transformative love.
Danica was so crazy and stuck in a warped relationship with Stone. I got so mad at her foolishness! Josiah was a breath of fresh air. Overall a good read! The ending was too abrupt and the author gives no closure as to Danica & Josiah hoping there's a sequel!
Wow. This book started out with a bang. I was stuck. The story of Danica and Stone had me shaking my head, blowing out breaths and wanting to jump in the pages. To often stoeies like this are real and so many are in the fight for their lives due to whatever reason for them. Abuse is never okay and to read this story was heart breaking, but in the end, God used Josiah to get His message across. So often, we reject a blessing because of how it looks. Outstanding read. The writer told this story effortlessly and there were no long periods of dialogue. To the point and moving right along. Loved it.
This is a must read for every woman. You will learn how to depend on God, how your life will change once you believe and put your trust in God. I enjoyed how this book covered all the good and bad with what women believe their life should be. I am looking toward to reading more of this author Christian books..😇
Danica is a young lady that felt unloved, she was abused, and misused. Her mom left her when she turned eighteen years old. After being homeless she met Stone; who gave her a place to live. Stone cheated on Danica and abused her. After running into Josiah her life begun to change. Danica learned to trust and believe in God and know about love. Awesome job.
I thought the story was well written with the exception of the black lingo.. I know some people talk like that, but I think it is the exception not the rule. I don't like hearing everyone in a story talk with poor English, because that's just not realistic. Some one in their life must speak regular English. I don't care to read any more of her books because of that.
I'll admit this book spoke volumes although it began slowly for me. I felt bad for Danica because she was so lost and trying to find her way. She accepted the things she should've easily put an end to but without the proper guidance it all proved to be difficult. Stone was a handful and didn't realize the gem he had in Danica. There were so many times I could only shake my head because Danica allowed fear to paralyze her into staying in an unhealthy situation. Josiah came in right on time. Although there were still obstacles that stood in the way, Danica finally took the necessary steps to begin working on herself. God is always on time and Danica got the breakthrough she needed. Prayer and faith got her on the road to healing and things quickly began to look up. I was glad she allowed herself to forgive and realized being selfish could only complicate things further. I got teary-eyed a few times but overall I'm glad Danica finally got a shot at peace and happiness with the one that helped her realize just how good God is and works.
This was a different kind of read from what I usually read. It's a refreshing change from the usual drugs and gangs. So many people pass over Christian reads because they think that it won't be a good read without all the sex and drugs but you can have a great clean read without those things. This book was a great read with a message. It brought out a range of emotions from anger to sadness and finally happiness. A must read
Once Danica and Josiah found each other again I didn't understand why she stayed with Stone? Stone was so disrespectful and the way he let Biggs take advantage of her I wanted to beat him up. Nae was no better cause she could of got Terry to help
